וַיַּגֵּ֤ד אַחְאָב֙ לְאִיזֶ֔בֶל אֵ֛ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה אֵלִיָּ֑הוּ וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָרַ֛ג אֶת־כָּל הַ־נְּבִיאִ֖ים בֶּחָֽרֶב׃

Καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν Ἀχαὰβ τῇ Ἰεζάβελ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ πάντα ἐποίησεν Ἠλειοὺ καὶ ὡς ἀπέκτεινεν τοὺς προφήτας ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ.

וַתִּשְׁלַ֤ח אִיזֶ֨בֶל֙ מַלְאָ֔ךְ אֶל־אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּֽה יַעֲשׂ֤וּ־ן אֱלֹהִים֙ וְכֹ֣ה יוֹסִפ֔וּן כִּֽי כָ־עֵ֤ת מָחָר֙ אָשִׂ֣ים אֶֽת נַפְשְׁ־ךָ֔ כְּנֶ֖פֶשׁ אַחַ֥ד מֵהֶֽם׃

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ἰεζάβελ πρὸς Ἠλειοὺ καὶ εἶπεν Εἰ σὺ εἶ Ἠλειοὺ καὶ ἐγὼ Ἰεζάβελ, τάδε ποιήσαι μοι θεὸς καὶ τάδε προσθείη, ὅτι ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον θήσομαι τὴν ψυχήν σου καθὼς ψυχὴν ἑνὸς ἐξ αὐτῶν.

καὶ ἐφοβήθη Ἠλειού, καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ ἀπῆλθεν κατὰ τὴν ψυχὴν ἑαυτοῦ, καὶ ἔρχεται εἰς Βηρσάβεε γῆν Ἰούδα, καὶ ἀφῆκεν τὸ παιδάριον αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ.

וְהֽוּא־הָלַ֤ךְ בַּמִּדְבָּר֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ י֔וֹם וַיָּבֹ֕א וַיֵּ֕שֶׁב תַּ֖חַת רֹ֣תֶם אחת וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל אֶת נַפְשׁ־וֹ֙ לָמ֔וּת וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ׀ רַ֗ב עַתָּ֤ה יְהוָה֙ קַ֣ח נַפְשִׁ֔י כִּֽי־לֹא־ט֥וֹב אָנֹכִ֖י מֵאֲבֹתָֽי׃

καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπορεύθη ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὁδὸν ἡμέρας, καὶ ἦλθεν καὶ ἐκάθισεν ὑποκάτω ῥαθμέν · καὶ ᾐτήσατο τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἀποθανεῖν καὶ εἶπεν Ἰκανούσθω νῦν, λάβε δὴ τὴν ψυχήν μου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ, Κύριε, ὅτι οὐ κρείσσων ἐγώ εἰμι ὑπὲρ τοὺς πατέρας μου.

et perréxit in desértum, viam uníus diéi. Cumque venísset, et sedéret subter unam iuníperum, petívit ánimæ suæ ut morerétur, et ait: Súfficit mihi Dómine, tolle ánimam meam: neque enim mélior sum, quam patres mei.

וַיִּשְׁכַּב֙ וַיִּישַׁ֔ן תַּ֖חַת רֹ֣תֶם אֶחָ֑ד וְהִנֵּֽה־זֶ֤ה מַלְאָךְ֙ נֹגֵ֣עַ בּ֔וֹ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ל֖וֹ ק֥וּם אֱכֽוֹל׃

καὶ ἐκοιμήθη καὶ ὕπνωσεν ἐκεῖ ὑπὸ φυτόν · καὶ ἰδού τις ἥψατο αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ἀνάστηθι καὶ φάγε.

καὶ ἐπέβλεψεν Ἠλειού, καὶ ἰδοὺ πρὸς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ ἐνκρυφίας ὀλυρείτης καὶ καψάκης ὕδατος · καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ ἔφαγεν καὶ ἔπιεν, καὶ ἐπιστρέψας ἐκοιμήθη.

καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ ἔφαγεν καὶ ἔπιεν · καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι τῆς βρώσεως ἐκείνης τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσεράκοντα νύκτας ἕως ὄρους Χωρήβ.

Καὶ εἰσῆλθεν ἐκεῖ εἰς τὸ σπήλαιον καὶ κατέλυσεν ἐκεῖ · καὶ ἰδοὺ ῥῆμα Κυρίου πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπεν Τί σὺ ἐνταῦθα, Ἠλειού;

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ קַנֹּ֨א קִנֵּ֜אתִי לַיהוָ֣ה ׀ אֱלֹהֵ֣י צְבָא֗וֹת כִּֽי־עָזְב֤וּ בְרִֽיתְךָ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶת מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣י־ךָ הָרָ֔סוּ וְאֶת נְבִיאֶ֖י־ךָ הָרְג֣וּ בֶחָ֑רֶב וָֽאִוָּתֵ֤ר אֲנִי֙ לְבַדִּ֔י וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ אֶת נַפְשִׁ֖־י לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃

καὶ εἶπεν Ἠλειού Ζηλῶν ἐζήλωκα τῷ κυρίῳ Παντοκράτορι, ὅτι ἐνκατέλιπόν σε οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ · τὰ θυσιαστήριά σου κατέσκαψαν καὶ τοὺς προφήτας σου ἀπέκτειναν ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ, ὑπολέλειμμαι ἐγὼ μονώτατος, καὶ ζητοῦσί μου τὴν ψυχὴν λαβεῖν αὐτήν.

At ille respóndit: Zelo zelátus sum pro Dómino Deo exercítuum, quia dereliquérunt pactum tuum fílii Israel: altária tua destruxérunt, prophétas tuos occidérunt gládio, derelíctus sum ego solus, et quærunt ánimam meam ut áuferant eam.

And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, [even] I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר צֵ֣א וְעָמַדְתָּ֣ בָהָר֮ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָה֒ וְהִנֵּ֧ה יְהוָ֣ה עֹבֵ֗ר וְר֣וּחַ גְּדוֹלָ֡ה וְחָזָ֞ק מְפָרֵק֩ הָרִ֨ים וּמְשַׁבֵּ֤ר סְלָעִים֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה לֹ֥א בָר֖וּחַ יְהוָ֑ה וְאַחַ֤ר הָר֨וּחַ רַ֔עַשׁ לֹ֥א בָרַ֖עַשׁ יְהוָֽה׃

καὶ εἶπεν Ἐξελεύσῃ αὔριον καὶ στήσῃ ἐνώπιον Κυρίου ἐν τῷ ὄρει · ἰδοὺ παρελεύσεται Κύριος. καὶ πνεῦμα μέγα κραταιὸν διαλῦον ὄρη καὶ συντρῖβον πέτρας ἐνώπιον Κυρίου, ἐν τῷ πνεύματι Κυρίου · καὶ μετὰ τὸ πνεῦμα συνσεισμός, οὐκ ἐν τῷ συνσεισμῷ Κύριος ·

וְאַחַ֤ר הָרַ֨עַשׁ֙ אֵ֔שׁ לֹ֥א בָאֵ֖שׁ יְהוָ֑ה וְאַחַ֣ר הָאֵ֔שׁ ק֖וֹל דְּמָמָ֥ה דַקָּֽה׃

καὶ μετὰ τὸν συνσεισμὸν πῦρ, οὐκ ἐν τῷ πυρὶ Κύριος · καὶ μετὰ τὸ πῦρ φωνὴ αὔρας λεπτῆς.

וַיְהִ֣י ׀ כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ אֵלִיָּ֗הוּ וַיָּ֤לֶט פָּנָיו֙ בְּאַדַּרְתּ֔וֹ וַיֵּצֵ֕א וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד פֶּ֣תַח הַמְּעָרָ֑ה וְהִנֵּ֤ה אֵלָיו֙ ק֔וֹל וַיֹּ֕אמֶר מַה לְּ־ךָ֥ פֹ֖ה אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃

καὶ εἶπεν Κύριος πρὸς αὐτόν Πορεύου, ἀνάστρεφε εἰς τὴν ὁδόν σου, καὶ ἥξεις εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν ἐρήμου Δαμασκοῦ · καὶ ἥξεις καὶ χρίσεις τὸν Ἁζαὴλ εἰς βασιλέα τῆς Συρίας ·

וְאֵת֙ יֵה֣וּא בֶן־נִמְשִׁ֔י תִּמְשַׁ֥ח לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאֶת־אֱלִישָׁ֤ע בֶּן־שָׁפָט֙ מֵאָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה תִּמְשַׁ֥ח לְנָבִ֖יא תַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃

καὶ τὸν υἱὸν Εἰοὺ υἱοῦ Ναμεσθεὶ χρίσεις εἰς βασιλέα ἐπὶ Ἰσραήλ · καὶ τὸν Ἐλεισαῖε υἱὸν Σαφὰθ χρίσεις ἐξ Ἐβαλμαουλὰ προφήτην ἀντὶ σοῦ.

וְהָיָ֗ה הַנִּמְלָ֛ט מֵחֶ֥רֶב חֲזָאֵ֖ל יָמִ֣ית יֵה֑וּא וְהַנִּמְלָ֛ט מֵחֶ֥רֶב יֵה֖וּא יָמִ֥ית אֱלִישָֽׁע׃

καὶ ἔσται τὸν σωζόμενον ἐκ ῥομφαίας Ἁζαὴλ θανατώσει Εἰού, καὶ τὸν σωζόμενον ἐκ ῥομφαίας Εἰοὺ θανατώσει Ἐλεισαῖε.

Et erit: quicúmque fúgerit gládium Házael, occídet eum Iehu: et quicúmque fúgerit gládium Iehu, interfíciet eum Eliséus.

וְהִשְׁאַרְתִּ֥י בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל שִׁבְעַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֑ים כָּל הַ־בִּרְכַּ֗יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־כָֽרְעוּ֙ לַבַּ֔עַל וְכָ֨ל הַ־פֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־נָשַׁ֖ק לֽוֹ׃

καὶ καταλεὶψεις ἐν Ἰσραὴλ ἑπτὰ χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν, πάντα γόνατα οὐκ ὤκλασαν γόνυ τῷ Βάαλ, καὶ πᾶν στόμα οὐ προσεκύνησεν αὐτῷ.

Et derelínquam mihi in Israel septem míllia virórum, quorum génua non sunt incurváta ante Baal, et omne os quod non adorávit eum ósculans manus.

וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ מִ֠שָּׁם וַיִּמְצָ֞א אֶת־אֱלִישָׁ֤ע בֶּן־שָׁפָט֙ וְה֣וּא חֹרֵ֔שׁ שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֤ר צְמָדִים֙ לְפָנָ֔יו וְה֖וּא בִּשְׁנֵ֣ים הֶעָשָׂ֑ר וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר אֵלִיָּ֨הוּ֙ אֵלָ֔יו וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ אַדַּרְתּ֖וֹ אֵלָֽיו׃

Καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ἐκεῖθεν, καὶ εὑρίσκει τὸν Ἐλεισαῖε υἱὸν Σαφάτ, καὶ αὐτὸς ἠροτρία ἐν βουσίν · δώδεκα ζεύγη ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ, καὶ αὐτὸς ἐν τοῖς δώδεκα · ἐπῆλθεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, καὶ ἐπέρριψε τὴν μηλωτὴν αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν.

καὶ κατέλιπεν Ἐλεισαῖε τὰς βόας, καὶ κατέδραμεν ὀπίσω Ἠλειοὺ καὶ εἶπεν Καταφιλήσω τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ ἀκολουθήσω ὀπίσω σου · καὶ εἶπεν Ἠλειού Ἀνάστρεφε, ὅτι πεποίηκὰ σοι.

καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν ἐξόπισθεν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔλαβεν τὰ ζεύγη τῶν βοῶν καὶ ἔθυσεν καὶ ἥψησεν αὐτὰ ἐν τοῖς σκεύεσι τῶν βοῶν, καὶ ἔδωκεν τῷ λαῷ καὶ ἔφαγον · καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ ἐπορεύθη ὀπίσω Ἠλειοὺ, καὶ ἐλειτούργει αὐτῷ.
