אָ֣ז יַקְהֵ֣ל שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה אֶת־זִקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל אֶת־כָּל־רָאשֵׁ֣י הַמַּטּוֹת֩ נְשִׂיאֵ֨י הָאָב֜וֹת לִבְנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶל הַ־מֶּ֥לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם לְֽהַעֲל֞וֹת אֶת־אֲר֧וֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָ֛ה מֵעִ֥יר דָּוִ֖ד הִ֥יא צִיּֽוֹן׃

Καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς συνετέλεσεν Σαλωμὼν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον Κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον ἑαυτοῦ μετὰ εἴκοσι ἔτη, τότε ἐξεκκλησίασεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμὼν πάντας τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους Ἰσραὴλ ἐν Σειὼν τοῦ ἐνεγκεῖν τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης Κυρίου ἐκ πόλεως Δαυείδ, αὕτη ἐστὶν Σειών,

Rex autem Sálomon, et omnis multitúdo Israel, quæ convénerat ad eum, gradiebátur cum illo ante arcam, et immolábant oves et boves absque æstimatióne et número.

καὶ εἰσφέρουσιν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῆς, εἰς τὸ δαβεὶρ τοῦ οἴκου, εἰς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων, ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας τῶν χερουβείν.

כִּ֤י הַכְּרוּבִים֙ פֹּרְשִׂ֣ים כְּנָפַ֔יִם אֶל־מְק֖וֹם הָֽאָר֑וֹן וַיָּסֹ֧כּוּ הַכְּרֻבִ֛ים עַל הָ־אָר֥וֹן וְעַל בַּדָּ֖י־ו מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃

ὅτι τὰ χερουβεὶν διαπεπετασμένα ταῖς πτέρυξιν ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον τῆς κιβωτοῦ · καὶ περιεκάλυπτον τὰ χερουβεὶν ἐπὶ τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἅγια αὐτῆς ἐπάνωθεν,

καὶ ὑπερεῖχον τὰ ἡγιασμένα · καὶ ἐνεβλέποντο αἱ κεφαλαὶ τῶν ἡγιασμένων ἐκ τῶν ἁγίων εἰς πρόσωπον τοῦ δαβείρ, καὶ οὐκ ὠπτάνοντο ἔξω.

οὐκ ἦν ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ πλὴν δύο πλάκες λίθιναι, πλάκες τῆς διαθήκης ἃ ἔθηκεν Μωυσῆς ἐν Χωρήβ, ἃ διέθετο Κύριος μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαι αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου.

et ait Dóminus ad David patrem meum: Quod cogitásti in corde tuo ædificáre domum nómini meo, bene fecísti, hoc ipsum mente tractans.
