וַיֹּ֤אמֶר דָּוִד֙ אֶל לִבּ֔־וֹ עַתָּ֛ה אֶסָּפֶ֥ה יוֹם־אֶחָ֖ד בְּיַד־שָׁא֑וּל אֵֽין לִ֨־י ט֜וֹב כִּ֣י הִמָּלֵ֥ט אִמָּלֵ֣ט ׀ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֗ים וְנוֹאַ֨שׁ מִמֶּ֤נִּי שָׁאוּל֙ לְבַקְשֵׁ֤נִי עוֹד֙ בְּכָל־גְּב֣וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְנִמְלַטְתִּ֖י מִיָּדֽוֹ׃

Καὶ εἶπεν Δαυεὶδ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ λέγων Νῦν προστεθήσομαι ἐν ἡμέρᾳ μιᾷ εἰς χεῖρας Σαούλ, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν μοι ἀγαθὸν ἐὰν μὴ σωθῶ εἰς γῆν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἀνῇ Σαοὺλ τοῦ ζητεῖν με εἰς πᾶν ὅριον Ἰσραήλ, καὶ σωθήσομαι ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτοῦ.

Et ait David in corde suo: Aliquándo íncidam una die in manus Saul: nonne mélius est ut fúgiam, et salver in terra Philisthinórum, ut despéret Saul, cessétque me quǽrere in cunctis fínibus Israel? fúgiam ergo manus eius.

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: [there is] nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

καὶ εἶπεν Ἀγχοὺς πρὸς Δαυείδ Ἐπὶ τίνα ἐπέθεσθε σήμερον? καὶ εἶπεν Δαυεὶδ πρὸς Ἀγχούς Κατὰ νότον τῆς Ἰουδαίας καὶ κατὰ νότον Ἰεσμεγὰ καὶ κατὰ νότον τοῦ Κενεζεί.
