וַיְהִי֩ לִתְשׁוּבַ֨ת הַשָּׁנָ֜ה לְעֵ֣ת ׀ צֵ֣את הַמַּלְאֿכִ֗ים וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח דָּוִ֡ד אֶת־יוֹאָב֩ וְאֶת עֲבָדָ֨י־ו עִמּ֜וֹ וְאֶת־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וַיַּשְׁחִ֨תוּ֙ אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן וַיָּצֻ֖רוּ עַל־רַבָּ֑ה וְדָוִ֖ד יוֹשֵׁ֥ב בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ ס

Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπιστρέψαντος τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ εἰς τὸν καιρὸν τῆς ἐξοδίας τῶν βασιλέων καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Δαυεὶδ τὸν Ἰωὰβ καὶ τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸν πάντα Ἰσραήλ, καὶ διέφθειραν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἀμμών · καὶ διεκάθισαν ἐπὶ Ῥαββάθ, καὶ Δαυεὶδ ἐκάθισεν ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ.

Factum est autem, verténte anno, eo témpore quo solent reges ad bella procédere, misit David Ioab, et servos suos cum eo, et univérsum Israel, et vastavérunt fílios Ammon, et obsedérunt Rabba: David autem remánsit in Ierúsalem.

And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth [to battle], that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.

Καὶ ἐγένετο πρὸς ἑσπέραν καὶ ἀνέστη Δαυεὶδ ἀπὸ τῆς κοίτης αὐτοῦ καὶ περιεπάτει ἐπὶ τοῦ δώματος τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως, καὶ εἶδεν γυναῖκα λουομένην ἀπὸ τοῦ δώματος, καὶ ἡ γυνὴ καλὴ τῷ εἴδει σφόδρα.
