וַיָּב֤וֹא אֵלַי֙ אֲנָשִׁ֔ים מִזִּקְנֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ לְפָנָֽי׃ פ

Καὶ ἦλθον πρὸς μὲ ἐκ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων ἄνδρες τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐκάθισαν πρὸ προσώπου μου.

בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָאֵ֨לֶּה֙ הֶעֱל֤וּ גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙ עַל לִבָּ֔־ם וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל עֲוֺנָ֔ם נָתְנ֖וּ נֹ֣כַח פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם הַאִדָּרֹ֥שׁ אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ לָהֶֽם׃ ס

Υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, οἱ ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἔθεντο τὰ διανοήματα αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰς καρδίας αὐτῶν, καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῶν ἀδικιῶν αὐτῶν ἔθηκαν πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν · εἰ ἀποκρινόμενος ἀποκριθῶ αὐτοῖς?

Fili hóminis, viri isti posuérunt immundítias suas in córdibus suis, et scándalum iniquitátis suæ statuérunt contra fáciem suam: numquid interrogátus respondébo eis?

לָכֵ֣ן דַּבֵּר א֠וֹתָ־ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה אִ֣ישׁ אִ֣ישׁ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל אֲשֶׁר֩ יַעֲלֶ֨ה אֶת גִּלּוּלָ֜י־ו אֶל לִבּ֗־וֹ וּמִכְשׁ֤וֹל עֲוֺנוֹ֙ יָשִׂים֙ נֹ֣כַח פָּנָ֔יו וּבָ֖א אֶל הַ־נָּבִ֑יא אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֗ה נַעֲנֵ֧יתִי ל֦וֹ בה בְּרֹ֥ב גִּלּוּלָֽיו׃

διὰ τοῦτο λάλησον αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου Ἰσραὴλ ὃς ἂν θῇ τὰ διανοήματα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ τάξῃ πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔλθῃ πρὸς τὸν προφήτην, ἐγὼ Κύριος ἀποκριθήσομαι αὐτῷ ἐν οἷς ἐνέχεται διάνοια αὐτοῦ,

Propter hoc lóquere eis, et dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dóminus Deus: Homo homo de domo Israel, qui posúerit immundítias suas in corde suo, et scándalum iniquitátis suæ statúerit contra fáciem suam, et vénerit ad prophétam intérrogans per eum me: ego Dóminus respondébo ei in multitúdine immunditiárum suárum:

Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;

לְמַ֛עַן תְּפֹ֥שׂ אֶת־בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּלִבָּ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָזֹ֨רוּ֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֖ם כֻּלָּֽם׃ ס

ὅπως πλαγιάσῃ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ κατὰ τὰς καρδίας αὐτῶν τὰς ἀπηλλοτριωμένας ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐν τοῖς ἐνθυμήμασιν αὐτῶν.

לָכֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֣ר ׀ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה שׁ֣וּבוּ וְהָשִׁ֔יבוּ מֵעַ֖ל גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶ֑ם וּמֵעַ֥ל כָּל תּוֹעֲבֹתֵי־כֶ֖ם הָשִׁ֥יבוּ פְנֵיכֶֽם׃

διὰ τοῦτο εἰπὸν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ἰσραήλ Τάδε λέγει κύριος Κύριος Ἐπιστράφητε καὶ ἀποστρέψατε ἀπὸ τῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἀσεβειῶν ὑμῶν, καὶ ἐπιστρέψατε τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν.

διότι ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐκ τῶν προσηλύτων τῶν προσηλυτευόντων ἐν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ ὃς ἂν ἀπαλλοτριωθῇ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ, καὶ θῆται τὰ ἐνθυμήματα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ τάξῃ πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔλθῃ πρὸς τὸν προφήτην τοῦ ἐπερωτῆσαι αὐτὸν ἐν ἐμοί, ἐγὼ Κύριος ἀποκριθήσομαι αὐτῷ ἐν ἐνέχεται ἐν αὐτῷ.

Quia homo homo de domo Israel, et de prosélytis quicúmque ádvena fúerit in Israel, si alienátus fúerit a me, et posúerit idóla sua in corde suo, et scándalum iniquitátis suæ statúerit contra fáciem suam, et vénerit ad prophétam ut intérroget per eum me: ego Dóminus respondébo ei per me

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

וְנָתַתִּ֨י פָנַ֜י בָּאִ֣ישׁ הַה֗וּא וַהֲשִֽׂמֹתִ֨יהוּ֙ לְא֣וֹת וְלִמְשָׁלִ֔ים וְהִכְרַתִּ֖יו מִתּ֣וֹךְ עַמִּ֑י וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס

καὶ στηριῶ τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπὶ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐκεῖνον, καὶ θήσομαι αὐτὸν εἰς ἔρημον καὶ εἰς ἀφανισμόν, καὶ ἐξαρῶ αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ λαοῦ μου · καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγὼ Κύριος.

Et ponam fáciem meam super hóminem illum, et fáciam eum in exémplum et in provérbium, et dispérdam eum de médio pópuli mei: et sciétis quia ego Dóminus.

וְהַנָּבִ֤יא כִֽי־יְפֻתֶּה֙ וְדִבֶּ֣ר דָּבָ֔ר אֲנִ֤י יְהוָה֙ פִּתֵּ֔יתִי אֵ֖ת הַנָּבִ֣יא הַה֑וּא וְנָטִ֤יתִי אֶת יָדִ־י֙ עָלָ֔יו וְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔יו מִתּ֖וֹךְ עַמִּ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

καὶ προφήτης ἐὰν πλανήσῃ καὶ λαλήσῃ, ἐγὼ Κύριος πεπλάνηκα τὸν προφήτην ἐκεῖνον, καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ ἀφανιῶ αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ λαοῦ μου Ἰσραήλ.

Et prophéta cum erráverit, et locútus fúerit verbum: ego Dóminus decépi prophétam illum: et exténdam manum meam super illum, et delébo eum de médio pópuli mei Israel.

And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

וְנָשְׂא֖וּ עֲוֺנָ֑ם כַּֽעֲוֺן֙ הַדֹּרֵ֔שׁ כַּעֲוֺ֥ן הַנָּבִ֖יא יִֽהְיֶֽה׃

καὶ λήμψονται τὴν ἀδικίαν αὐτῶν · κατὰ τὸ ἀδίκημα τοῦ ἐπερωτῶντος, καὶ κατὰ τὸ ἀδίκημα ὁμοίως τῷ προφήτῃ ἔσται,

Et portábunt iniquitátem suam: iuxta iniquitátem interrogántis, sic iníquitas prophétæ erit:

And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh [unto him];

לְ֠מַעַן לֹֽא־יִתְע֨וּ ע֤וֹד בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאַֽחֲרַ֔י וְלֹֽא־יִטַּמְּא֥וּ ע֖וֹד בְּכָל פִּשְׁעֵי־הֶ֑ם וְהָ֥יוּ לִ֣י לְעָ֗ם וַֽאֲנִי֙ אֶהְיֶ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ פ

ὅπως μὴ πλανᾶται ἔτι οἶκος τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ἵνα μὴ μιαίνωνται ἔτι ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς παραπτώμασιν αὐτῶν · καὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαὸν καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεόν, λέγει Κύριος.

בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם אֶ֚רֶץ כִּ֤י תֶחֱטָא לִ־י֙ לִמְעָל־מַ֔עַל וְנָטִ֤יתִי יָדִי֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ וְשָׁבַ֥רְתִּי לָ֖הּ מַטֵּה־לָ֑חֶם וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי בָ֣־הּ רָעָ֔ב וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃

Υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, γῆ ἂν ἁμάρτῃ μοι τοῦ παραπεσεῖν παράπτωμα, καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν καὶ συντρίψω αὐτῆς στήριγμα ἄρτου, καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν λιμὸν καὶ ἐξαρῶ ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτήνη.

וְ֠הָיוּ שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָאֵ֨לֶּה֙ בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ נֹ֖חַ דנאל וְאִיּ֑וֹב הֵ֤מָּה בְצִדְקָתָם֙ יְנַצְּל֣וּ נַפְשָׁ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

καὶ ἐὰν ὦσιν οἱ τρεῖς ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς, Νῶε καὶ Δανιὴλ καὶ Ἰώβ, αὐτοὶ ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ αὐτῶν σωθήσονται, λέγει Κύριος.

Et si fúerint tres viri isti in médio eius, Noe, Dániel, et Iob: ipsi iustítia sua liberábunt ánimas suas, ait Dóminus exercítuum.

לֽוּ־חַיָּ֥ה רָעָ֛ה אַעֲבִ֥יר בָּאָ֖רֶץ וְשִׁכְּלָ֑תָּה וְהָיְתָ֤ה שְׁמָמָה֙ מִבְּלִ֣י עוֹבֵ֔ר מִפְּנֵ֖י הַחַיָּֽה׃

ἐὰν καὶ θηρία πονηρὰ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τιμωρήσομαι αὐτήν, καὶ ἔσται εἰς ἀφανισμόν, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται διοδεύων ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν θηρίων,

Quod si et béstias péssimas indúxero super terram ut vastem eam, et fúerit ínvia, eo quod non sit pertránsiens propter béstias:

If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:

שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָאֵלֶּה֮ בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אִם־בָּנִ֥ים וְאִם־בָּנ֖וֹת יַצִּ֑ילוּ הֵ֤מָּה לְבַדָּם֙ יִנָּצֵ֔לוּ וְהָאָ֖רֶץ תִּהְיֶ֥ה שְׁמָמָֽה׃

καὶ οἱ τρεῖς ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ὦσι, ζῶ ἐγώ, λέγει Κύριος, εἰ υἱοὶ θυγατέρες σωθήσονται, ἀλλ᾽ αὐτοὶ μόνοι σωθήσονται, δὲ γῆ ἔσται εἰς ὄλεθρον.

א֛וֹ חֶ֥רֶב אָבִ֖יא עַל הָ־אָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֑יא וְאָמַרְתִּ֗י חֶ֚רֶב תַּעֲבֹ֣ר בָּאָ֔רֶץ וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃

καὶ ῥομφαίαν ἐὰν ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην καὶ εἴπω Ῥομφαία διελθάτω διὰ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐξαρῶ ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος,

Vel si gládium indúxero super terram illam, et díxero gládio: Transi per terram: et interfécero de ea hóminem, et iuméntum:

וּשְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָאֵלֶּה֮ בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה לֹ֥א יַצִּ֖ילוּ בָּנִ֣ים וּבָנ֑וֹת כִּ֛י הֵ֥ם לְבַדָּ֖ם יִנָּצֵֽלוּ׃

καὶ οἱ τρεῖς οὗτοι ἄνδρες ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς, ζῶ ἐγώ, λέγει Κύριος, οὐ μὴ ῥύσωνται υἱοὺς οὐδὲ θυγατέρας, αὐτοὶ μόνοι σωθήσονται.

א֛וֹ דֶּ֥בֶר אֲשַׁלַּ֖ח אֶל הָ־אָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֑יא וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֨י חֲמָתִ֤י עָלֶ֨יהָ֙ בְּדָ֔ם לְהַכְרִ֥ית מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃

καὶ θάνατον ἐπαποστείλω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην, καὶ ἐκχεῶ τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ἐν αἵματι τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος,

Si autem et pestiléntiam immísero super terram illam, et effúdero indignatiónem meam super eam in sánguine, ut áuferam ex ea hóminem et iuméntum:

וְנֹ֨חַ דנאל וְאִיּוֹב֮ בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אִם־בֵּ֥ן אִם־בַּ֖ת יַצִּ֑ילוּ הֵ֥מָּה בְצִדְקָתָ֖ם יַצִּ֥ילוּ נַפְשָֽׁם׃ פ

καὶ Νῶε καὶ Δανιὴλ καὶ Ἰὼβ ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς, ζῶ ἐγώ, λέγει Κύριος, ἐὰν υἱοὶ θυγατέρες ὑπολειφθῶσιν, αὐτοὶ ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ αὐτῶν ῥύσονται τὰς ψυχὰς αὐτῶν.

καὶ ἰδοὺ ὑπολελιμμένοι ἐν αὐτῇ οἱ ἀνασεσωσμένοι αὐτῆς, οἳ ἐξάγουσιν ἐξ αὐτῆς υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας, ἰδοὺ ἐκπορεύονται πρὸς ὑμᾶς, καὶ ὄψεσθε τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῶν

Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, [both] sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, [even] concerning all that I have brought upon it.
