וַיִּצָּעֵק֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶפְרַ֔יִם וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֖ר צָפ֑וֹנָה וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ לְיִפְתָּ֜ח מַדּ֣וּעַ ׀ עָבַ֣רְתָּ ׀ לְהִלָּחֵ֣ם בִּבְנֵי־עַמּ֗וֹן וְלָ֨נוּ֙ לֹ֤א קָרָ֨אתָ֙ לָלֶ֣כֶת עִמָּ֔ךְ בֵּיתְךָ֕ נִשְׂרֹ֥ף עָלֶ֖יךָ בָּאֵֽשׁ׃

Καὶ ἐβόησεν ἀνὴρ Ἐφράιμ, καὶ παρῆλθαν εἰς βορρᾶν καὶ εἶπαν πρὸς Ἰεφθάε Διὰ τί παρῆλθες παρατάξασθαι ἐν υἱοῖς Ἀμμὼν καὶ ἡμᾶς οὐ κέκληκας πορευθῆναι μετὰ σοῦ; τὸν οἶκόν σου ἐμπρήσομεν ἐπὶ σὲ ἐν πυρί.

Ecce autem in Ephraim orta est sedítio: nam transeúntes contra aquilónem, dixérunt ad Iephte: Quare vadens ad pugnam contra fílios Ammon, vocáre nos noluísti, ut pergerémus tecum? ígitur incendémus domum tuam.
