וַיְהִ֣י כַאֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁמַ֣ע סַנְבַלַּ֡ט וְ֠טוֹבִיָּה וְהָעַרְבִ֨ים וְהָעַמֹּנִ֜ים וְהָאַשְׁדּוֹדִ֗ים כִּֽי־עָלְתָ֤ה אֲרוּכָה֙ לְחֹמ֣וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם כִּי־הֵחֵ֥לּוּ הַפְּרֻצִ֖ים לְהִסָּתֵ֑ם וַיִּ֥חַר לָהֶ֖ם מְאֹֽד׃

Καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἤκουσεν Ἀναβαλλὰτ ὅτι ἡμεῖς οἰκοδομοῦμεν τὸ τεῖχος, καὶ πονηρὸν αὐτῷ ἐφάνη, καὶ ὠργίσθη ἐπὶ πολύ, καὶ ἐξεγέλα ἐπὶ τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις.

Factum est autem, cum audísset Sanabállat, et Tobías, et Arabes, et Ammanítæ, et Azótii, quod obdúcta esset cicátrix muri Ierúsalem, et quod cœpíssent interrúpta conclúdi, iráti sunt nimis.

καὶ εἶπεν ἐνώπιον τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ Αὕτη δύναμις Σομορών, ὅτι οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι οὗτοι οἰκοδομοῦσιν τὴν ἑαυτῶν πόλιν;

καὶ ἐπίστρεψον ὀνειδισμὸν αὐτῶν εἰς κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, καὶ δὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς μυκτηρισμὸν ἐν γῇ αἰχμαλωσίας,

וָֽאַעֲמִ֞יד מִֽתַּחְתִּיּ֧וֹת לַמָּק֛וֹם מֵאַחֲרֵ֥י לַחוֹמָ֖ה בצחחיים וָֽאַעֲמִ֤יד אֶת הָ־עָם֙ לְמִשְׁפָּח֔וֹת עִם חַרְבֹתֵי־הֶ֛ם רָמְחֵיהֶ֖ם וְקַשְּׁתֹתֵיהֶֽם׃

Καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν Σαναβαλλὰτ καὶ Τωβιὰ καὶ οἱ Ἄραβες καὶ οἱ Ἀμμανεῖται ὅτι ἀνέβη φυὴ τοῖς τείχεσιν Ἰερουσαλήμ, ὅτι ἤρξαντο αἱ διασφαγαὶ ἀναφράσσεσθαι, καὶ πονηρὸν αὐτοῖς ἐφάνη σφόδρα.

וַיְהִ֞י כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־שָׁמְע֤וּ אוֹיְבֵ֨ינוּ֙ כִּי־נ֣וֹדַֽע לָ֔נוּ וַיָּ֥פֶר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת עֲצָתָ֑־ם ונשוב כֻּלָּ֨נוּ֙ אֶל הַ֣־חוֹמָ֔ה אִ֖ישׁ אֶל מְלַאכְתּֽ־וֹ׃

καὶ προσηυξάμεθα πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἡμῶν, καὶ ἐστήσαμεν προφύλακας ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν.

וַיְהִ֣י ׀ מִן הַ־יּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא חֲצִ֣י נְעָרַי֮ עֹשִׂ֣ים בַּמְּלָאכָה֒ וְחֶצְיָ֗ם מַחֲזִיקִים֙ וְהָרְמָחִ֣ים הַמָּגִנִּ֔ים וְהַקְּשָׁת֖וֹת וְהַשִּׁרְיֹנִ֑ים וְהַ֨שָּׂרִ֔ים אַחֲרֵ֖י כָּל־בֵּ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה׃

καὶ εἶπεν Ἰούδας Συνετρίβη ἰσχὺς τῶν ἐχθρῶν, καὶ ὄχλος πολύς, καὶ ἡμεῖς οὐ δυνησόμεθα οἰκοδομεῖν ἐν τῷ τείχει.

הַבּוֹנִ֧ים בַּחוֹמָ֛ה וְהַנֹּשְׂאִ֥ים בַּסֶּ֖בֶל עֹמְשִׂ֑ים בְּאַחַ֤ת יָדוֹ֙ עֹשֶׂ֣ה בַמְּלָאכָ֔ה וְאַחַ֖ת מַחֲזֶ֥קֶת הַשָּֽׁלַח׃

καὶ εἶπαν οἱ θλίβοντες ἡμᾶς Οὐ γνώσονται καὶ οὐκ ὄψονται ἕως ὅτου ἔλθωμεν εἰς μέσον αὐτῶν καὶ φονεύσωμεν αὐτοὺς καὶ καταπαύσωμεν τὸ ἔργον.

בִּמְק֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר תִּשְׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־ק֣וֹל הַשּׁוֹפָ֔ר שָׁ֖מָּה תִּקָּבְצ֣וּ אֵלֵ֑ינוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ יִלָּ֥חֶם לָֽנוּ׃

וַאֲנַ֖חְנוּ עֹשִׂ֣ים בַּמְּלָאכָ֑ה וְחֶצְיָ֗ם מַחֲזִיקִים֙ בָּֽרְמָחִ֔ים מֵעֲל֣וֹת הַשַּׁ֔חַר עַ֖ד צֵ֥את הַכּוֹכָבִֽים׃

καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἤκουσαν οἱ ἐχθροὶ ἡμῶν ὅτι ἐγνώσθη ἡμῖν, καὶ διεσκέδασεν θεὸς τὴν βουλὴν αὐτῶν · καὶ ἐπεστρέψαμεν πάντες ἡμεῖς εἰς τὸ τεῖχος, ἀνὴρ εἰς τὸ ἔργον αὐτοῦ.
