וַיְהִ֕י כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יָשַׁ֥ב דָּוִ֖יד בְּבֵית֑וֹ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר דָּוִ֜יד אֶל־נָתָ֣ן הַנָּבִ֗יא הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֤י יוֹשֵׁב֙ בְּבֵ֣ית הָֽאֲרָזִ֔ים וַאֲר֥וֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָ֖ה תַּ֥חַת יְרִיעֽוֹת׃

Καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς κατῴκησεν Δαυεὶδ ἐν οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἶπεν Δαυεὶδ πρὸς Ναθὰν τὸν προφήτην Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κατοικῶ ἐν οἴκῳ κεδρίνῳ, καὶ κιβωτὸς διαθήκης Κυρίου ὑποκάτω δέρρεων.

Cum autem habitáret David in domo sua, dixit ad Nathan prophétam: Ecce ego hábito in domo cédrina: arca autem fœ́deris Dómini sub péllibus est.

Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD [remaineth] under curtains.

καὶ εἶπεν Ναθὰν πρὸς Δαυείδ Πᾶν τὸ ἐν ψυχῇ σου ποίει, ὅτι θεὸς μετὰ σοῦ.

Et ait Nathan ad David: Omnia, quæ in corde tuo sunt, fac: Deus enim tecum est.

לֵ֤ךְ וְאָמַרְתָּ֙ אֶל־דָּוִ֣יד עַבְדִּ֔י כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה לֹ֥א אַתָּ֛ה תִּבְנֶה לִּ֥־י הַבַּ֖יִת לָשָֽׁבֶת׃

Πορεύου καὶ εἰπὸν πρὸς Δαυεὶδ τὸν δοῦλόν μου Οὕτως εἶπεν Κύριος Οὐ σὺ οἰκοδομήσεις οἶκον τοῦ κατοικῆσαί με ἐν αὐτῷ.

Vade, et lóquere David servo meo: Hæc dicit Dóminus: Non ædificábis tu mihi domum ad habitándum.

כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָשַׁ֨בְתִּי֙ בְּבַ֔יִת מִן הַ־יּ֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר הֶעֱלֵ֨יתִי֙ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וָֽאֶהְיֶ֛ה מֵאֹ֥הֶל אֶל־אֹ֖הֶל וּמִמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃

ὅτι οὐ κατῴκησα ἐν οἴκῳ ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ἧς ἀνήγαγον τὸν Ἰσραὴλ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης, καὶ ἤμην ἐν σκηνῇ καὶ ἐν καλύμματι.

Neque enim mansi in domo ex eo témpore, quo edúxi Israel usque ad diem hanc: sed fui semper mutans loca tabernáculi, et in tentório

בְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶֽׁר־הִתְהַלַּכְתִּי֮ בְּכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ הֲדָבָ֣ר דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי אֶת־אַחַד֙ שֹׁפְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּ֛יתִי לִרְע֥וֹת אֶת עַמִּ֖־י לֵאמֹ֑ר לָ֛מָּה לֹא־בְנִיתֶ֥ם לִ֖י בֵּ֥ית אֲרָזִֽים׃

ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς διῆλθον ἐν παντὶ Ἰσραήλ · εἰ λαλῶν ἐλάλησα πρὸς μίαν φυλὴν τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ ποιμαίνειν τὸν λαόν μου λέγων Ὅτι οὐκ ᾠκοδομήκατέ μοι οἶκον κέδρινον;

וְ֠עַתָּה כֹּֽה־תֹאמַ֞ר לְעַבְדִּ֣י לְדָוִ֗יד כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת אֲנִ֤י לְקַחְתִּ֨יךָ֙ מִן הַ־נָּוֶ֔ה מִֽן־אַחֲרֵ֖י הַצֹּ֑אן לִהְי֣וֹת נָגִ֔יד עַ֖ל עַמִּ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס

καὶ νῦν οὕτως ἐρεῖς τῷ δούλῳ μου Δαυεὶδ Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Ἔλαβόν σε ἐκ τῆς μάνδρας ἐξόπισθεν τῶν ποιμνίων τοῦ εἶναι εἰς ἡγούμενον ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ἰσραήλ,

Nunc ítaque sic loquéris ad servum meum David: Hæc dicit Dóminus exercítuum: Ego tuli te, cum in páscuis sequeréris gregem, ut esses dux pópuli mei Israel.

וָֽאֶהְיֶ֣ה עִמְּךָ֗ בְּכֹל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָלַ֔כְתָּ וָאַכְרִ֥ית אֶת־כָּל אוֹיְבֶ֖י־ךָ מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ וְעָשִׂ֤יתִֽי לְךָ֙ שֵׁ֔ם כְּשֵׁ֥ם הַגְּדוֹלִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

καὶ ἤμην μετὰ σοῦ ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς ἐπορεύθης, καὶ ἐξωλέθρευσα πάντας τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ἀπὸ προσώπου σου, καὶ ἐποίησά σοι ὄνομα κατὰ τὸ ὄνομα τῶν μεγάλων τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.

Et fui tecum quocúmque perrexísti, et interféci omnes inimícos tuos coram te, fecíque tibi nomen quasi uníus magnórum, qui celebrántur in terra.

And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that [are] in the earth.

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י מָ֠קוֹם לְעַמִּ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל וּנְטַעְתִּ֨יהוּ֙ וְשָׁכַ֣ן תַּחְתָּ֔יו וְלֹ֥א יִרְגַּ֖ז ע֑וֹד וְלֹא־יוֹסִ֤יפוּ בְנֵי־עַוְלָה֙ לְבַלֹּת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר בָּרִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃

καὶ θήσομαι τόπον τῷ λαῷ μου Ἰσραὴλ καὶ καταφυτεύσω αὐτόν, καὶ κατασκηνώσει καθ᾽ ἑαυτὸν καὶ οὐ μεριμνήσει ἔτι, καὶ οὐ προσθήσει ἀδικία τοῦ ταπεινῶσαι αὐτὸν καθὼς ἀρχῆς.

Et dedi locum pópulo meo Israel: plantábitur, et habitábit in eo, et ultra non commovébitur: nec fílii iniquitátis átterent eos, sicut a princípio,

Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,

וּלְמִיָּמִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוִּ֤יתִי שֹֽׁפְטִים֙ עַל עַמִּ֣־י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהִכְנַ֖עְתִּי אֶת־כָּל אוֹיְבֶ֑י־ךָ וָאַגִּ֣ד לָ֔ךְ וּבַ֖יִת יִֽבְנֶה לְּ־ךָ֥ יְהוָֽה׃

καὶ ἀφ᾽ ἡμερῶν ὧν ἔταξα κριτὰς ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐταπείνωσα ἅπαντας τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου, καὶ αὐξήσω σε · καὶ οἰκοδομήσει σε Κύριος.

וְהָיָ֗ה כִּֽי־מָלְא֤וּ יָמֶ֨יךָ֙ לָלֶ֣כֶת עִם אֲבֹתֶ֔י־ךָ וַהֲקִֽימוֹתִ֤י אֶֽת זַרְעֲ־ךָ֙ אַחֲרֶ֔יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִהְיֶ֖ה מִבָּנֶ֑יךָ וַהֲכִינוֹתִ֖י אֶת מַלְכוּתֽ־וֹ׃

καὶ ἔσται ὅταν πληρωθῶσιν ἡμέραι σου καὶ κοιμηθήσῃ μετὰ τῶν πατέρων σου, ἀναστήσω τὸ σπέρμα σου μετὰ σέ, ἔσται ἐκ τῆς κοιλίας σου, καὶ ἑτοιμάσω τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ ·

Cumque impléveris dies tuos ut vadas ad patres tuos, suscitábo semen tuum post te, quod erit de fíliis tuis: et stabíliam regnum eius.

αὐτὸς οἰκοδομήσει μοι οἶκον, καὶ ἀνορθώσω τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος.

אֲנִי֙ אֶֽהְיֶה לּ֣־וֹ לְאָ֔ב וְה֖וּא יִֽהְיֶה לִּ֣־י לְבֵ֑ן וְחַסְדִּי֙ לֹא־אָסִ֣יר מֵֽעִמּ֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר הֲסִיר֔וֹתִי מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיָ֖ה לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃

ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτῷ εἰς πατέρα καὶ αὐτὸς ἔσται μοι εἰς υἱόν, καὶ τὸ ἔλεός μου οὐκ ἀποστήσω ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ὡς ἀπέστησα ἀπὸ τῶν ὄντων ἔμπροσθέν σου.

καὶ πιστώσω αὐτὸν ἐν οἴκῳ μου καὶ ἐν βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος, καὶ θρόνος αὐτοῦ ἔσται ἀνωρθωμένος ἕως αἰῶνος.

Et státuam eum in domo mea, et in regno meo usque in sempitérnum: et thronus eius erit firmíssimus in perpétuum.

וַיָּבֹא֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ דָּוִ֔יד וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מִֽי־אֲנִ֞י יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ וּמִ֣י בֵיתִ֔י כִּ֥י הֲבִיאֹתַ֖נִי עַד־הֲלֹֽם׃

Καὶ ἦλθεν βασιλεὺς Δαυεὶδ καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἀπέναντι Κυρίου, καὶ εἶπεν Τίς εἰμι ἐγώ, Κύριε θεός, καὶ τίς οἶκός μου, ὅτι ἠγάπησάς με ἕως αἰῶνος;

Cumque venísset rex David, et sedísset coram Dómino, dixit: Quis ego sum Dómine Deus, et quæ domus mea, ut præstáres mihi tália?

וַתִּקְטַ֨ן זֹ֤את בְּעֵינֶ֨יךָ֙ אֱלֹהִ֔ים וַתְּדַבֵּ֥ר עַל־בֵּֽית עַבְדְּ־ךָ֖ לְמֵרָח֑וֹק וּרְאִיתַ֗נִי כְּת֧וֹר הָאָדָ֛ם הַֽמַּעֲלָ֖ה יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃

καὶ ἐσμικρύνθη ταῦτα ἐνώπιόν σου θεός, καὶ ἐλάλησας ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ παιδός σου ἐκ μακρῶν, καὶ ἐπεῖδές με ὡς ὅρασις ἀνθρώπου καὶ ὕψωσάς με, Κύριε θεός.

Sed et hoc parum visum est in conspéctu tuo, ideóque locútus es super domum servi tui étiam in futúrum: et fecísti me spectábilem super omnes hómines Dómine Deus.

מַה־יּוֹסִ֨יף ע֥וֹד דָּוִ֛יד אֵלֶ֖יךָ לְכָב֣וֹד אֶת עַבְדֶּ֑־ךָ וְאַתָּ֖ה אֶֽת עַבְדְּ־ךָ֥ יָדָֽעְתָּ׃

τί προσθήσει ἔτι Δαυεὶδ πρὸς σὲ τοῦ δοξάσαι; καὶ σὺ τὸν δοῦλόν σου οἶδας,

Quid ultra áddere potest David, cum ita glorificáveris servum tuum, et cognóveris eum?

יְהוָ֕ה בַּעֲב֤וּר עַבְדְּךָ֙ וּֽכְלִבְּךָ֔ עָשִׂ֕יתָ אֵ֥ת כָּל הַ־גְּדוּלָּ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את לְהֹדִ֖יעַ אֶת־כָּל הַ־גְּדֻלּֽוֹת׃

καὶ κατὰ τὴν καρδίαν σου ἐποίησας τὴν πᾶσαν μεγαλωσύνην.

Κύριε, οὐκ ἔστιν ὅμοιός σοι, οὐκ ἔστιν πλὴν σοῦ κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἠκούσαμεν ἐν ὠσὶν ἡμῶν.

Dómine non est símilis tui, et non est álius Deus absque te, ex ómnibus, quos audívimus áuribus nostris.

וּמִי֙ כְּעַמְּךָ֣ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל גּ֥וֹי אֶחָ֖ד בָּאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֩ הָלַ֨ךְ הָאֱלֹהִ֜ים לִפְדּ֧וֹת ל֣וֹ עָ֗ם לָשׂ֤וּם לְךָ֙ שֵׁ֚ם גְּדֻלּ֣וֹת וְנֹרָא֔וֹת לְגָרֵ֗שׁ מִפְּנֵ֧י עַמְּךָ֛ אֲשֶׁר־פָּדִ֥יתָ מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם גּוֹיִֽם׃

καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὡς λαός σου Ἰσραὴλ ἔθνος ἔτι ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὡς ὡδήγησεν αὐτὸν θεὸς τοῦ λυτρώσασθαι ἑαυτῷ λαόν, τοῦ θέσθαι αὐτῷ ὄνομα μέγα καὶ ἐπιφανές, τοῦ ἐκβαλεῖν ἀπὸ προσώπου λαοῦ σου οὓς ἐλυτρώσω ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἔθνη.

Quis enim est álius, ut pópulus tuus Israel, gens una in terra, ad quam perréxit Deus, ut liberáret, et fáceret pópulum sibi, et magnitúdine sua atque terróribus eíceret natiónes a fácie eius, quem de Ægýpto liberárat?

And what one nation in the earth [is] like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem [to be] his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?

וַ֠תִּתֵּן אֶת עַמְּ־ךָ֨ יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל ׀ לְךָ֛ לְעָ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם וְאַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה הָיִ֥יתָ לָהֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃

καὶ ἔδωκας τὸν λαόν σου Ἰσραὴλ σεαυτῷ λαὸν ἕως αἰῶνος, σὺ Κύριος αὐτοῖς εἰς θεόν.

καὶ νῦν, Κύριε, λόγος σου ὃν ἐλάλησας πρὸς τὸν παῖδά σου καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ πιστωθήτω ἕως αἰῶνος,
