וּשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה הָיָ֤ה מוֹשֵׁל֙ בְּכָל הַ־מַּמְלָכ֔וֹת מִן הַ־נָּהָר֙ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְעַ֖ד גְּב֣וּל מִצְרָ֑יִם מַגִּשִׁ֥ים מִנְחָ֛ה וְעֹבְדִ֥ים אֶת־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה כָּל־יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽיו׃ פ

Καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Χειρὰμ βασιλεὺς Τύρου τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ χρίσαι τὸν Σαλωμὼν ἀντὶ Δαυεὶδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἀγαπῶν ἦν Χειρὰμ τὸν Δαυεὶδ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας.

Σὺ οἶδας Δαυεὶδ τὸν πατέρα μου ὅτι οὐκ ἐδύνατο οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου θεοῦ μου ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν πολέμων τῶν κυκλωσάντων αὐτόν, ἕως τοῦ δοῦναι αὐτοὺς ὑπὸ τὰ ἴχνη τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ.

Tu scis voluntátem David patris mei, et quia non potúerit ædificáre domum nómini Dómini Dei sui propter bella imminéntia per circúitum, donec daret Dóminus eos sub vestígio pedum eius.
