וַיַּגִּ֥דוּ לְדָוִ֖ד לֵאמֹ֑ר הִנֵּ֤ה פְלִשְׁתִּים֙ נִלְחָמִ֣ים בִּקְעִילָ֔ה וְהֵ֖מָּה שֹׁסִ֥ים אֶת הַ־גֳּרָנֽוֹת׃

Καὶ ἀπηγγέλη τῷ Δαυεὶδ λέγοντες Ἰδοὺ οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι πολεμοῦσιν ἐν τῇ Κεειλά, καὶ αὐτοὶ διαρπάζουσιν · καταπατοῦσιν τοὺς ἅλως.

καὶ εἶπαν οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ Δαυεὶδ πρὸς αὐτόν Ἰδοὺ ἡμεῖς ἐνταῦθα ἐν τῇ Ἰουδαίᾳ φοβούμεθα, καὶ πῶς ἔσται ἐὰν πορευθῶμεν εἰς Κεειλά? εἰς τὰ σκῦλα τῶν ἀλλοφύλων εἰσπορευσόμεθα?

Et dixérunt viri, qui erant cum David, ad eum: Ecce nos hic in Iudǽa consisténtes timémus: quanto magis si iérimus in Céilam advérsum ágmina Philisthinórum?

καὶ ἐπορεύθη Δαυεὶδ καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰς Κεειλὰ καὶ ἐπολέμησεν ἐν τοῖς ἀλλοφύλοις · καὶ ἔφυγον ἐκ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀπήγαγεν τὰ κτήνη αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐπάταξεν ἐν αὐτοῖς πληγὴν μεγάλην · καὶ ἔσωσεν Δαυεὶδ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Κεειλά.
