וַיְהִ֣י אַֽחֲרֵי כֵ֡ן בָּ֣אוּ בְנֵי־מוֹאָב֩ וּבְנֵ֨י עַמּ֜וֹן וְעִמָּהֶ֧ם ׀ מֵֽהָעַמּוֹנִ֛ים עַל־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

Καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἦλθον οἱ υἱοὶ Μωὰβ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἀμμὼν καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ἐκ τῶν Μειναίων πρὸς Ἰωσαφὰτ εἰς πόλεμον.

Post hæc congregáti sunt fílii Moab, et fílii Ammon, et cum eis de Ammonítis, ad Iósaphat, ut pugnárent contra eum.

וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ לִֽיהוֹשָׁפָט֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בָּ֣א עָלֶ֜יךָ הָמ֥וֹן רָ֛ב מֵעֵ֥בֶר לַיָּ֖ם מֵאֲרָ֑ם וְהִנָּם֙ בְּחַֽצְצ֣וֹן תָּמָ֔ר הִ֖יא עֵ֥ין גֶּֽדִי׃

καὶ ἦλθον καὶ ὑπέδειξαν τῷ Ἰωσαφὰτ λέγοντες Ἥκει ἐπὶ σὲ πλῆθος πολὺ ἐκ πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης ἀπὸ Συρίας, καὶ ἰδού εἰσιν ἐν Ἁσὰμ Θαμαρά, αὕτη ἐστὶν Ἐνγάδει.

Venerúntque núntii, et indicavérunt Iósaphat, dicéntes: Venit contra te multitúdo magna de his locis, quæ trans mare sunt, et de Sýria: et ecce consístunt in Asasónthamar, quæ est Engáddi.

וַיִּרָ֕א וַיִּתֵּ֧ן יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט אֶת פָּנָ֖י־ו לִדְר֣וֹשׁ לַיהוָ֑ה וַיִּקְרָא־צ֖וֹם עַל־כָּל־יְהוּדָֽה׃

καὶ ἐφοβήθη, καὶ ἔδωκεν Ἰωσαφὰτ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐκζητῆσαι τὸν κύριον, καὶ ἐκήρυξαν νηστείαν.

καὶ συνήχθη Ἰούδας ἐκζητῆσαι τὸν κύριον, καὶ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν πόλεων Ἰούδας ἦλθον ζητῆσαι τὸν κύριον.

καὶ ἀνέστη Ἰωσαφὰτ ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ Ἰούδα ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς αὐλῆς τῆς καινῆς,

וַיֹּאמַ֗ר יְהוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י אֲבֹתֵ֨ינוּ֙ הֲלֹ֨א אַתָּֽה־ה֤וּא אֱלֹהִים֙ בַּשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְאַתָּ֣ה מוֹשֵׁ֔ל בְּכֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וּבְיָדְךָ֙ כֹּ֣חַ וּגְבוּרָ֔ה וְאֵ֥ין עִמְּךָ֖ לְהִתְיַצֵּֽב׃

καὶ εἶπεν κύριε θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν, οὐχὶ σὺ εἶ θεὸς ἐν οὐρανῷ ἄνω, καὶ σὺ κυριεύεις πασῶν τῶν βασιλειῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν, καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρί σου ἰσχὺς δυναστείας, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν πρὸς σὲ ἀντιστῆναι;

ait: Dómine Deus patrum nostrórum, tu es Deus in cælo, et domináris cunctis regnis géntium, in manu tua est fortitúdo et poténtia, nec quisquam tibi potest resístere.

הֲלֹ֣א ׀ אַתָּ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ הוֹרַ֨שְׁתָּ֙ אֶת־יֹשְׁבֵי֙ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את מִלִּפְנֵ֖י עַמְּךָ֣ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַֽתִּתְּנָ֗הּ לְזֶ֛רַע אַבְרָהָ֥ם אֹֽהַבְךָ֖ לְעוֹלָֽם׃

οὐχὶ σὺ κύριος ἐξωλέθρευσας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν ταύτην ἀπὸ προσώπου Ἰσραήλ, ἔδωκας αὐτὴν σπέρματι Ἀβραὰμ τῷ ἠγαπημένῳ σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα;

Nonne tu Deus noster interfecísti omnes habitatóres terræ huius coram pópulo tuo Israel, et dedísti eam sémini Abraham amíci tui in sempitérnum?

καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν ἐν αὐτῇ ἁγίασμα τῷ ὀνόματί σου λέγοντες

אִם־תָּב֨וֹא עָלֵ֜ינוּ רָעָ֗ה חֶרֶב֮ שְׁפוֹט֮ וְדֶ֣בֶר וְרָעָב֒ נַֽעַמְדָ֞ה לִפְנֵ֨י הַבַּ֤יִת הַזֶּה֙ וּלְפָנֶ֔יךָ כִּ֥י שִׁמְךָ֖ בַּבַּ֣יִת הַזֶּ֑ה וְנִזְעַ֥ק אֵלֶ֛יךָ מִצָּרָתֵ֖נוּ וְתִשְׁמַ֥ע וְתוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃

Ἐὰν ἐπέλθῃ ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς κακά, ῥομφαία, κρίσις, θάνατος, λιμός, στησόμεθα ἐναντίον τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ καὶ ἐναντίον σου, ὅτι τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπὶ τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ, καὶ βοησόμεθα πρὸς σὲ ἀπὸ τῆς θλίψεως, καὶ ἀκούσῃ καὶ σώσεις.

Si irrúerint super nos mala, gládius iudícii, pestiléntia, et fames, stábimus coram domo hac in conspéctu tuo, in qua invocátum est nomen tuum: et clamábimus ad te in tribulatiónibus nostris, et exáudies, salvósque fácies.

וְעַתָּ֡ה הִנֵּה֩ בְנֵֽי־עַמּ֨וֹן וּמוֹאָ֜ב וְהַר־שֵׂעִ֗יר אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹֽא־נָתַ֤תָּה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לָב֣וֹא בָהֶ֔ם בְּבֹאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם כִּ֛י סָ֥רוּ מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א הִשְׁמִידֽוּם׃

καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ υἱοὶ Ἀμμὼν καὶ ὄρος Σηείρ, εἰς οὓς οὐκ ἔδωκας τῷ Ἰσραὴλ διελθεῖν δι᾽ αὐτῶν, ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου, ὅτι ἐξέκλιναν ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ οὐκ ἐξωλέθρευσαν αὐτούς ·

Nunc ígitur ecce fílii Ammon, et Moab, et mons Seir, per quos non concessísti Israel ut transírent quando egrediebántur de Ægýpto, sed declinavérunt ab eis, et non interfecérunt illos:

וְהִ֨נֵּה־הֵ֔ם גֹּמְלִ֖ים עָלֵ֑ינוּ לָבוֹא֙ לְגָ֣רְשֵׁ֔נוּ מִיְּרֻשָּׁתְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֽוֹרַשְׁתָּֽנוּ׃

καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ αὐτοὶ ἐπιχειροῦσιν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς ἐξελθεῖν ἐκβαλεῖν ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τῆς κληρονομίας ἡμῶν ἧς ἔδωκας ἡμῖν,

אֱלֹהֵ֨ינוּ֙ הֲלֹ֣א תִשְׁפָּט בָּ֔־ם כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין בָּ֨נוּ֙ כֹּ֔חַ לִ֠פְנֵי הֶהָמ֥וֹן הָרָ֛ב הַזֶּ֖ה הַבָּ֣א עָלֵ֑ינוּ וַאֲנַ֗חְנוּ לֹ֤א נֵדַע֙ מַֽה־נַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה כִּ֥י עָלֶ֖יךָ עֵינֵֽינוּ׃

Κύριε θεὸς ἡμῶν · οὐ κρινεῖς ἐν αὐτοῖς; ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἡμῖν ἰσχὺς τοῦ ἀντιστῆναι πρὸς τὸ πλῆθος τὸ πολὺ τοῦτο τὸ ἐλθὸν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς, καὶ οὐκ οἴδαμεν τί ποιήσωμεν αὐτοῖς · ἀλλ᾽ ἐπὶ σοὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἡμῶν.

Deus noster, ergo non iudicábis eos? in nobis quidem non est tanta fortitúdo, ut possímus huic multitúdini resístere. Sed cum ignorémus quid ágere debeámus, hoc solum habémus resídui, ut óculos nostros dirigámus ad te.

καὶ εἶπεν Ἀκούσατε, πᾶς Ἰουδὰ καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες Ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ βασιλεὺς Ἰωσαφάτ. τάδε λέγει Κύριος ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς Μὴ φοβεῖσθε μηδὲ πτοηθῆτε ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ ὄχλου τοῦ πολλοῦ τούτου, ὅτι οὐχ ὑμῖν ἐστὶν παράταξις ἀλλ᾽ τῷ θεῷ.

et ait: Atténdite omnis Iuda, et qui habitátis Ierúsalem, et tu rex Iósaphat: hæc dicit Dóminus vobis: Nolíte timére, nec paveátis hanc multitúdinem: non est enim vestra pugna, sed Dei.

מָחָר֙ רְד֣וּ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם הִנָּ֥ם עֹלִ֖ים בְּמַעֲלֵ֣ה הַצִּ֑יץ וּמְצָאתֶ֤ם אֹתָם֙ בְּס֣וֹף הַנַּ֔חַל פְּנֵ֖י מִדְבַּ֥ר יְרוּאֵֽל׃

αὔριον κατάβητε ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς · ἰδοὺ ἀναβαίνουσιν κατὰ τὴν ἀνάβασιν Ἁσᾶε, καὶ εὑρήσετε αὐτοὺς ἐπ᾽ ἄκρου ποταμοῦ τῆς ἐρήμου Ἰεριήλ.

לֹ֥א לָכֶ֖ם לְהִלָּחֵ֣ם בָּזֹ֑את הִתְיַצְּב֣וּ עִמְד֡וּ וּרְא֣וּ אֶת־יְשׁוּעַת֩ יְהוָ֨ה עִמָּכֶ֜ם יְהוּדָ֣ה וִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗ם אַל־תִּֽירְאוּ֙ וְאַל־תֵּחַ֔תּוּ מָחָר֙ צְא֣וּ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַיהוָ֖ה עִמָּכֶֽם׃

οὐχ ὑμῖν ἐστὶν πολεμῆσαι · ταῦτα σύνετε καὶ ἴδετε τὴν σωτηρίαν Κυρίου μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν · ἰδοὺ καὶ Ἰερουσαλήμ · μὴ πτοηθῆτε μηδὲ φοβηθῆτε αὐτόν, ἐξελθεῖν εἰς ἀπάντησιν αὐτοῖς, καὶ Κύριος μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν.

Non éritis vos qui dimicábitis, sed tantúmmodo confidénter state, et vidébitis auxílium Dómini super vos, o Iuda, et Ierúsalem: nolíte timére, nec paveátis: cras egrediémini contra eos, et Dóminus erit vobíscum.

וַיִּקֹּ֧ד יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט אַפַּ֖יִם אָ֑רְצָה וְכָל־יְהוּדָ֞ה וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם נָֽפְלוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה לְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֖ת לַיהוָֽה׃

καὶ κύψας Ἰωσαφὰτ ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ καὶ πᾶς Ἰουδὰ καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἔπεσαν ἔναντι Κυρίου προσκυνῆσαι Κυρίῳ.

καὶ ἀνέστησαν οἱ Λευεῖται ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Καὰθ καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Κόρε αἰνεῖν Κυρίῳ θεῷ Ἰσραὴλ ἐν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ εἰς ὕψος.

καὶ ὤρθρισαν πρωὶ καὶ ἐξῆλθον εἰς τὴν ἔρημον Θεκῶε · καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐξελθεῖν ἔστη Ἰωσαφὰτ καὶ ἐβόησεν Ἀκούσατέ μου, Ἰουδὰ καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ · ἐνπιστεύσατε ἐν Κυρίῳ θεῷ ὑμῶν, καὶ ἐνπιστευθήσεσθε · ἐνπιστεύσατε ἐν προφήτῃ αὐτοῦ, καὶ εὐοδωθήσεσθε.
