בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ אָחָ֣ז בְּמָלְכ֔וֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְלֹא־עָשָׂ֧ה הַיָּשָׁ֛ר בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה כְּדָוִ֥יד אָבִֽיו׃

Εἴκοσι ἐτῶν Ἀχὰς ἐν τῷ βασιλεῦσαι αὐτόν, καὶ δέκα ἓξ ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ · καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησεν τὸ εὐθὲς ἐνώπιον Κυρίου ὡς Δαυεὶδ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ.

καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτὸν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτοῦ διὰ χειρὸς βασιλέων Συρίας, ἐπάταξεν ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ ᾐχμαλώτευσαν ἐξ αὐτῶν αἰχμαλωσίαν πολλήν · καὶ γὰρ εἰς τὰς χεῖρας βασιλέων Ἰσραὴλ παρέδωκεν αὐτόν, ἐπάταξεν ἑαυτῷ πληγὴν μεγάλην.

καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἄνδρες οἳ ἐπεκλήθησαν ἐν ὀνόματι καὶ ἀντελάβοντο τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας, πάντας τοὺς γυμνοὺς περιέβαλον ἀπὸ τῶν σκύλων, ἐνέδυσαν αὐτοὺς καὶ ὑπέδησαν αὐτούς, ἔδωκαν καὶ φαγεῖν καὶ ἀλείψασθαι, ἀντελάβοντο καὶ ἐν ὑποζυγίοις παντὸς ἀσθενοῦντος, κατέστησαν αὐτοὺς εἰς Ἰερειχὼ πόλιν φοινίκων πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτῶν, ἐπέστρεψαν εἰς Σαμάρειαν.

καὶ οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἐπέθεντο ἐπὶ τὰς πόλεις τῆς πεδινῆς καὶ ἀπὸ λιβὸς τοῦ Ἰούδα, ἔλαβον τὴν Βαιθσάμυς, τὴν Αἰλὼ καὶ τὴν Γαληρὼ καὶ τὴν Σωχὼ καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς καὶ τὴν Γαλεζὼ καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς · καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐκεῖ.
