וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

Καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος Κυρίου πρὸς μὲ λέγων

מַה לָּ־כֶ֗ם אַתֶּם֙ מֹֽשְׁלִים֙ אֶת הַ־מָּשָׁ֣ל הַזֶּ֔ה עַל־אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר אָבוֹת֙ יֹ֣אכְלוּ בֹ֔סֶר וְשִׁנֵּ֥י הַבָּנִ֖ים תִּקְהֶֽינָה׃

Υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, τί ὑμῖν παραβολὴ αὕτη ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ, λέγοντες Οἱ πατέρες ἔφαγον ὄμφακα, καὶ οἱ ὀδόντες τῶν τέκνων ἐγομφίασαν;

Quid est quod inter vos parábolam vértitis in provérbium istud in terra Israel, dicéntes: Patres comedérunt uvam acérbam, et dentes filiórum obstupéscunt?

חַי־אָ֕נִי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה אִם־יִֽהְיֶ֨ה לָכֶ֜ם ע֗וֹד מְשֹׁ֛ל הַמָּשָׁ֥ל הַזֶּ֖ה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

ζῶ ἐγώ, λέγει Κύριος, ἐὰν γένηται ἔτι λεγομένη παραβολὴ αὕτη ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ.

הֵ֤ן כָּל הַ־נְּפָשׁוֹת֙ לִ֣י הֵ֔נָּה כְּנֶ֧פֶשׁ הָאָ֛ב וּכְנֶ֥פֶשׁ הַבֵּ֖ן לִי־הֵ֑נָּה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַחֹטֵ֖את הִ֥יא תָמֽוּת׃ ס

ὅτι πᾶσαι αἱ ψυχαὶ ἐμαί εἰσιν, ὃν τρόπον ψυχὴ τοῦ πατρὸς οὕτως καὶ ψυχὴ τοῦ υἱοῦ, ἐμαί εἰσιν · ψυχὴ ἁμαρτάνουσα, αὕτη ἀποθανεῖται.

Ecce omnes ánimæ meæ sunt: ut ánima patris, ita et ánima fílii mea est: ánima, quæ peccáverit, ipsa moriétur.

אֶל הֶֽ־הָרִים֙ לֹ֣א אָכָ֔ל וְעֵינָיו֙ לֹ֣א נָשָׂ֔א אֶל־גִּלּוּלֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאֶת־אֵ֤שֶׁת רֵעֵ֨הוּ֙ לֹ֣א טִמֵּ֔א וְאֶל־אִשָּׁ֥ה נִדָּ֖ה לֹ֥א יִקְרָֽב׃

ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων οὐ φάγεται, καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ ἐπάρῃ πρὸς τὰ ἐνθυμήματα οἴκου Ἰσραήλ, καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ μιάνῃ, καὶ πρὸς γυναῖκα ἐν ἀφέδρῳ οὖσαν οὐ προσεγγιεῖ,

in móntibus non coméderit, et óculos suos non leváverit ad idóla domus Israel: et uxórem próximi sui non violáverit, et ad mulíerem menstruátam non accésserit:

וְאִישׁ֙ לֹ֣א יוֹנֶ֔ה חֲבֹלָת֥וֹ חוֹב֙ יָשִׁ֔יב גְּזֵלָ֖ה לֹ֣א יִגְזֹ֑ל לַחְמוֹ֙ לְרָעֵ֣ב יִתֵּ֔ן וְעֵירֹ֖ם יְכַסֶּה־בָּֽגֶד׃

καὶ ἄνθρωπον οὐ μὴ καταδυναστεύσῃ, ἐνεχυρασμὸν ὀφείλοντος ἀποδώσει καὶ ἅρπαγμα οὐχ ἁρπᾶται, τὸν ἄρτον αὐτοῦ τῷ πεινῶντι δώσει καὶ γυμνὸν περιβαλεῖ,

et hóminem non contristáverit, pignus debitóri reddíderit, per vim nihil rapúerit: panem suum esuriénti déderit, et nudum operúerit vestiménto:

בַּנֶּ֣שֶׁךְ לֹֽא־יִתֵּ֗ן וְתַרְבִּית֙ לֹ֣א יִקָּ֔ח מֵעָ֖וֶל יָשִׁ֣יב יָד֑וֹ מִשְׁפַּ֤ט אֱמֶת֙ יַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה בֵּ֥ין אִ֖ישׁ לְאִֽישׁ׃

καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τόκῳ οὐ δώσει καὶ πλεονασμὸν οὐ λήμψεται, καὶ ἐξ ἀδικίας ἀποστρέψει τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ, κρίμα δίκαιον ποιήσει ἀνὰ μέσον ἀνδρὸς καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ,

בְּחֻקּוֹתַ֧י יְהַלֵּ֛ךְ וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֥י שָׁמַ֖ר לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת אֱמֶ֑ת צַדִּ֥יק הוּא֙ חָיֹ֣ה יִֽחְיֶ֔ה נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃

καὶ τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου πεπόρευται, τὰ δικαιώματά μου πεφύλακται τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτά · δίκαιος οὗτός ἐστιν, ζωῇ ζήσεται, λέγει Κύριος.

in præcéptis meis ambuláverit, et iudícia mea custodíerit ut fáciat veritátem: hic iustus est, vita vivet, ait Dóminus Deus.

וְהוֹלִ֥יד בֵּן־פָּרִ֖יץ שֹׁפֵ֣ךְ דָּ֑ם וְעָ֣שָׂה אָ֔ח מֵאַחַ֖ד מֵאֵֽלֶּה׃

καὶ ἐὰν γεννήσῃ υἱὸν λοιμόν, ἐκχέοντα αἷμα καὶ ποιοῦντα ἁμάρτημα,

Quod si genúerit fílium latrónem, effundéntem sánguinem, et fécerit unum de istis:

If he beget a son [that is] a robber, a shedder of blood, and [that] doeth the like to [any] one of these [things],

וְה֕וּא אֶת־כָּל־אֵ֖לֶּה לֹ֣א עָשָׂ֑ה כִּ֣י גַ֤ם אֶל הֶֽ־הָרִים֙ אָכַ֔ל וְאֶת־אֵ֥שֶׁת רֵעֵ֖הוּ טִמֵּֽא׃

ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ τοῦ δικαίου οὐκ ἐπορεύθη, ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων ἔφαγεν καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἐμίανεν,

עָנִ֤י וְאֶבְיוֹן֙ הוֹנָ֔ה גְּזֵל֣וֹת גָּזָ֔ל חֲבֹ֖ל לֹ֣א יָשִׁ֑יב וְאֶל הַ־גִּלּוּלִים֙ נָשָׂ֣א עֵינָ֔יו תּוֹעֵבָ֖ה עָשָֽׂה׃

καὶ πτωχὸν καὶ πένητα κατεδυνάστευσεν, καὶ ἅρπαγμα ἥρπασεν καὶ ἐνεχυρασμὸν οὐκ ἀπέδωκεν καὶ εἰς τὰ εἴδωλα ἔθετο τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ, ἀνομίαν πεποίηκεν,

בַּנֶּ֧שֶׁךְ נָתַ֛ן וְתַרְבִּ֥ית לָקַ֖ח וָחָ֑י לֹ֣א יִֽחְיֶ֗ה אֵ֣ת כָּל הַ־תּוֹעֵב֤וֹת הָאֵ֨לֶּה֙ עָשָׂ֔ה מ֣וֹת יוּמָ֔ת דָּמָ֖יו בּ֥וֹ יִהְיֶֽה׃

μετὰ τόκου ἔδωκε καὶ πλεονασμὸν ἔλαβεν · οὗτος ζωῇ οὐ ζήσεται, πάσας τὰς ἀνομίας ταύτας ἐποίησεν, θανάτῳ θανατωθήσεται, τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔσται.

καὶ ἀπ᾽ ἀδικίας ἀπέστρεψε τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ, τόκον οὐδὲ πλεονασμὸν οὐκ ἔλαβεν, δικαιοσύνην ἐποίησεν καὶ ἐν τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου ἐπορεύθη, οὐ τελευτήσει ἐν ἀδικίαις πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, ζωῇ ζήσεται.

δὲ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἐὰν θλίψει θλίψῃ καὶ ἁρπάσῃ ἅρπαγμα, ἐναντία ἐποίησεν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ λαοῦ μου, καὶ ἀποθανεῖται ἐν τῇ ἀδικίᾳ αὐτοῦ.

Pater eius, quia calumniátus est, et vim fecit fratri, et malum operátus est in médio pópuli sui, ecce mórtuus est in iniquitáte sua.

וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם מַדֻּ֛עַ לֹא־נָשָׂ֥א הַבֵּ֖ן בַּעֲוֺ֣ן הָאָ֑ב וְהַבֵּ֞ן מִשְׁפָּ֧ט וּצְדָקָ֣ה עָשָׂ֗ה אֵ֣ת כָּל חֻקּוֹתַ֥־י שָׁמַ֛ר וַיַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם חָיֹ֥ה יִחְיֶֽה׃

καὶ ἐρεῖτε Τί ὅτι οὐκ ἔλαβεν τὴν ἀδικίαν υἱὸς τοῦ πατρός; ὅτι υἱὸς δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἔλεος πεποίηκεν, πάντα τὰ νόμιμά μου συνετήρησεν καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτά, ζωῇ ζήσεται.

Et dícitis: Quare non portávit fílius iniquitátem patris? Vidélicet, quia fílius iudícium, et iustítiam operátus est, ómnia præcépta mea custodívit, et fecit illa, vivet vita.

הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַחֹטֵ֖את הִ֣יא תָמ֑וּת בֵּ֞ן לֹא־יִשָּׂ֣א ׀ בַּעֲוֺ֣ן הָאָ֗ב וְאָב֙ לֹ֤א יִשָּׂא֙ בַּעֲוֺ֣ן הַבֵּ֔ן צִדְקַ֤ת הַצַּדִּיק֙ עָלָ֣יו תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְרִשְׁעַ֥ת רשע עָלָ֥יו תִּֽהְיֶֽה׃ ס

δὲ ψυχὴ ἁμαρτάνουσα ἀποθανεῖται · δὲ υἱὸς οὐ λήμψεται τὴν ἀδικίαν τοῦ πατρός, οὐδὲ πατὴρ λήμψεται τὴν ἀδικίαν τοῦ υἱοῦ; δικαιοσύνη δικαίῳ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔσται, καὶ ἀνομία ἀνόμῳ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔσται.

Anima, quæ peccáverit, ipsa moriétur: fílius non portábit iniquitátem patris, et pater non portábit iniquitátem fílii: iustítia iusti super eum erit, et impíetas ímpii erit super eum.

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

וְהָרָשָׁ֗ע כִּ֤י יָשׁוּב֙ מִכָּל חטאת־ו אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה וְשָׁמַר֙ אֶת־כָּל חֻקּוֹתַ֔־י וְעָשָׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָ֑ה חָיֹ֥ה יִחְיֶ֖ה לֹ֥א יָמֽוּת׃

καὶ ἄνομος ἐὰν ἀποστρέψῃ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν ἀνομιῶν αὐτοῦ ὧν ἐποίησεν, καὶ φυλάξηται πάσας τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ ποιήσῃ δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἔλεος, ζωῇ ζήσεται, οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνῃ.

Si autem ímpius égerit pœniténtiam ab ómnibus peccátis suis, quæ operátus est, et custodíerit ómnia præcépta mea, et fécerit iudícium et iustítiam: vita vivet, et non moriétur.

וּבְשׁ֨וּב צַדִּ֤יק מִצִּדְקָתוֹ֙ וְעָ֣שָׂה עָ֔וֶל כְּכֹ֨ל הַתּוֹעֵב֜וֹת אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֧ה הָרָשָׁ֛ע יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה וָחָ֑י כָּל צדקת־ו אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה֙ לֹ֣א תִזָּכַ֔רְנָה בְּמַעֲל֧וֹ אֲשֶׁר־מָעַ֛ל וּבְחַטָּאת֥וֹ אֲשֶׁר־חָטָ֖א בָּ֥ם יָמֽוּת׃
