וַיֵּאָסְפ֤וּ כָל הָ־עָם֙ כְּאִ֣ישׁ אֶחָ֔ד אֶל הָ֣־רְח֔וֹב אֲשֶׁ֖ר לִפְנֵ֣י שַֽׁעַר הַ־מָּ֑יִם וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ לְעֶזְרָ֣א הַסֹּפֵ֔ר לְהָבִ֗יא אֶת־סֵ֨פֶר֙ תּוֹרַ֣ת מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Καὶ ἔφθασεν μὴν ἕβδομος καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν, καὶ συνήχθησαν πᾶς λαὸς ὡς ἀνὴρ εἷς εἰς τὸ πλάτος τὸ ἔμπροσθεν πύλης τοῦ ὕδατος. καὶ εἶπαν τῷ Ἔσρᾳ τῷ γραμματεῖ ἐνέγκαι τὸ βιβλίον νόμου Μωυσῆ ἐνετείλατο τῷ Ἰσραήλ.

Et vénerat mensis séptimus: fílii autem Israel erant in civitátibus suis. Congregatúsque est omnis pópulus quasi vir unus ad platéam, quæ est ante portam aquárum: et dixérunt Esdræ scribæ ut afférret librum legis Móysi, quam præcéperat Dóminus Israéli.

And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that [was] before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.

וַיָּבִ֣יא עֶזְרָ֣א הַ֠כֹּהֵן אֶֽת הַ־תּוֹרָ֞ה לִפְנֵ֤י הַקָּהָל֙ מֵאִ֣ישׁ וְעַד־אִשָּׁ֔ה וְכֹ֖ל מֵבִ֣ין לִשְׁמֹ֑עַ בְּי֥וֹם אֶחָ֖ד לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִֽי׃

καὶ ἤνεγκεν Ἔσρας ἱερεὺς τὸν νόμον ἐνώπιον τῆς ἐκκλησίας, ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς ἕως γυναικὸς καὶ πᾶς συνίων ἀκούειν, ἐν ἡμέρᾳ μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ ἑβδόμου ·

וַיִּקְרָא ב־וֹ֩ לִפְנֵ֨י הָרְח֜וֹב אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ לִפְנֵ֣י שַֽׁעַר הַ־מַּ֗יִם מִן הָ־אוֹר֙ עַד־מַחֲצִ֣ית הַיּ֔וֹם נֶ֛גֶד הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים וְהַנָּשִׁ֖ים וְהַמְּבִינִ֑ים וְאָזְנֵ֥י כָל הָ־עָ֖ם אֶל־סֵ֥פֶר הַתּוֹרָֽה׃

καὶ ἀνέγνω ἐν αὐτῷ ἀπὸ τῆς ὥρας τοῦ διαφωτίσαι τὸν ἥλιον ἕως ἡμίσους τῆς ἡμέρας ἀπέναντι τῶν ἀνδρῶν καὶ τῶν γυναικῶν, καὶ αὐτοὶ συνιέντες · καὶ ὦτα παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ εἰς τὸ βιβλίον τοῦ νόμου.

Et legit in eo apérte in platéa, quæ erat ante portam aquárum, de mane usque ad médiam diem, in conspéctu virórum et mulíerum, et sapiéntium: et aures omnis pópuli erant eréctæ ad librum.

וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֞ד עֶזְרָ֣א הַסֹּפֵ֗ר עַֽל־מִגְדַּל־עֵץ֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשׂ֣וּ לַדָּבָר֒ וַיַּֽעֲמֹ֣ד אֶצְל֡וֹ מַתִּתְיָ֡ה וְשֶׁ֡מַע וַ֠עֲנָיָה וְאוּרִיָּ֧ה וְחִלְקִיָּ֛ה וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֖ה עַל יְמִינ֑־וֹ וּמִשְּׂמֹאל֗וֹ פְּ֠דָיָה וּמִֽישָׁאֵ֧ל וּמַלְכִּיָּ֛ה וְחָשֻׁ֥ם וְחַשְׁבַּדָּ֖נָה זְכַרְיָ֥ה מְשֻׁלָּֽם׃ פ

καὶ ἔστη Ἔσρας γραμματεὺς ἐπὶ βήματος ξυλίνου, καὶ ἔστησεν ἐχόμενα αὐτοῦ Ματταθίας καὶ Σαμαίας καὶ Ἀνανιὰ καὶ Οὐρειὰ καὶ Ἑλκειὰ καὶ Μαασσαιὰ ἐκ δεξιῶν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐξ ἀριστερῶν Φαδαίας καὶ Μεισαὴλ καὶ Μελχείας καὶ Ζαχαρίας.

Stetit autem Esdras scriba super gradum lígneum, quem fécerat ad loquéndum: et stetérunt iuxta eum Mathathías, et Semeía, et Anía, et Uría, et Helcía, et Maasía, ad déxteram eius: et ad sinístram, Phadaía, Mísael, et Melchía, et Hasum, et Hasbádana, Zacharía, et Mosóllam.

And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, [and] Meshullam.

וַיִּפְתַּ֨ח עֶזְרָ֤א הַסֵּ֨פֶר֙ לְעֵינֵ֣י כָל הָ־עָ֔ם כִּֽי מֵ־עַ֥ל כָּל הָ־עָ֖ם הָיָ֑ה וּכְפִתְח֖וֹ עָֽמְד֥וּ כָל הָ־עָֽם׃

καὶ ἤνοιξεν Ἔσρας τὸ βιβλίον ἐνώπιον παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ, ὅτι αὐτὸς ἦν ἐπάνω τοῦ λαοῦ · καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἤνοιξεν αὐτό, ἔστη πᾶς λαός.

וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ עֶזְרָ֔א אֶת־יְהוָ֥ה הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים הַגָּד֑וֹל וַיַּֽעֲנ֨וּ כָל הָ־עָ֜ם אָמֵ֤ן ׀ אָמֵן֙ בְּמֹ֣עַל יְדֵיהֶ֔ם וַיִּקְּד֧וּ וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲוֻּ֛ לַיהוָ֖ה אַפַּ֥יִם אָֽרְצָה׃

καὶ ηὐλόγησεν τὸν κύριον τὸν θεὸν τὸν μέγαν, καὶ ἀπεκρίθη πᾶς λαὸς καὶ εἶπαν Ἀμήν, καὶ ἔκυψαν καὶ προσεκύνησαν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ πρόσωπον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν.

Et benedíxit Esdras Dómino Deo magno: et respóndit omnis pópulus: Amen, amen: élevans manus suas: et incurváti sunt, et adoravérunt Deum proni in terram.

וְיֵשׁ֡וּעַ וּבָנִ֡י וְשֵׁרֵ֥בְיָ֣ה ׀ יָמִ֡ין עַקּ֡וּב שַׁבְּתַ֣י ׀ הֽוֹדִיָּ֡ה מַעֲשֵׂיָ֡ה קְלִיטָ֣א עֲזַרְיָה֩ יוֹזָבָ֨ד חָנָ֤ן פְּלָאיָה֙ וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם מְבִינִ֥ים אֶת הָ־עָ֖ם לַתּוֹרָ֑ה וְהָעָ֖ם עַל עָמְדָֽ־ם׃

καὶ Ἰησοῦς καὶ Βαναιὰ καὶ Σαραβιὰ ἦσαν συνετίζοντες τὸν λαὸν εἰς τὸν νόμον · καὶ λαὸς ἐν τῇ στάσει αὐτοῦ.

וַֽיִּקְרְא֥וּ בַסֵּ֛פֶר בְּתוֹרַ֥ת הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים מְפֹרָ֑שׁ וְשׂ֣וֹם שֶׂ֔כֶל וַיָּבִ֖ינוּ בַּמִּקְרָֽא׃ ס

καὶ ἀνέγνωσαν ἐν βιβλίῳ νόμου τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ ἐδίδασκεν Ἔσρας καὶ διέστελλεν ἐν ἐπιστήμῃ Κυρίου, καὶ συνῆκεν λαὸς ἐν τῇ ἀναγνώσει.

καὶ εἶπεν Νεεμίας, καὶ Ἔσρας ἱερεὺς καὶ γραμματεὺς καὶ οἱ Λευεῖται συνέτιζον τὸν λαόν, καὶ εἶπαν παντὶ τῷ λαῷ Ἡμέρα ἁγία ἐστὶν Κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν, μὴ πενθεῖτε μηδὲ κλαίετε · ὅτι ἔκλαιεν πᾶς λαός, ὡς ἤκουσαν τοὺς λόγους τοῦ νόμου.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֡ם לְכוּ֩ אִכְל֨וּ מַשְׁמַנִּ֜ים וּשְׁת֣וּ מַֽמְתַקִּ֗ים וְשִׁלְח֤וּ מָנוֹת֙ לְאֵ֣ין נָכ֣וֹן ל֔וֹ כִּֽי־קָד֥וֹשׁ הַיּ֖וֹם לַאֲדֹנֵ֑ינוּ וְאַל־תֵּ֣עָצֵ֔בוּ כִּֽי־חֶדְוַ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה הִ֥יא מָֽעֻזְּכֶֽם׃

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Πορεύεσθε, φάγετε λιπάσματα καὶ πίετε γλυκάσματα καὶ ἀποστείλατε μερίδα τοῖς μὴ ἔχουσιν, ὅτι ἁγία ἐστὶν ἡμέρα τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν · καὶ μὴ διαπέσητε, ὅτι ἐστὶν ἰσχὺς ἡμῶν.

Et dixit eis: Ite, comédite pínguia, et bíbite mulsum, et míttite partes his, qui non præparavérunt sibi: quia sanctus dies Dómini est, et nolíte contristári: gáudium étenim Dómini est fortitúdo nostra.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

וְהַלְוִיִּ֞ם מַחְשִׁ֤ים לְכָל הָ־עָם֙ לֵאמֹ֣ר הַ֔סּוּ כִּ֥י הַיּ֖וֹם קָדֹ֑שׁ וְאַל־תֵּעָצֵֽבוּ׃

καὶ οἱ Λευεῖται κατεσιώπων τὸν λαὸν λέγοντες Σιωπᾶτε, ὅτι ἡμέρα ἁγία, καὶ μὴ καταπίπτετε.

וַיֵּלְכ֨וּ כָל הָ־עָ֜ם לֶאֱכֹ֤ל וְלִשְׁתּוֹת֙ וּלְשַׁלַּ֣ח מָנ֔וֹת וְלַעֲשׂ֖וֹת שִׂמְחָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֑ה כִּ֤י הֵבִ֨ינוּ֙ בַּדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הוֹדִ֖יעוּ לָהֶֽם׃ ס

καὶ ἀπῆλθεν πᾶς λαὸς φαγεῖν καὶ πιεῖν καὶ ἀποστέλλειν μερίδας καὶ ποιῆσαι εὐφροσύνην μεγάλην, ὅτι συνῆκαν ἐν τοῖς λόγοις οἷς ἐγνώρισεν αὐτοῖς.

Abiit ítaque omnis pópulus ut coméderet, et bíberet, et mítteret partes, et fáceret lætítiam magnam: quia intelléxerant verba, quæ docúerat eos.

וּבַיּ֣וֹם הַשֵּׁנִ֡י נֶאֶסְפוּ֩ רָאשֵׁ֨י הָאָב֜וֹת לְכָל הָ־עָ֗ם הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם אֶל־עֶזְרָ֖א הַסֹּפֵ֑ר וּלְהַשְׂכִּ֖יל אֶל־דִּבְרֵ֥י הַתּוֹרָֽה׃

Καὶ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ δευτέρᾳ συνήχθησαν οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν σὺν τῷ παντὶ λαῷ οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευεῖται πρὸς Ἔσραν τὸν γραμματέα, ἐπιστῆσαι πρὸς πάντας τοὺς λόγους τοῦ νόμου.

וַֽיִּמְצְא֖וּ כָּת֣וּב בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֤ה יְהוָה֙ בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֲשֶׁר֩ יֵשְׁב֨וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל בַּסֻּכּ֛וֹת בֶּחָ֖ג בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִֽי׃

καὶ εὕροσαν γεγραμμένον ἐν τῷ νόμῳ ἐνετείλατο Κύριος τῷ Μωσῇ, ὅπως κατοικήσωσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἐν σκηναῖς ἐν ἑορτῇ ἐν μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ,

וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר יַשְׁמִ֗יעוּ וְיַעֲבִ֨ירוּ ק֥וֹל בְּכָל עָרֵי־הֶם֮ וּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֣ם לֵאמֹר֒ צְא֣וּ הָהָ֗ר וְהָבִ֨יאוּ֙ עֲלֵי־זַ֨יִת֙ וַעֲלֵי־עֵ֣ץ שֶׁ֔מֶן וַעֲלֵ֤י הֲדַס֙ וַעֲלֵ֣י תְמָרִ֔ים וַעֲלֵ֖י עֵ֣ץ עָבֹ֑ת לַעֲשֹׂ֥ת סֻכֹּ֖ת כַּכָּתֽוּב׃ פ

καὶ ὅπως σημαίνωσιν σάλπιγξιν ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ. καὶ εἶπεν Ἔσρας Ἐξέλθετε εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ ἐνέγκετε φύλλα ἐλαίας καὶ φύλλα ξύλων κυπαρισσίνων καὶ φύλλα μυρσίνης καὶ φύλλα φοινίκων καὶ φύλλα ξύλου δασέος, ποιῆσαι σκηνὰς κατὰ τὸ γεγραμμένον.

et ut prǽdicent, et divúlgent vocem in univérsis úrbibus suis, et in Ierúsalem, dicéntes: Egredímini in montem, et afférte frondes olívæ, et frondes ligni pulchérrimi, frondes myrti, et ramos palmárum, et frondes ligni nemorósi, ut fiant tabernácula, sicut scriptum est.

And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as [it is] written.

וַיֵּצְא֣וּ הָעָם֮ וַיָּבִיאוּ֒ וַיַּעֲשׂוּ֩ לָהֶ֨ם סֻכּ֜וֹת אִ֤ישׁ עַל גַּגּ־וֹ֙ וּבְחַצְרֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם וּבְחַצְר֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וּבִרְחוֹב֙ שַׁ֣עַר הַמַּ֔יִם וּבִרְח֖וֹב שַׁ֥עַר אֶפְרָֽיִם׃

καὶ ἐξῆλθεν λαὸς καὶ ἤνεγκαν, καὶ ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς σκηνὰς ἀνὴρ ἐπὶ τοῦ δώματος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἕως πύλης Ἐφράιμ.

Et egréssus est pópulus, et attulérunt. Fecerúntque sibi tabernácula unusquísque in dómate suo, et in átriis suis, et in átriis domus Dei, et in platéa portæ aquárum, et in platéa portæ Ephraim.

וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֣וּ כָֽל הַ֠־קָּהָל הַשָּׁבִ֨ים מִן הַ־שְּׁבִ֥י ׀ סֻכּוֹת֮ וַיֵּשְׁב֣וּ בַסֻּכּוֹת֒ כִּ֣י לֹֽא־עָשׂ֡וּ מִימֵי֩ יֵשׁ֨וּעַ בִּן־נ֥וּן כֵּן֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא וַתְּהִ֥י שִׂמְחָ֖ה גְּדוֹלָ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃

καὶ ἐποίησαν πᾶσα ἐκκλησία οἱ ἐπιστρέψαντες ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας σκηνάς, καὶ ἐκάθισαν ἐν σκηναίς · ὅτι οὐκ ἐποίησαν ἀπὸ ἡμερῶν Ἰησοῦ υἱοῦ Ναυὴ οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἐκείνης · καὶ ἐγένετο εὐφροσύνη μεγάλη.

Fecit ergo univérsa ecclésia eórum, qui redíerant de captivitáte, tabernácula, et habitavérunt in tabernáculis: non enim fécerant a diébus Iósue fílii Nun táliter fílii Israel usque ad diem illum. Et fuit lætítia magna nimis.

And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

וַ֠יִּקְרָא בְּסֵ֨פֶר תּוֹרַ֤ת הָאֱלֹהִים֙ י֣וֹם ׀ בְּי֔וֹם מִן הַ־יּוֹם֙ הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הָאַחֲר֑וֹן וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־חָג֙ שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֔ים וּבַיּ֧וֹם הַשְּׁמִינִ֛י עֲצֶ֖רֶת כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ פ

καὶ ἀνέγνω ἐν βιβλίῳ νόμου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμέραν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας τῆς πρώτης ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας τῆς ἐσχάτης · καὶ ἐποίησαν ἑορτὴν ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας, καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ὀγδόῃ ἐξόδιον.

Legit autem in libro legis Dei per dies síngulos, a die primo usque ad diem novíssimum. Et fecérunt solemnitátem septem diébus, et in die octávo colléctam iuxta ritum.
