וַתִּקְרַ֜בְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָ֗ד בֶּן־חֵ֤פֶר בֶּן־גִּלְעָד֙ בֶּן־מָכִ֣יר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה לְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֖ת מְנַשֶּׁ֣ה בֶן־יוֹסֵ֑ף וְאֵ֨לֶּה֙ שְׁמ֣וֹת בְּנֹתָ֔יו מַחְלָ֣ה נֹעָ֔ה וְחָגְלָ֥ה וּמִלְכָּ֖ה וְתִרְצָֽה׃

Καὶ προσελθοῦσαι αἱ θυγατέρες Σαλπαὰδ υἱοῦ Ὅφερ υἱοῦ Γαλαὰδ υἱοῦ Μαχείρ, τοῦ δήμου Μανασσὴ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰωσήφ, καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν · Μαλὰ καὶ Νουὰ καὶ Ἑγλὰ καὶ Μελχὰ καὶ Θερσά ·

Accessérunt autem fíliæ Sálphaad, fílii Hepher, fílii Gálaad, fílii Machir, fílii Manásse, qui fuit fílius Ioseph: quarum sunt nómina, Máala, et Noa, et Hegla, et Melcha, et Thersa.

ותקרבנה בנות צלפחד בן־חפר בן־גלעד בן־מכיר בן־מנשׁה למשׁפחות מנשׁה בן־יוסף ואלה שׁמות בנתיו מחלה ונעה חגלה מלכה ותרצה

Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these [are] the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.

καὶ στᾶσαι ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἔναντι Ἐλεαζὰρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου λέγουσιν

Steterúntque coram Móyse et Eleázaro sacerdóte et cunctis princípibus pópuli ad óstium tabernáculi fœ́deris, atque dixérunt:

ותעמדנה לפני משׁה ולפני אלעזר הכהן ולפני הנשׂיאים וכל העדה פתח אהל־מועד לאמר

And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, [by] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

אָבִינוּ֮ מֵ֣ת בַּמִּדְבָּר֒ וְה֨וּא לֹא־הָיָ֜ה בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֗ה הַנּוֹעָדִ֛ים עַל־יְהוָ֖ה בַּעֲדַת־קֹ֑רַח כִּֽי בְחֶטְא֣־וֹ מֵ֔ת וּבָנִ֖ים לֹא־הָ֥יוּ לֽוֹ׃

Ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἦν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς συναγωγῆς τῆς ἐπισυστάσης ἔναντι Κυρίου ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ Κόρε · ὅτι διὰ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῦ ἀπέθανεν, καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ.

Pater noster mórtuus est in desérto, nec fuit in seditióne, quæ concitáta est contra Dóminum sub Core, sed in peccáto suo mórtuus est: hic non hábuit mares fílios. Cur tóllitur nomen illíus de família sua, quia non hábuit fílium? Date nobis possessiónem inter cognátos patris nostri.

אבינו מת במדבר והוא לא־היה בתוך העדה הנועדים על־יהוה בעדת־קרח כי בחטאו מת אבינו ובנים לא־היה לו

Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.

לָ֣מָּה יִגָּרַ֤ע שֵׁם אָבִ֨י־נוּ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹ כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בֵּ֑ן תְּנָה לָּ֣־נוּ אֲחֻזָּ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽינוּ׃

μὴ ἐξαλειφθήτω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ δήμου αὐτοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ υἱός · δότε ἡμῖν κατάσχεσιν ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς ἡμῶν.

Retulítque Móyses causam eárum ad iudícium Dómini.

למה יגרע שׁם אבינו מתוך משׁפחתו כי אין לו בן תנו לנו אחזת נחלה בתוך אחי אבינו
4
Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us [therefore] a possession among the brethren of our father.

καὶ προσήγαγεν Μωυσῆς τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν ἔναντι Κυρίου.

And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.

Iustam rem póstulant fíliæ Sálphaad: da eis possessiónem inter cognátos patris sui, et ei in hereditátem succédant.

כֵּ֗ן בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָד֮ דֹּבְרֹת֒ נָתֹ֨ן תִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֲחֻזַּ֣ת נַחֲלָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֣י אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֛ אֶת־נַחֲלַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ן לָהֶֽן׃
7
Ὀρθῶς θυγατέρες Σαλπαὰδ λελαλήκασιν · δόμα δώσεις αὐταῖς κατάσχεσιν κληρονομίας ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς αὐτῶν, καὶ περιθήσεις τὸν κλῆρον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν αὐταῖς.

Ad fílios autem Israel loquéris hæc:

כן בנות צלפחד דברות נתן תתן להן אחזת נחלה בתוך אחי אביהן והעברת את־נחלת אביהן להן
7
The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father ’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.

וְאֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר אִ֣ישׁ כִּֽי־יָמ֗וּת וּבֵן֙ אֵ֣ין ל֔וֹ וְהַֽעֲבַרְתֶּ֥ם אֶת נַחֲלָת֖־וֹ לְבִתּֽוֹ׃

καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ λαλήσεις λέγων Ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ υἱὸς μὴ ἦν αὐτῷ, περιθήσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ ·

Homo cum mórtuus fúerit absque fílio, ad fíliam eius transíbit heréditas.

ואל־בני ישׂראל תדבר לאמר אישׁ כי־ימות ובן אין לו ונתתם את נחלתו לבתו
8
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.

וְאִם־אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בַּ֑ת וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת נַחֲלָת֖־וֹ לְאֶחָיו׃

ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ θυγάτηρ αὐτῷ, δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ ·

Si fíliam non habúerit, habébit successóres fratres suos.

ואם־אין לו בת ונתתם את נחלתו לאחיו
9
And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.

ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν αὐτῷ ἀδελφοί, δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ·

Quod si et fratres non fúerint, dábitis hereditátem frátribus patris eius.

ואם־אין לו אחים ונתתם את נחלתו לאחי אביו

And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father ’s brethren.

וְאִם־אֵ֣ין אַחִים֮ לְאָבִיו֒ וּנְתַתֶּ֣ם אֶת נַחֲלָת֗־וֹ לִשְׁאֵר֞וֹ הַקָּרֹ֥ב אֵלָ֛יו מִמִּשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹ וְיָרַ֣שׁ אֹתָ֑הּ וְֽהָ֨יְתָ֜ה לִבְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְחֻקַּ֣ת מִשְׁפָּ֔ט כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ ס

ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν ἀδελφοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ οἰκείῳ τῷ ἔγγιστα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς αὐτοῦ · κληρονομήσει τὰ αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ δικαίωμα κρίσεως, καθὰ συνέταξεν Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.

Sin autem nec pátruos habúerit, dábitur heréditas his, qui ei próximi sunt. Erítque hoc fíliis Israel sanctum lege perpétua, sicut præcépit Dóminus Móysi.

ואם־אין אחים לאביו ונתתם את נחלתו לשׁארו הקרוב אליו ממשׁפחתו ויירשׁ אתו והיתה לבני ישׂראל לחקת משׁפט כאשׁר צוה יהוה את־משׁה
11
And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Καὶ εἶπεν Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἐν τῷ πέραν, τοῦτο τὸ ὄρος Ναβαύ, καὶ ἴδε τὴν γῆν Χανάαν, ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ ἐν κατασχέσει ·

Dixit quoque Dóminus ad Móysen: Ascénde in montem istum Abarim, et contempláre inde terram, quam datúrus sum fíliis Israel.

וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה לאמר עלה אל־הר העברים הזה וראה את הארץ אשׁר נתתי לבני ישׂראל
12
And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.

καὶ ὄψει αὐτήν, καὶ προστεθήσῃ πρὸς τὸν λαόν σου καὶ σύ, καθὰ προσετέθη Ἀαρὼν ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐν τῷ Ὣρ τῷ ὄρει ·

Cumque víderis eam, ibis et tu ad pópulum tuum, sicut ivit frater tuus Aaron:

וראית אתה ונאספת אל עמך גם־אתה כאשׁר נאסף אהרן אחיך
13
And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ מְרִיתֶ֨ם פִּ֜י בְּמִדְבַּר־צִ֗ן בִּמְרִיבַת֙ הָֽעֵדָ֔ה לְהַקְדִּישֵׁ֥נִי בַמַּ֖יִם לְעֵינֵיהֶ֑ם הֵ֛ם מֵֽי־מְרִיבַ֥ת קָדֵ֖שׁ מִדְבַּר־צִֽן׃ פ

διότι παρέβητε τὸ ῥῆμά μου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σείν, ἐν τῷ ἀντιπίπτειν τὴν συναγωγήν, ἁγιάσαι με · οὐχ ἡγιάσατέ με ἐπὶ τῷ ὕδατι ἔναντι αὐτῶν, τοῦτο ἔστιν ὕδωρ ἀντιλογίας ἐν Καδὴς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σείν.

quia offendístis me in desérto Sin in contradictióne multitúdinis, nec sanctificáre me voluístis coram ea super aquas: hæ sunt aquæ contradictiónis in Cades desérti Sin.

אשׁר מריתם את פיי במדבר־צן במריבת העדה להקדישׁני במים לעיניהם הם מי־מריבת קדשׁ מדבר־צן
14
For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that [is] the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃

καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κύριον.

And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying,

יִפְקֹ֣ד יְהוָ֔ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָרוּחֹ֖ת לְכָל־בָּשָׂ֑ר אִ֖ישׁ עַל הָ־עֵדָֽה׃

Ἐπισκεψάσθω Κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκὸς ἄνθρωπον ἐπὶ τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης,

Provídeat Dóminus Deus spirítuum omnis carnis, hóminem, qui sit super multitúdinem hanc:

יפקד יהוה אלהי הרוחות לכל הבשׂר אישׁ על העדה

Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

אֲשֶׁר־יֵצֵ֣א לִפְנֵיהֶ֗ם וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר יָבֹא֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹצִיאֵ֖ם וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר יְבִיאֵ֑ם וְלֹ֤א תִהְיֶה֙ עֲדַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה כַּצֹּ֕אן אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵין לָ־הֶ֖ם רֹעֶֽה׃
17
ὅστις ἐξελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις εἰσελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν, καὶ ὅστις ἐξάξει αὐτοὺς καὶ ὃστις εἰσάξει αὐτούς, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἡ συναγωγὴ Κυρίου ὡσεὶ πρόβατα οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν ποιμήν.

et possit exíre et intráre ante eos, et edúcere eos vel introdúcere: ne sit pópulus Dómini sicut oves absque pastóre.

אשׁר־יצא לפניהם ואשׁר יבוא לפניהם ואשׁר יוציאם ואשׁר יביאם ולא תהיה עדת יהוה כצאן אשׁר אין להם רעה
17
Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה קַח לְ־ךָ֙ אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן־נ֔וּן אִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־ר֣וּחַ בּ֑וֹ וְסָמַכְתָּ֥ אֶת יָדְ־ךָ֖ עָלָֽיו׃
18
καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων Λάβε πρὸς σεαυτὸν τὸν Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν Ναυή, ἄνθρωπον ὃς ἔχει πνεῦμα ἐν ἑαυτῷ, καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰς χεῖράς σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ·

Dixítque Dóminus ad eum: Tolle Iósue fílium Nun, virum in quo est Spíritus, et pone manum tuam super eum.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה קח לך את־יהושׁע בן־נון האישׁ אשׁר רוחו בו וסמכת את ידך עליו

And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom [is] the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;

וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֣ אֹת֗וֹ לִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָּל הָ־עֵדָ֑ה וְצִוִּיתָ֥ה אֹת֖וֹ לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

καὶ στήσεις αὐτὸν ἔναντι Ἐλεαζὰρ τοῦ ἱερέως, καὶ ἐντελῇ αὐτῷ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς, καὶ ἐντελῇ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον αὐτῶν ·

Qui stabit coram Eleázaro sacerdóte et omni multitúdine:

והעמדת אתו לפני אלעזר הכהן ולפני כל העדה וצוית אתו לעיניהם

And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.

וְנָתַתָּ֥ה מֵהֽוֹדְךָ֖ עָלָ֑יו לְמַ֣עַן יִשְׁמְע֔וּ כָּל־עֲדַ֖ת בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

καὶ δώσεις τῆς δόξης σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, ὅπως ἂν εἰσακούσωσιν αὐτοῦ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ.

et dabis ei præcépta cunctis vidéntibus, et partem glóriæ tuæ, ut áudiat eum omnis synagóga filiórum Israel.

ונתתה מהודך עליו ולמען ישׁמעון כל־עדת בני ישׂראל

וְלִפְנֵ֨י אֶלְעָזָ֤ר הַכֹּהֵן֙ יַעֲמֹ֔ד וְשָׁ֥אַל ל֛וֹ בְּמִשְׁפַּ֥ט הָאוּרִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה עַל פִּ֨י־ו יֵצְא֜וּ וְעַל פִּ֣י־ו יָבֹ֗אוּ ה֛וּא וְכָל־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל אִתּ֖וֹ וְכָל הָ־עֵדָֽה׃

καὶ ἔναντι Ἐλεαζὰρ τοῦ ἱερέως στήσεται, καὶ ἐπερωτήσουσιν αὐτὸν τὴν κρίσιν τῶν δήλων ἔναντι Κυρίου · ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσονται καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ εἰσελεύσονται, αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ὁμοθυμαδὸν καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή.

Pro hoc, si quid agéndum erit, Eleázar sacérdos cónsulet Dóminum. Ad verbum eius egrediétur et ingrediétur ipse, et omnes fílii Israel cum eo, et cétera multitúdo.

ולפני אלעזר הכהן יעמד ושׁאל לו במשׁפט הארים לפני יהוה על פיהו יצא ועל פיהו יבוא הוא וכל־בני־ישׂראל אתו וכל העדה

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask [counsel] for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, [both] he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

וַיַּ֣עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֹת֑וֹ וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ וַיַּֽעֲמִדֵ֨הוּ֙ לִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָּל הָ־עֵדָֽה׃

καὶ ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ Κύριος · καὶ λαβὼν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἔστησεν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον Ἐλεαζὰρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς,

Fecit Móyses ut præcéperat Dóminus: cumque tulísset Iósue, státuit eum coram Eleázaro sacerdóte et omni frequéntia pópuli.

ויעשׂ משׁה כאשׁר צוה יהוה אתו ויקח את־יהושׁע ויעמדהו לפני אלעזר הכהן ולפני כל העדה

And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:

וַיִּסְמֹ֧ךְ אֶת יָדָ֛י־ו עָלָ֖יו וַיְצַוֵּ֑הוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ פ

καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, καὶ συνέστησεν αὐτόν, καθάπερ συνέταξεν Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.

Et impósitis cápiti eius mánibus, cuncta replicávit quæ mandáverat Dóminus.

ויסמך את ידו עליו ויצוהו כאשׁר דבר יהוה ביד־משׁה ויאמר אליו עיניך הראות את אשׁר עשׂה יהוה לשׁני המלכים האלה כן יעשׂה יהוה לכל הממלכות אשׁר אתה עבר שׁמה לא תיראם כי יהוה אלהיכם הוא הנלחם לכם

And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
