וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֛ק שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה בֶן־דָּוִ֖יד עַל מַלְכוּת֑־וֹ וַיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהָיו֙ עִמּ֔וֹ וַֽיְגַדְּלֵ֖הוּ לְמָֽעְלָה׃

καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν Σαλωμὼν υἱὸς Δαυεὶδ ἐπὶ τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ Κύριος θεὸς αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμεγάλυνεν αὐτὸν εἰς ὕψος ·

καὶ ἐπορεύθη Σαλωμὼν καὶ πᾶσα ἐκκλησία εἰς τὴν ὑψηλὴν τὴν ἐν Γαβαών, οὗ ἐκεῖ ἦν σκηνὴ τοῦ μαρτυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς παῖς Κυρίου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ.

et ábiit cum univérsa multitúdine in excélsum Gábaon, ubi erat tabernáculum fœ́deris Dei, quod fecit Móyses fámulus Dei in solitúdine.

ἀλλὰ κιβωτὸν τοῦ θεοῦ ἀνήνεγκεν Δαυεὶδ ἐκ πόλεως Καριαθιαρείμ, ὅτι ἡτοίμασεν αὐτῇ σκηνὴν εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ.

καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκοῦν ἐποίησεν Βεσελεὴλ υἱὸς Οὐρείου υἱοῦ Ὣρ ἐκεῖ ἦν ἔναντι τῆς σκηνῆς Κυρίου · καὶ ἐξεζήτησεν αὐτὸ Σαλωμὼν καὶ ἐκκλησία,

καὶ ἤνεγκεν ἐκεῖ Σαλωμὼν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκοῦν ἐνώπιον Κυρίου τὸ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ, ἤνεγκεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ ὁλοκαύτωσιν χιλίαν.

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר שְׁלֹמֹה֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים אַתָּ֗ה עָשִׂ֛יתָ עִם־דָּוִ֥יד אָבִ֖י חֶ֣סֶד גָּד֑וֹל וְהִמְלַכְתַּ֖נִי תַּחְתָּֽיו׃

καὶ εἶπεν Σαλωμὼν πρὸς τὸν θεόν ἐποίησας μετὰ Δαυεὶδ τοῦ πατρός μου ἔλεος μέγα, καὶ ἐβασίλευσάς με ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ.

καὶ νῦν, Κύριε θεός, πιστωθήτω τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπὶ Δαυεὶδ πατέρα μου, ὅτι σὺ ἐβασίλευσάς με ἐπὶ λαὸν πολὺν ὡς χνοῦς τῆς γῆς.

Nunc ergo Dómine Deus, impleátur sermo tuus, quem pollícitus es David patri meo: tu enim me fecísti regem super pópulum tuum multum, qui tam innumerábilis est, quam pulvis terræ.

עַתָּ֗ה חָכְמָ֤ה וּמַדָּע֙ תֶּן לִ֔־י וְאֵֽצְאָ֛ה לִפְנֵ֥י הָֽעָם הַ־זֶּ֖ה וְאָב֑וֹאָה כִּֽי־מִ֣י יִשְׁפֹּ֔ט אֶת עַמְּ־ךָ֥ הַזֶּ֖ה הַגָּדֽוֹל׃ ס

νῦν σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν δός μοι, καὶ ἐξελεύσομαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου καὶ εἰσελεύσομαι · ὅτι τίς κρινεῖ τὸν λαόν σου τὸν μέγαν τοῦτον;

Da mihi sapiéntiam et intelligéntiam, ut ingrédiar et egrédiar coram pópulo tuo: quis enim potest hunc pópulum tuum digne, qui tam grandis est, iudicáre?

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר־אֱלֹהִ֣ים ׀ לִשְׁלֹמֹ֡ה יַ֣עַן אֲשֶׁר֩ הָיְתָ֨ה זֹ֜את עִם לְבָבֶ֗־ךָ וְלֹֽא־שָׁ֠אַלְתָּ עֹ֣שֶׁר נְכָסִ֤ים וְכָבוֹד֙ וְאֵת֙ נֶ֣פֶשׁ שֹׂנְאֶ֔יךָ וְגַם־יָמִ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים לֹ֣א שָׁאָ֑לְתָּ וַתִּֽשְׁאַל לְ־ךָ֙ חָכְמָ֣ה וּמַדָּ֔ע אֲשֶׁ֤ר תִּשְׁפּוֹט֙ אֶת עַמִּ֔־י אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִמְלַכְתִּ֖יךָ עָלָֽיו׃

καὶ εἶπεν θεὸς πρὸς Σαλωμών Ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐγένετο τοῦτο ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου, καὶ οὐκ ᾐτήσω πλοῦτον χρημάτων οὐδὲ δόξαν οὐδὲ τὴν ψυχὴν τῶν ὑπεναντίων, καὶ ἡμέρας πολλὰς οὐκ ᾐτήσω, καὶ ᾔτησας σεαυτῷ σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν ὅπως κρίνῃς τὸν λαόν μου ἐφ᾽ ὃν ἐβασίλευσά σε ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ·

Dixit autem Deus ad Salomónem: Quia hoc magis plácuit cordi tuo, et non postulásti divítias, et substántiam, et glóriam, neque ánimas eórum qui te óderant, sed nec dies vitæ plúrimos: petísti autem sapiéntiam et sciéntiam, ut iudicáre possis pópulum meum, super quem constítui te regem:

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

הַֽחָכְמָ֥ה וְהַמַּדָּ֖ע נָת֣וּן לָ֑ךְ וְעֹ֨שֶׁר וּנְכָסִ֤ים וְכָבוֹד֙ אֶתֶּן לָ֔־ךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ לֹא־הָ֣יָה כֵ֗ן לַמְּלָכִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְפָנֶ֔יךָ וְאַחֲרֶ֖יךָ לֹ֥א יִֽהְיֶה־כֵּֽן׃

τὴν σοφίαν καὶ τὴν σύνεσιν δίδωμί σοι, καὶ πλοῦτον καὶ χρήματα καὶ δόξαν δώσω σοι, ὡς οὐκ ἐγενήθη ὅμοιός σοι ἐν τοῖς βασιλεῦσι τοῖς ἔμπροσθέ σου, καὶ μετὰ σὲ οὐκ ἔσται οὕτως.

Καὶ συνήγαγεν Σαλωμὼν ἅρματα καὶ ἱππεῖς, καὶ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ χίλια καὶ τετρακόσια ἅρματα καὶ δώδεκα χιλιάδες ἱππέων · καὶ κατέλιπεν αὐτὰ ἐν πόλεσιν τῶν ἁρμάτων, λαὸς μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ.

καὶ ἔθηκεν βασιλεὺς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ ὡς λίθους, καὶ τὰς κέδρους ἐν τῇ Ἰουδαίᾳ ὡς συκαμίνους τὰς ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ εἰς πλῆθος.

καὶ ἔξοδος τῶν ἱππέων τῷ Σαλωμὼν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου, καὶ τιμὴ τῶν ἐμπόρων τοῦ βασιλέως · πορεύεσθαι ἠγόραζον.

καὶ ἐνέβαινον καὶ ἐξῆγον ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἅρμα ἓν ἑξακοσίων ἀργυρίου, καὶ ἵππον ἑκατὸν καὶ πεντήκοντα · καὶ οὕτως πᾶσιν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν τῶν Χετταίων καὶ βασιλεῦσιν Συρίας ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν ἔφερον.
