וַיִּקְח֞וּ כָּל־עַ֤ם יְהוּדָה֙ אֶת־עֻזִּיָּ֔הוּ וְה֕וּא בֶּן־שֵׁ֥שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה שָׁנָ֑ה וַיַּמְלִ֣יכוּ אֹת֔וֹ תַּ֖חַת אָבִ֥יו אֲמַצְיָֽהוּ׃

Καὶ ἔλαβεν πᾶς λαὸς τῆς γῆς τὸν Ὀχοζείαν, καὶ αὐτὸς δέκα καὶ ἓξ ἐτῶν, καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν αὐτὸν ἀντὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ Ἀμασείου.

αὐτὸς ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Αἰλάθ, αὐτὸς ἐπέστρεψεν αὐτὴν τῷ Ἰούδᾳ μετὰ τὸ κοιμηθῆναι τὸν βασιλέα μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ.

καὶ ἦν ἐκζητῶν τὸν κύριον ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἡμέραις Ζαχαρίου τοῦ συνιόντος ἐν φόβῳ Κυρίου, καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτοῦ ἐζήτησεν τὸν κύριον, καὶ εὐόδωσεν αὐτῷ Κύριος.

καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Ὀζείας πύργους ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν πύλην τῆς γωνίας καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν πύλην γωνίας τῆς φάραγγος καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν γωνιῶν καὶ κατίσχυσεν.

καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν πύργους ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, καὶ ἐλατόμησεν λάκκους πολλούς, ὅτι κτήνη πολλὰ ὑπῆρχεν αὐτῷ ἐν Σεφηλὰ καὶ ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ καὶ ἀμπελουργοὶ ἐν τῇ ὀρεινῇ καὶ ἐν τῷ Καρμήλῳ, ὅτι γεωργὸς ἦν.

Exstrúxit étiam turres in solitúdine, et effódit cistérnas plúrimas, eo quod habéret multa pécora, tam in campéstribus, quam in erémi vastitáte: víneas quoque hábuit et vinitóres in móntibus, et in Carmélo: erat quippe homo agricultúræ déditus.

וַיְהִ֣י לְעֻזִּיָּ֡הוּ חַיִל֩ עֹשֵׂ֨ה מִלְחָמָ֜ה יוֹצְאֵ֧י צָבָ֣א לִגְד֗וּד בְּמִסְפַּר֙ פְּקֻדָּתָ֔ם בְּיַד֙ יעואל הַסּוֹפֵ֔ר וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֖הוּ הַשּׁוֹטֵ֑ר עַ֚ל יַד־חֲנַנְיָ֔הוּ מִשָּׂרֵ֖י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

καὶ ἐγένετο Ὀζείᾳ δυνάμεις ποιοῦσαι πόλεμον καὶ ἐκπορευόμεναι εἰς παράταξιν εἰς ἀριθμόν · καὶ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν διὰ χειρὸς Ἰειὴλ τοῦ γραμματέως καὶ Ἀμασαίου τοῦ κριτοῦ, διὰ χειρὸς Ἁνανίου τοῦ διαδόχου τοῦ βασιλέως.

καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ μηχανὰς μεμηχανευμένας λογιστοῦ, τοῦ εἶναι ἐπὶ τῶν πύργων καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν γωνιῶν βάλλειν βέλεσιν καὶ λίθοις μεγάλοις · καὶ ἠκούσθη κατασκευὴ αὐτῶν ἕως πόρρω, ὅτι ἐθαυμαστώθη τοῦ βοηθηθῆναι ἕως οὗ κατίσχυσεν.

Et fecit in Ierúsalem divérsi géneris máchinas, quas in túrribus collocávit, et in ángulis murórum, ut mítterent sagíttas, et saxa grándia: egressúmque est nomen eius procul, eo quod auxiliarétur ei Dóminus, et corroborásset illum.

וּכְחֶזְקָת֗וֹ גָּבַ֤הּ לִבּוֹ֙ עַד לְ־הַשְׁחִ֔ית וַיִּמְעַ֖ל בַּיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו וַיָּבֹא֙ אֶל־הֵיכַ֣ל יְהוָ֔ה לְהַקְטִ֖יר עַל־מִזְבַּ֥ח הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃

Καὶ ὡς κατίσχυσεν, ὑψώθη καρδία αὐτοῦ τοῦ καταφθεῖραι · καὶ ἠδίκησεν ἐν Κυρίῳ θεῷ αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν ναὸν Κυρίου θυμιᾶσαι ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν θυμιαμάτων.

καὶ είσῆλθεν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ Ἀζαρίας ἱερεύς, καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἱερεῖς τοῦ κυρίου ὀγδοήκοντα υἱοὶ δυνατοί.

וַיַּעַמְד֞וּ עַל־עֻזִּיָּ֣הוּ הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וַיֹּ֤אמְרוּ לוֹ֙ לֹא לְ־ךָ֣ עֻזִּיָּ֗הוּ לְהַקְטִיר֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה כִּ֣י לַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים בְּנֵי־אַהֲרֹ֛ן הַמְקֻדָּשִׁ֖ים לְהַקְטִ֑יר צֵ֤א מִן הַ־מִּקְדָּשׁ֙ כִּ֣י מָעַ֔לְתָּ וְלֹֽא לְ־ךָ֥ לְכָב֖וֹד מֵיְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃

καὶ ἔστησαν ἐπὶ Ὀζείαν τὸν βασιλέα καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ οὐ σοί, Ὀζεία, θῦσαι Κυρίῳ, ἀλλ᾽ τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν υἱοῖς Ἀαρὼν τοῖς ἡγιασμένοις θῦσαι · ἔξελθε ἐκ τοῦ ἁγιάσματος, ὅτι ἀπέστης ἀπὸ Κυρίου · καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σοι τοῦτο εἰς δόξαν παρὰ Κυρίου θεοῦ.

And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, [It appertaineth] not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither [shall it be] for thine honour from the LORD God.

וַיִּזְעַף֙ עֻזִּיָּ֔הוּ וּבְיָד֥וֹ מִקְטֶ֖רֶת לְהַקְטִ֑יר וּבְזַעְפּ֣וֹ עִם הַ־כֹּהֲנִ֗ים וְ֠הַצָּרַעַת זָרְחָ֨ה בְמִצְח֜וֹ לִפְנֵ֤י הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ בְּבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה מֵעַ֖ל לְמִזְבַּ֥ח הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃

καὶ ἐθυμώθη Ὀζείας, καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸ θυμιατήριον τοῦ θυμιᾶσαι ἐν τῷ ναῷ · ἐν τῷ θυμωθῆναι αὐτὸν πρὸς τοὺς ἱερεῖς, καὶ λέπρα ἀνέτειλεν ἐν τῷ μετώπῳ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον τῶν ἱερέων ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου καὶ ἐπάνω τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τῶν θυμιαμάτων.

וַיִּ֣פֶן אֵלָ֡יו עֲזַרְיָהוּ֩ כֹהֵ֨ן הָרֹ֜אשׁ וְכָל הַ־כֹּהֲנִ֗ים וְהִנֵּה־ה֤וּא מְצֹרָע֙ בְּמִצְח֔וֹ וַיַּבְהִל֖וּהוּ מִשָּׁ֑ם וְגַם־הוּא֙ נִדְחַ֣ף לָצֵ֔את כִּ֥י נִגְּע֖וֹ יְהוָֽה׃

καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἱερεὺς πρῶτος καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς, καὶ ἰδοὺ αὐτὸς λεπρὸς ἐν τῷ μετώπῳ · καὶ κατέσπευσαν αὐτὸν ἐκεῖθεν, καὶ γὰρ αὐτὸς ἔσπευσεν ἐξελθεῖν, ὅτι ἤλεγξεν αὐτὸν Κύριος.

Cumque respexísset eum Azarías póntifex, et omnes réliqui sacerdótes, vidérunt lepram in fronte eius, et festináto expulérunt eum. Sed et ipse pertérritus, accelerávit égredi, eo quod sensísset íllico plagam Dómini.
