בִּשְׁנַ֣ת אַחַ֗ת לְדָרְיָ֛וֶשׁ בֶּן־אֲחַשְׁוֵר֖וֹשׁ מִזֶּ֣רַע מָדָ֑י אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָמְלַ֔ךְ עַ֖ל מַלְכ֥וּת כַּשְׂדִּֽים׃

καὶ προσηυξάμην πρὸς Κύριον τὸν θεόν · ἐξωμολογησάμην καὶ εἶπα Ἰδού, κύριε, σὺ εἶ θεὸς μέγας καὶ ἰσχυρὸς καὶ φοβερός, τηρῶν τὴν διαθήκην καὶ τὸ ἔλεος τοῖς ἀγαπῶσί σε καὶ τοῖς φυλάσσουσι τὰ προστάγματά σου ·

σοί, κύριε, δικαιοσύνη, καὶ ἡμῖν αἰσχύνη τοῦ προσώπου, κατὰ τὴν ἡμέραν ταύτην, ἀνθρώποις Ἰούδα καὶ καθημένοις ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ παντὶ τῷ λαῷ Ἰσραήλ, τῷ ἔγγιστα καὶ τῷ ἀπωτέρω ἐν πάσαις ταῖς χώραις εἰς ἃς διεσκόρπισας αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ ἐν τῇ πλημμελείᾳ ἐπλημμέλησαν ἐναντίον σου ·

Tibi Dómine iustítia: nobis autem confúsio faciéi, sicut est hódie viro Iuda, et habitatóribus Ierúsalem, et omni Israel, his qui prope sunt, et his qui procul in univérsis terris, ad quas eiecísti eos propter iniquitátes eórum, in quibus peccavérunt in te.

καὶ πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ ἐγκατέλιπε τὸν νὸμον σου καὶ ἀπέστησαν τοῦ μὴ ἀκοῦσαι τῆς φωνῆς σου · καὶ ἐπῆλθεν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς κατάρα καὶ ὅρκος γεγραμμένος ἐν τῷ νόμῳ Μωσῆ παιδὸς τοῦ θεοῦ · ὅτι ἡμάρτομεν αὐτῷ ·

Et omnis Israel prævaricáti sunt legem tuam, et declinavérunt ne audírent vocem tuam: et stillávit super nos maledíctio, et detestátio, quæ scripta est in libro Móysi servi Dei, quia peccávimus ei.

καὶ ἔστησεν ἡμῖν τὰ προστάγματα αὐτοῦ, ὅσα ἐλάλησεν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κριτὰς ἡμῶν, ὅσα ἔκρινας ἡμῖν ἐπαγαγεῖν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς, κακὰ μεγάλα, οἷα οὐκ ἐγενήθη ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανὸν καθότι ἐγενήθη ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ ·
