בָּעֵ֨ת הַהִ֜וא אָמַ֧ר יְהוָ֣ה אֵלַ֗י פְּסָל לְ־ךָ֞ שְׁנֵֽי־לֻוחֹ֤ת אֲבָנִים֙ כָּרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים וַעֲלֵ֥ה אֵלַ֖י הָהָ֑רָה וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ לְּךָ֖ אֲר֥וֹן עֵֽץ׃

Ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ εἶπεν Κύριος πρὸς μέ Λάξευσον σεαυτῷ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας ὥσπερ τὰς πρώτας, καὶ ἀνάβηθι πρὸς μὲ εἰς τὸ ὄρος, καὶ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ κιβωτὸν ξυλίνην ·

In témpore illo dixit Dóminus ad me: Dola tibi duas tábulas lapídeas, sicut prióres fuérunt, et ascénde ad me in montem: faciésque arcam lígneam,

בעת ההיא אמר יהוה אלי פסל לך שׁני־לוחת אבנים כראישׁונים ועלה אלי ההרה ועשׂית לך ארון עץ
1
At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

וְאֶכְתֹּב֙ עַל הַ־לֻּחֹ֔ת אֶת הַ־דְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָי֛וּ עַל הַ־לֻּחֹ֥ת הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר שִׁבַּ֑רְתָּ וְשַׂמְתָּ֖ם בָּאָרֽוֹן׃

καὶ γράψεις ἐπὶ τὰς πλάκας τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἦν ἐν ταῖς πλαξὶν ταῖς πρώταις ἃς συνέτριψας, ἐμβαλεῖς αὐτὰ εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν.

et scribam in tábulis verba quæ fuérunt in his, quas ante confregísti, ponésque eas in arca.

ואכתבה על הלוחות את הדברים אשׁר היו על הלוחות הראישׁונים אשׁר שׁברת ושׂמתם בארון

And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.

וָאַ֤עַשׂ אֲרוֹן֙ עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֔ים וָאֶפְסֹ֛ל שְׁנֵי־לֻחֹ֥ת אֲבָנִ֖ים כָּרִאשֹׁנִ֑ים וָאַ֣עַל הָהָ֔רָה וּשְׁנֵ֥י הַלֻּחֹ֖ת בְּיָדִֽי׃

καὶ ἐποίησα κιβωτὸν ἐκ ξύλων ἀσήπτων, καὶ ἐλάξευσα τὰς πλάκας λιθίνας ὡς αἱ πρῶται, καὶ ἀνέβην εἰς τὸ ὄρος, καὶ αἱ δύο πλάκες ἐπὶ ταῖς χερσίν μου.

Feci ígitur arcam de lignis setim. Cumque dolássem duas tábulas lapídeas instar priórum, ascéndi in montem, habens eas in mánibus.

ואעשׂה ארון עצי שׁטים ואפסלה שׁני לוחת אבנים כראישׁונים ואעלה ההרה ושׁני הלוחות בידי

And I made an ark [of] shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.

וַיִּכְתֹּ֨ב עַֽל הַ־לֻּחֹ֜ת כַּמִּכְתָּ֣ב הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן אֵ֚ת עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּר֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֲלֵיכֶ֥ם בָּהָ֛ר מִתּ֥וֹךְ הָאֵ֖שׁ בְּי֣וֹם הַקָּהָ֑ל וַיִּתְּנֵ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה אֵלָֽי׃

καὶ ἔγραψεν ἐπὶ τὰς πλάκας κατὰ τὴν γραφὴν τὴν πρώτην τοὺς δέκα λόγους, οὓς ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν τῷ ὄρει ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός, ἔδωκεν αὐτὰς Κύριος ἐμοί.

Scripsítque in tábulis, iuxta id quod prius scrípserat, verba decem, quæ locútus est Dóminus ad vos in monte de médio ignis, quando pópulus congregátus est: et dedit eas mihi.

ויכתב על הלוחות כמכתב הראישׁון את עשׂרת הדברים אשׁר דבר יהוה עליכם בהר מתוך האשׁ ביום הקהל ויתנם יהוה אלי
4
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.

וָאֵ֗פֶן וָֽאֵרֵד֙ מִן הָ־הָ֔ר וָֽאָשִׂם֙ אֶת הַ־לֻּחֹ֔ת בָּאָר֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֑יתִי וַיִּ֣הְיוּ שָׁ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוַּ֖נִי יְהוָֽה׃
5
καὶ ἐπιστρέψας κατέβην ἐκ τοῦ ὄρους, καὶ ἐνέβαλον τὰς πλάκας εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν ἣν ἐποίησα, καὶ ἦσαν ἐκεῖ καθὰ ἐνετείλατό μοι Κύριος.

Reversúsque de monte, descéndi, et pósui tábulas in arcam, quam féceram, quæ hucúsque ibi sunt, sicut mihi præcépit Dóminus.

ואפנה וארדה מן ההר ואשׂימה את הלוחות בארון אשׁר עשׂיתי ויהיו שׁם כאשׁר צוני יהוה

And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.

וּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל נָֽסְע֛וּ מִבְּאֵרֹ֥ת בְּנֵי־יַעֲקָ֖ן מוֹסֵרָ֑ה שָׁ֣ם מֵ֤ת אַהֲרֹן֙ וַיִּקָּבֵ֣ר שָׁ֔ם וַיְכַהֵ֛ן אֶלְעָזָ֥ר בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃

καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Βηρὼθ υἱῶν Ἰακεὶμ Μεισαδαί · ἐκεῖ ἀπέθανεν Ἀαρὼν καὶ ἐτάφη ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἱεράτευσεν Ἐλεαζὰρ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ.

Fílii autem Israel movérunt castra ex Beroth filiórum Iacan in Moséra, ubi Aaron mórtuus ac sepúltus est, pro quo sacerdótio functus est Eleázar fílius eius.

ובני ישׂראל נסעו ממסרות ויחנו בבני יעקן
6
And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest ’s office in his stead.

מִשָּׁ֥ם נָסְע֖וּ הַגֻּדְגֹּ֑דָה וּמִן הַגֻּדְגֹּ֣דָ־ה יָטְבָ֔תָה אֶ֖רֶץ נַ֥חֲלֵי מָֽיִם׃

ἐκεῖθεν ἀπῆραν εἰς Γαδγάδ, καὶ ἀπὸ Γαδγὰδ εἰς Ταιβάθα · γῆ χείμαρροι ὑδάτων.

Inde venérunt in Gadgad: de quo loco profécti, castrametáti sunt in Ietébatha, in terra aquárum atque torréntium.

משׁם נסעו ויחנו הגדגדה משׁם נסעו ויחנו ביטבתה ארץ נחלי מים משׁם נסעו ויחנו בעברנה משׁם נסעו ויחנו בעציונ גבר משׁם נסעו ויחנו במדבר צן היא קדשׁ משׁם נסעו ויחנו בהר ההר וימת שׁם אהרן ויקבר שׁם ויכהן אלעזר בנו תחתיו

From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.

בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֗וא הִבְדִּ֤יל יְהוָה֙ אֶת־שֵׁ֣בֶט הַלֵּוִ֔י לָשֵׂ֖את אֶת־אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָ֑ה לַעֲמֹד֩ לִפְנֵ֨י יְהוָ֤ה לְשָֽׁרְתוֹ֙ וּלְבָרֵ֣ךְ בִּשְׁמ֔וֹ עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ διέστειλεν Κύριος τὴν φυλὴν τὴν Λευεὶ αἴρειν τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης Κυρίου, παρεστάναι ἔναντι Κυρίου, λειτουργεῖν καὶ ἐπεύχεσθαι ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης.

Eo témpore separávit tribum Levi, ut portáret arcam fœ́deris Dómini, et staret coram eo in ministério, ac benedíceret in nómine illíus usque in præséntem diem.

בעת ההיא הבדיל יהוה את־שׁבט הלוי לשׂאת את־ארון ברית־יהוה לעמד לפני יהוה לשׁרתו ולברך בשׁמו עד היום הזה
8
At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.

עַל־כֵּ֞ן לֹֽא־הָיָ֧ה לְלֵוִ֛י חֵ֥לֶק וְנַחֲלָ֖ה עִם אֶחָ֑י־ו יְהוָה֙ ה֣וּא נַחֲלָת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֶּ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לֽוֹ׃

διὰ τοῦτο οὐκ ἔστιν τοῖς Λευείταις μερὶς καὶ κλῆρος ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτῶν · Κύριος αὐτὸς κλῆρος αὐτοῦ, καθότι εἶπεν αὐτῷ.

Quam ob rem non hábuit Levi partem, neque possessiónem cum frátribus suis: quia ipse Dóminus posséssio eius est, sicut promísit ei Dóminus Deus tuus.

על־כן לא־היה ללוי חלק ונחלה עם אחיו יהוה הוא נחלתו כאשׁר דבר יהוה אלהיך לו
9
Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD [is] his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.

על־כן לוא היה ללוי חלק] ונחלה[ עם אחי׳ו יהוה הואה נחלת׳ו כאשר דבר יהוה אלוהי׳כה ל׳ו ׃

וְאָנֹכִ֞י עָמַ֣דְתִּי בָהָ֗ר כַּיָּמִים֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים לָ֑יְלָה וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע יְהוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י גַּ֚ם בַּפַּ֣עַם הַהִ֔וא לֹא־אָבָ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה הַשְׁחִיתֶֽךָ׃

κἀγὼ κἀγὼ ἱστήκειν ἐν τῷ ὄρει τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσεράκοντα νύκτας, ἤκουσεν Κύριος ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τούτῳ, καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν Κύριος ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ὑμᾶς.

Ego autem steti in monte, sicut prius, quadragínta diébus ac nóctibus: exaudivítque me Dóminus étiam hac vice, et te perdere nóluit.

ואנכי עמדתי בהר כימים הראישׁונים ארבעים יום וארבעים לילה וישׁמע יהוה אלי גם בפעם ההוא ולא־אבה יהוה השׁחיתך
10
And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, [and] the LORD would not destroy thee.

ואנוכי עמדתי] בהר[ כימים הראשונים ארבעים יום וארבעים לילה וישמע יהוה אל׳י גם בפעם] ההי?אה ו?[לוא אבה יהוה השחית׳כה ׃

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י ק֛וּם לֵ֥ךְ לְמַסַּ֖ע לִפְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וְיָבֹ֨אוּ֙ וְיִֽרְשׁ֣וּ אֶת הָ־אָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתִּי לַאֲבֹתָ֖ם לָתֵ֥ת לָהֶֽם׃ פ

καὶ εἶπεν Κύριος πρὸς μέ Βάδιζε, ἄπαρον ἐναντίον τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου, καὶ εἰσπορευέσθωσαν καὶ κληρονομείτωσαν τὴν γῆν ἣν ὤμοσα τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν δοῦναι αὐτοῖς.

Dixítque mihi: Vade, et præcéde pópulum, ut ingrediátur, et possídeat terram, quam iurávi pátribus eórum ut tráderem eis.

ויאמר יהוה אלי קום לך למסע לפני העם הזה ויבאו ויירשׁו את הארץ אשׁר־נשׁבעתי לאבותם לתת להם
11
And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take [thy] journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.

Καὶ νῦν, Ἰσραήλ, τί Κύριος ὁ θεός σου αἰτεῖται παρὰ σοῦ ἀλλ᾽ ἢ φοβεῖσθαι Κύριον τὸν θεόν σου, καὶ πορεύεσθαι ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀγαπᾷν αὐτόν, καὶ λατρεύειν Κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς σου,

Et nunc Israel, quid Dóminus Deus tuus petit a te, nisi ut tímeas Dóminum Deum tuum, et ámbules in viis eius, et díligas eum, ac sérvias Dómino Deo tuo in toto corde tuo, et in tota ánima tua:

ועתה ישׂראל מה יהוה אלהיך שׁאל מעמך כי אם ליראה את־יהוה אלהיך ללכת בכל דרכיו ולאהבה אתו ולעבד את־יהוה אלהיך בכל לבבך ובכל נפשׁך

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

φυλάσσεσθαι τὰς ἐντολὰς Κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, ἵνα εὖ σοι ᾖ?

custodiásque mandáta Dómini, et cæremónias eius, quas ego hódie præcípio tibi, ut bene sit tibi?

ולשׁמר את־מצות יהוה אלהיך ואת חקתיו אשׁר אנכי מצוך היום לטוב לך
13
To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

הֵ֚ן לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וּשְׁמֵ֣י הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם הָאָ֖רֶץ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר בָּֽ־הּ׃

ἰδοὺ Κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, ἡ γῆ καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ ·

En Dómini Dei tui cælum est, et cælum cæli, terra, et ómnia quæ in ea sunt:

הן ליהוה אלהיך השׁמים ושׁמי השׁמים הארץ וכל־אשׁר בה
14
Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens [is] the LORD ’S thy God, the earth [also], with all that therein [is].

רַ֧ק בַּאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ חָשַׁ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה לְאַהֲבָ֣ה אוֹתָ֑ם וַיִּבְחַ֞ר בְּזַרְעָ֣ם אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם בָּכֶ֛ם מִכָּל הָ־עַמִּ֖ים כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּה׃

πλὴν τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν προείλατο Κύριος ἀγαπᾷν αὐτούς, καὶ ἐξελέξατο τὸ σπέρμα αὐτῶν μετ᾽ αὐτοὺς ὑμᾶς παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη κατὰ τὴν ἡμέραν ταύτην.

et tamen pátribus tuis conglutinátus est Dóminus, et amávit eos, elegítque semen eórum post eos, id est vos, de cunctis géntibus, sicut hódie comprobátur.

רק באבתיך חשׁק יהוה לאהבה אתם ויבחר בזרעם אחריהם בכם מכל העמים כיום הזה
15
Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, [even] you above all people, as [it is] this day.

וּמַלְתֶּ֕ם אֵ֖ת עָרְלַ֣ת לְבַבְכֶ֑ם וְעָ֨רְפְּכֶ֔ם לֹ֥א תַקְשׁ֖וּ עֽוֹד׃

καὶ περιτεμεῖσθε τὴν σκληροκαρδίαν ὑμῶν, καὶ τὸν τράχηλον ὑμῶν οὐ σκληρυνεῖτε ·

Circumcídite ígitur præpútium cordis vestri, et cervícem vestram ne indurétis ámplius:

ומלתם את ערלת לבבכם וערפכם לא תקשׁו עוד

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

ὁ γὰρ Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν, οὗτος θεὸς τῶν θεῶν καὶ κύριος τῶν κυρίων, ὁ θεὸς ὁ μέγας καὶ ἰσχυρὸς καὶ ὁ φοβερός, ὅστις οὐ θαυμάζει πρόσωπον οὐδ᾽ οὐ μὴ λάβῃ δῶρον ·

quia Dóminus Deus vester ipse est Deus deórum, et Dóminus dominántium, Deus magnus, et potens, et terríbilis, qui persónam non áccipit, nec múnera.

כי יהוה אלהיכם הוא אלהי האלהים ואדון האדונים האל הגדול והגיבור והנורא אשׁר לא־ישׂא פנים ולא יקח שׁחד

Facit iudícium pupíllo et víduæ, amat peregrínum, et dat ei victum atque vestítum.
