καὶ εἶπεν Ἀποστρέψω τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν, καὶ δείξω τί ἔσται αὐτοῖς ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων ἡμερῶν. ὅτι γενεὰ ἐξεστραμμένη ἐστίν, υἱοὶ οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν πίστις ἐν αὐτοῖς.

Et ait: Abscóndam fáciem meam ab eis, et considerábo novíssima eórum: generátio enim pervérsa est, et infidéles fílii.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end [shall be]: for they [are] a very froward generation, children in whom [is] no faith.

αὐτοὶ παρεζήλωσάν με ἐπ᾽ οὐ θεῷ, παρώξυνάν με ἐν τοῖς εἰδώλοις αὐτῶν · κἀγὼ παραζηλώσω αὐτοὺς ἐπ᾽ οὐκ ἔθνει, ἐπ᾽ ἔθνει ἀσυνέτῳ παροργιῶ αὐτούς.

Ipsi me provocavérunt in eo, qui non erat Deus, et irritavérunt in vanitátibus suis: et ego provocábo eos in eo, qui non est pópulus, et in gente stulta irritábo illos.

הם קנאוני בלא־אל כעסוני באבליהם ואני אקניאם בלא־עם בגוי נבל אכעיסם

They have moved me to jealousy with [that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with [those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

ὅτι πῦρ ἐκκέκαυται ἐκ τοῦ θυμοῦ μου, καυθήσεται ἕως ᾅδου κάτω · καταφάγεται γῆν καὶ τὰ γενήματα αὐτῆς, φλέξει θεμέλια ὀρέων.

Ignis succénsus est in furóre meo, et ardébit usque ad inférni novíssima: devorabítque terram cum gérmine suo, et móntium fundaménta combúret.

כי־אשׁ קדחה באפי ותוקד עד שׁאל תחתית תאכל ארץ ויבולה תלחט מוסדי הרים

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

[They shall be] burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
