וְעַתָּ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל שְׁמַ֤ע אֶל הַֽ־חֻקִּים֙ וְאֶל הַ־מִּשְׁפָּטִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָֽנֹכִ֛י מְלַמֵּ֥ד אֶתְכֶ֖ם לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת לְמַ֣עַן תִּֽחְי֗וּ וּבָאתֶם֙ וִֽירִשְׁתֶּ֣ם אֶת הָ־אָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם נֹתֵ֥ן לָכֶֽם׃

Καὶ νῦν, Ἰσραήλ, ἄκουε τῶν δικαιωμάτων καὶ τῶν κριμάτων, ὅσα ἐγὼ διδάσκω ὑμᾶς σήμερον ποιεῖν, ἵνα ζῆτε καὶ πολυπλασιασθῆτε, καὶ εἰσελθόντες κληρονομήσητε τὴν γῆν ἣν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν.

Et nunc Israel audi præcépta et iudícia, quæ ego dóceo te: ut fáciens ea, vivas, et ingrédiens possídeas terram, quam Dóminus Deus patrum vestrórum datúrus est vobis.

ועתה ישׂראל שׁמע אל החקים ואל המשׁפטים אשׁר אנכי מלמד אתכם לעשׂות למען תחיון ובאתם וירשׁתם את הארץ אשׁר יהוה אלהי אבתיכם נתן לכם

Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do [them], that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.

[ועתה ישראל שמע אל החקים ואל המשפטים אשר אנכי] [מלמד את׳כם לע]ש#ות למ#[ען תחיו ובאתם וירשתם את] [הארץ אשר יהוה ]א#להי? [אבתי׳כם נתן ל׳כם ε ׃

לֹ֣א תֹסִ֗פוּ עַל הַ־דָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר אָנֹכִי֙ מְצַוֶּ֣ה אֶתְכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א תִגְרְע֖וּ מִמֶּ֑נּוּ לִשְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת־מִצְוֺת֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָנֹכִ֖י מְצַוֶּ֥ה אֶתְכֶֽם׃

οὐ προσθήσεσθε πρὸς τὸ ῥῆμα ὃ ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν, καὶ οὐκ ἀφελεῖτε ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ · φυλάσσεσθε τὰς ἐντολὰς Κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν σήμερον.

Non addétis ad verbum, quod vobis loquor, nec auferétis ex eo: custodíte mandáta Dómini Dei vestri, quæ ego præcípio vobis.

לא תוסיפו על הדבר אשׁר אנכי מצוה אתכם היום ולא תגרעו ממנו לשׁמר את־מצות יהוה אלהיכם אשׁר אנכי מצוה אתכם

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish [ought] from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

עֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ הָֽרֹאֹ֔ת אֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה בְּבַ֣עַל פְּע֑וֹר כִּ֣י כָל הָ־אִ֗ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֤ר הָלַךְ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י בַֽעַל־פְּע֔וֹר הִשְׁמִיד֛וֹ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃

οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ἑωράκασιν πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τῷ Βεελφεγώρ, ὅτι πᾶς ἄνθρωπος ὅστις ἐπορεύθη ὀπίσω Βεελφεγώρ, ἐξέτριψεν αὐτὸν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ἐξ ἡμῶν ·

Oculi vestri vidérunt ómnia quæ fecit Dóminus contra Beélphegor, quómodo contríverit omnes cultóres eius de médio vestri.

עיניכם הראות את אשׁר־עשׂה יהוה בבעל פעור כי כל האישׁ אשׁר הלך אחרי בעל פעור השׁמידו יהוה אלהיך מקרבך

Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

וְאַתֶּם֙ הַדְּבֵקִ֔ים בַּיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם חַיִּ֥ים כֻּלְּכֶ֖ם הַיּֽוֹם׃

ὑμεῖς δὲ οἱ προσκείμενοι Κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν ζῆτε πάντες ἐν τῇ σήμερον.

Vos autem qui adhærétis Dómino Deo vestro, vívitis univérsi usque in præséntem diem.

ואתם הדביקים ביהוה אלהיכם חיים כלכם היום

But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God [are] alive every one of you this day.

רְאֵ֣ה ׀ לִמַּ֣דְתִּי אֶתְכֶ֗ם חֻקִּים֙ וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֔ים כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוַּ֖נִי יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑י לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת כֵּ֔ן בְּקֶ֣רֶב הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֛ם בָּאִ֥ים שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃

ἴδετε δέδειχα ὑμῖν δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις καθὰ ἐνετείλατό μοι Κύριος, ποιῆσαι οὕτως ἐν τῇ γῇ εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομεῖν αὐτήν ·

Scitis quod docúerim vos præcépta atque iustítias, sicut mandávit mihi Dóminus Deus meus: sic faciétis ea in terra, quam possessúri estis:

ראו למדתי אתכם חקים ומשׁפטים כאשׁר צוני יהוה אלהי לעשׂות כן בקרב הארץ אשׁר אתם באים שׁמה לרשׁתה

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֮ וַעֲשִׂיתֶם֒ כִּ֣י הִ֤וא חָכְמַתְכֶם֙ וּבִ֣ינַתְכֶ֔ם לְעֵינֵ֖י הָעַמִּ֑ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִשְׁמְע֗וּן אֵ֚ת כָּל הַ־חֻקִּ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וְאָמְר֗וּ רַ֚ק עַם־חָכָ֣ם וְנָב֔וֹן הַגּ֥וֹי הַגָּד֖וֹל הַזֶּֽה׃

καὶ φυλάξεσθε καὶ ποιήσετε, ὅτι αὕτη ἡ σοφία ὑμῶν καὶ ἡ σύνεσις ἐναντίον πάντων ἐθνῶν, ὅσοι ἐὰν ἀκούσωσιν πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταῦτα καὶ ἐροῦσιν Ἰδοὺ λαὸς σοφὸς καὶ ἐπιστήμων τὸ ἔθνος τὸ μέγα τοῦτο.

et observábitis et implébitis ópere. Hæc est enim vestra sapiéntia, et intelléctus coram pópulis, ut audiéntes univérsa præcépta hæc, dicant: En pópulus sápiens et intélligens, gens magna.

ושׁמרתם ועשׂיתם כי היא חכמתכם ובינתכם לעיני העמים אשׁר ישׁמעו את כל החקים האלה ואמרו רק עם חכום ונבון הגוי הגדול הזה

Keep therefore and do [them]; for this [is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation [is] a wise and understanding people.

כִּ֚י מִי־ג֣וֹי גָּד֔וֹל אֲשֶׁר ל֥־וֹ אֱלֹהִ֖ים קְרֹבִ֣ים אֵלָ֑יו כַּיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ בְּכָּל קָרְאֵ֖־נוּ אֵלָֽיו׃

ὅτι ποῖον ἔθνος μέγα ᾧ ἐστιν αὐτῷ θεὸς ἐγγίζων αὐτοῖς ὡς Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς ἐὰν αὐτὸν ἐπικαλεσώμεθα?

Nec est ália nátio tam grandis, quæ hábeat deos appropinquántes sibi, sicut Deus noster adest cunctis obsecratiónibus nostris.

כי מי־גוי גדול אשׁר לו אלהים קרובים אליו כיהוה אלהינו בכל קראנו אליו

For what nation [is there so] great, who [hath] God [so] nigh unto them, as the LORD our God [is] in all [things that] we call upon him [for]?

וּמִי֙ גּ֣וֹי גָּד֔וֹל אֲשֶׁר ל֛־וֹ חֻקִּ֥ים וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֖ים צַדִּיקִ֑ם כְּכֹל֙ הַתּוֹרָ֣ה הַזֹּ֔את אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י נֹתֵ֥ן לִפְנֵיכֶ֖ם הַיּֽוֹם׃

καὶ ποῖον ἔθνος μέγα ᾧ ἐστὶν αὐτῷ δικαιώματα καὶ κρίματα δίκαια κατὰ πάντα τὸν νόμον τοῦτον ὃν ἐγὼ δίδωμι ὑμῖν σήμερον?

Quæ est enim ália gens sic ínclyta, ut hábeat cæremónias, iustáque iudícia, et univérsam legem, quam ego propónam hódie ante óculos vestros?

ומי גוי גדול אשׁר לו חקים ומשׁפטים צדקים ככל התורה הזאת אשׁר אנכי נתן לפניכם היום

And what nation [is there so] great, that hath statutes and judgments [so] righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

רַ֡ק הִשָּׁ֣מֶר לְךָ֩ וּשְׁמֹ֨ר נַפְשְׁךָ֜ מְאֹ֗ד פֶּן־תִּשְׁכַּ֨ח אֶת הַ־דְּבָרִ֜ים אֲשֶׁר־רָא֣וּ עֵינֶ֗יךָ וּפֶן־יָס֨וּרוּ֙ מִלְּבָ֣בְךָ֔ כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֣י חַיֶּ֑יךָ וְהוֹדַעְתָּ֥ם לְבָנֶ֖יךָ וְלִבְנֵ֥י בָנֶֽיךָ׃

πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ καὶ φύλαξον τὴν ψυχήν σου σφόδρα, μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἑωράκασιν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου, καὶ μὴ ἀποστήτωσαν ἀπὸ τῆς καρδίας σου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς σου · καὶ συμβιβάσεις τοὺς υἱούς σου καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν σου ·

Custódi ígitur temetípsum, et ánimam tuam sollícite. Ne obliviscáris verbórum, quæ vidérunt óculi tui, et ne éxcidant de corde tuo cunctis diébus vitæ tuæ. Docébis ea fílios ac nepótes tuos,

רק השׁמר לך ושׁמור נפשׁך מאד פן־תשׁכח את הדברים אשׁר־ראו עיניך ופן־יסורו מלבבך כל ימי חייך והודעתם לבניך ולבני בניך

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons ’ sons;

י֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָמַ֜דְתָּ לִפְנֵ֨י יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶיךָ֮ בְּחֹרֵב֒ בֶּאֱמֹ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י הַקְהֶל לִ־י֙ אֶת הָ־עָ֔ם וְאַשְׁמִעֵ֖ם אֶת דְּבָרָ֑־י אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִלְמְד֜וּן לְיִרְאָ֣ה אֹתִ֗י כָּל הַ־יָּמִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֵ֤ם חַיִּים֙ עַל הָ֣־אֲדָמָ֔ה וְאֶת בְּנֵי־הֶ֖ם יְלַמֵּדֽוּן׃

ἡμέραν ἣν ἔστητε ἐναντίον Κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐν Χωρὴβ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῆς ἐκκλησίας, ὅτε εἶπεν Κύριος πρὸς μέ Ἐκκλησίασον πρὸς μὲ τὸν λαόν, καὶ ἀκουσάτωσαν τὰ ῥήματά μου, ὅπως μάθωσιν φοβεῖσθαί με πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς αὐτοὶ ζῶσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν διδάξουσιν.

a die in quo stetísti coram Dómino Deo tuo in Horeb, quando Dóminus locútus est mihi, dicens: Cóngrega ad me pópulum, ut áudiant sermónes meos, et discant timére me omni témpore quo vivunt in terra, doceántque fílios suos.

יום אשׁר עמדת לפני יהוה אלהיך בחורב באמר יהוה אלי הקהל לי את העם ואשׁמיעם את דברי אשׁר ילמדון ליראה אתי כל הימים אשׁר הם חיים על האדמה ואת בניהם ילמדון

[Specially] the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and [that] they may teach their children.

וַתִּקְרְב֥וּן וַתַּֽעַמְד֖וּן תַּ֣חַת הָהָ֑ר וְהָהָ֞ר בֹּעֵ֤ר בָּאֵשׁ֙ עַד־לֵ֣ב הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם חֹ֖שֶׁךְ עָנָ֥ן וַעֲרָפֶֽל׃

καὶ προσήλθετε καὶ ἔστητε ὑπὸ τὸ ὄρος · καὶ τὸ ὄρος ἐκαὶετο πυρὶ ἕως τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, σκότος, γνόφος, θύελλα, φωνὴ μεγάλη.

Et accessístis ad radíces montis, qui ardébat usque ad cælum: erántque in eo ténebræ, et nubes, et calígo.

ותקרבון ותעמדון תחת ההר וההר בער באשׁ עד לבב השׁמים חשׁך ענן וערפל

And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

וַיְדַבֵּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם מִתּ֣וֹךְ הָאֵ֑שׁ ק֤וֹל דְּבָרִים֙ אַתֶּ֣ם שֹׁמְעִ֔ים וּתְמוּנָ֛ה אֵינְכֶ֥ם רֹאִ֖ים זוּלָתִ֥י קֽוֹל׃

καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρὸς φωνὴν ῥημάτων ἣν ὑμεῖς ἠκούσατε, καὶ ὁμοίωμα οὐκ εἴδετε ἀλλ᾽ ἢ φωνήν ·

Locutúsque est Dóminus ad vos de médio ignis. Vocem verbórum eius audístis, et formam pénitus non vidístis.

וידבר יהוה אליכם מתוך האשׁ קול דברים אתם שׁמעים ותמונה אינכם ראים זולתי קול

And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only [ye heard] a voice.

וַיַּגֵּ֨ד לָכֶ֜ם אֶת בְּרִית֗־וֹ אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֤ה אֶתְכֶם֙ לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת עֲשֶׂ֖רֶת הַדְּבָרִ֑ים וַֽיִּכְתְּבֵ֔ם עַל־שְׁנֵ֖י לֻח֥וֹת אֲבָנִֽים׃

καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν ὑμῖν τὴν διαθήκην αὐτοῦ ἣν ἐνετείλατο ὑμῖν ποιεῖν, τὰ δέκα ῥήματα, καὶ ἔγραψεν αὐτὰ ἐπὶ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας.

Et osténdit vobis pactum suum, quod præcépit ut facerétis, et decem verba, quæ scripsit in duábus tábulis lapídeis.

ויגד לכם את בריתו אשׁר צוה אתכם לעשׂות עשׂרת הדברים ויכתבם על־שׁני לוחת אבנים

And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, [even] ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

[לע]שות עש#[רת הדברים ויכתב׳ם על־שני לח]ות אבנים ׃

וְאֹתִ֞י צִוָּ֤ה יְהוָה֙ בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔וא לְלַמֵּ֣ד אֶתְכֶ֔ם חֻקִּ֖ים וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֑ים לַעֲשֹׂתְכֶ֣ם אֹתָ֔ם בָּאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֛ם עֹבְרִ֥ים שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃

καὶ μοὶ ἐνετείλατο Κύριος ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ διδάξαι ὑμᾶς δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις, ποιεῖν αὐτὰ ὑμᾶς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομεῖν αὐτήν.

Mihíque mandávit in illo témpore ut docérem vos cæremónias et iudícia, quæ fácere deberétis in terra, quam possessúri estis.

ואתי צוה יהוה בעת ההיא ללמד אתכם חקים ומשׁפטים לעשׂותכם אתם בארץ אשׁר אתם עברים שׁמה לרשׁתה

And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.

[ו]או?ת#׳י צ#ו[ה יהוה בעת ההוא ללמד את׳כם ]ח##ק#ים ומשפטים ל##עשות׳כם א##[ות׳ם בארץ אשר אתם עברים ה]י?רדן שמ׳ה [לרשת׳ה ׃

וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֥ם מְאֹ֖ד לְנַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם כִּ֣י לֹ֤א רְאִיתֶם֙ כָּל־תְּמוּנָ֔ה בְּי֗וֹם דִּבֶּ֨ר יְהוָ֧ה אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם בְּחֹרֵ֖ב מִתּ֥וֹךְ הָאֵֽשׁ׃

καὶ φυλάξεσθε σφόδρα τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν, ὅτι οὐκ εἴδετε ὁμοίωμα ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ᾗ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν Χωρὴβ ἐν τῷ ὄρει ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός ·

Custodíte ígitur sollícite ánimas vestras. Non vidístis áliquam similitúdinem in die, qua locútus est vobis Dóminus in Horeb de médio ignis:

ונשׁמרתם מאד לנפשׁתיכם כי לא ראיתם כל־תמונה ביום דבר יהוה אליכם בחורב מתוך האשׁ

Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day [that] the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

ונשמרתם מאד לנפשתי׳כם כי לא ]ר##איתם כל־תמונ#?[ה] [ביום דבר יהוה אלי׳כם בחרב מתוך האש ׃

פֶּ֨ן תַּשְׁחִת֔וּ־ן וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֥ם לָכֶ֛ם פֶּ֖סֶל תְּמוּנַ֣ת כָּל־סָ֑מֶל תַּבְנִ֥ית זָכָ֖ר א֥וֹ נְקֵבָֽה׃

μὴ ἀνομήσητε καὶ ποιήσητε ὑμῖν ἑαυτοῖς γλυπτὸν ὁμοίωμα, πᾶσαν εἰκόνα, ὁμοίωμα ἀρσενικοῦ ἢ θηλυκοῦ,

ne forte decépti faciátis vobis sculptam similitúdinem, aut imáginem másculi vel féminæ:

פן תשׁחתון ועשׂיתם לכם פסל תמונת כל־סמל תבנית זכר או נקבה

Lest ye corrupt [yourselves], and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

תַּבְנִ֕ית כָּל־בְּהֵמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּאָ֑רֶץ תַּבְנִית֙ כָּל־צִפּ֣וֹר כָּנָ֔ף אֲשֶׁ֥ר תָּע֖וּף בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

ὁμοίωμα παντὸς κτήνους τῶν ὄντων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ὀρνέου πτερωτοῦ ὃ πέταται ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν,

similitúdinem ómnium iumentórum, quæ sunt super terram, vel ávium sub cælo volántium,

תבנית כל־בהמה אשׁר בארץ תבנית כל־צפור כנף אשׁר תעף בשׁמים

The likeness of any beast that [is] on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,

תַּבְנִ֕ית כָּל־רֹמֵ֖שׂ בָּאֲדָמָ֑ה תַּבְנִ֛ית כָּל־דָּגָ֥ה אֲשֶׁר בַּ־מַּ֖יִם מִתַּ֥חַת לָאָֽרֶץ׃

ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ἑρπετοῦ ὃ ἕρπει ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ἰχθύος, ἅ ἐστιν ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν ὑποκάτω τῆς γῆς ·

atque reptílium, quæ movéntur in terra, sive píscium qui sub terra morántur in aquis:

καὶ μὴ ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἰδὼν τὸν ἥλιον καὶ τὴν σελήνην καὶ τοὺς ἀστὲρας καὶ πάντα τὸν κόσμον τοῦ οὐρανοῦ πλανηθεὶς προσκυνήσῃς αὐτοῖς καὶ λατρεύσῃς αὐτοῖς, ἃ ἀπένειμεν Κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτὰ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τοῖς ὑποκάτω τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.

ופן־תשׂא עיניך השׁמים וראית את השׁמשׁ ואת הירח ואת הכוכבים כל צבא השׁמים ונדחת והשׁתחוית להם ועבדתם אשׁר חלק יהוה אלהיך אתם לכל העמים תחת כל השׁמים

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, [even] all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

וְאֶתְכֶם֙ לָקַ֣ח יְהוָ֔ה וַיּוֹצִ֥א אֶתְכֶ֛ם מִכּ֥וּר הַבַּרְזֶ֖ל מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם לִהְי֥וֹת ל֛וֹ לְעַ֥ם נַחֲלָ֖ה כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
