וַ֠יִּסְעוּ כָּל־עֲדַ֨ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל מִמִּדְבַּר־סִ֛ין לְמַסְעֵיהֶ֖ם עַל־פִּ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ בִּרְפִידִ֔ים וְאֵ֥ין מַ֖יִם לִשְׁתֹּ֥ת הָעָֽם׃

καὶ ἀπῆρεν πᾶσα συναγωγὴ υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου Σιν κατὰ παρεμβολὰς αὐτῶν διὰ ῥήματος κυρίου καὶ παρενεβάλοσαν ἐν Ραφιδιν οὐκ ἦν δὲ ὕδωρ τῷ λαῷ πιεῖν

Igitur profécta omnis multitúdo filiórum Israel de desérto Sin per mansiónes suas, iuxta sermónem Dómini, castrametáti sunt in Ráphidim, ubi non erat aqua ad bibéndum pópulo.

ויסעו כל־עדת בני־ישׂראל ממדבר־סין למסעיהם על־פי יהוה ויחנו ברפידים ואין מים לשׁתות העם

And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and [there was] no water for the people to drink.

וַיָּ֤רֶב הָעָם֙ עִם־מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ תְּנוּ לָ֥־נוּ מַ֖יִם וְנִשְׁתֶּ֑ה וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהֶם֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה מַה תְּרִיבוּ־ן֙ עִמָּדִ֔י מַה תְּנַסּ֖וּ־ן אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃

καὶ ἐλοιδορεῖτο ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγοντες δὸς ἡμῖν ὕδωρ ἵνα πίωμεν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Μωυσῆς τί λοιδορεῖσθέ μοι καὶ τί πειράζετε κύριον

Qui iurgátus contra Móysen, ait: Da nobis aquam, ut bibámus. Quibus respóndit Móyses: Quid iurgámini contra me? cur tentátis Dóminum?

וירב העם עם־משׁה ויאמר תנה לנו מים ונשׁתה ויאמר להם משׁה מה תריבון עמדי ומה תנסו את־יהוה

Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?

וַיִּצְמָ֨א שָׁ֤ם הָעָם֙ לַמַּ֔יִם וַיָּ֥לֶן הָעָ֖ם עַל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר לָ֤מָּה זֶּה֙ הֶעֱלִיתָ֣נוּ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם לְהָמִ֥ית אֹתִ֛י וְאֶת בָּנַ֥־י וְאֶת מִקְנַ֖־י בַּצָּמָֽא׃

ἐδίψησεν δὲ ἐκεῖ ὁ λαὸς ὕδατι καὶ ἐγόγγυζεν ἐκεῖ ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγοντες ἵνα τί τοῦτο ἀνεβίβασας ἡμᾶς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἀποκτεῖναι ἡμᾶς καὶ τὰ τέκνα ἡμῶν καὶ τὰ κτήνη τῷ δίψει

Sitívit ergo ibi pópulus præ aquæ penúria, et murmurávit contra Móysen, dicens: Cur fecísti nos exíre de Ægýpto, ut occíderes nos, et líberos nostros, ac iuménta siti?

ויצמא שׁם העם למים וילן העם על־משׁה ויאמרו למה העליתנו ממצרים להמית אתי ואת בני ואת מקני בצמא

And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore [is] this [that] thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

וַיִּצְעַ֤ק מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֣ה לֵאמֹ֔ר מָ֥ה אֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה ע֥וֹד מְעַ֖ט וּסְקָלֻֽנִי׃

ἐβόησεν δὲ Μωυσῆς πρὸς κύριον λέγων τί ποιήσω τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ἔτι μικρὸν καὶ καταλιθοβολήσουσίν με

Clamávit autem Móyses ad Dóminum, dicens: Quid fáciam pópulo huic? adhuc páululum, et lapidábit me.

ויצעק משׁה אל־יהוה לאמר מה אעשׂה לעם הזה עוד מעט וסקלוני

And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה עֲבֹר֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם וְקַ֥ח אִתְּךָ֖ מִזִּקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמַטְּךָ֗ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִכִּ֤יתָ בּוֹ֙ אֶת הַ־יְאֹ֔ר קַ֥ח בְּיָדְךָ֖ וְהָלָֽכְתָּ׃

καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν προπορεύου τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου λαβὲ δὲ μετὰ σεαυτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ τὴν ῥάβδον ἐν ᾗ ἐπάταξας τὸν ποταμόν λαβὲ ἐν τῇ χειρί σου καὶ πορεύσῃ

Et ait Dóminus ad Móysen: Antecéde pópulum, et sume tecum de senióribus Israel: et virgam qua percussísti flúvium, tolle in manu tua, et vade.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה עבר לפני העם וקח אתך מזקני ישׂראל ומטך אשׁר הכית בו את היאר תקח בידך והלכת

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

[ומט׳ך אשר הכית ב׳ו את היאר קח בי]ד##׳ך# ו#?ה##[ל]כ##ת##[ ׃

הִנְנִ֣י עֹמֵד֩ לְפָנֶ֨יךָ שָּׁ֥ם ׀ עַֽל הַ־צּוּר֮ בְּחֹרֵב֒ וְהִכִּ֣יתָ בַצּ֗וּר וְיָצְא֥וּ מִמֶּ֛נּוּ מַ֖יִם וְשָׁתָ֣ה הָעָ֑ם וַיַּ֤עַשׂ כֵּן֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה לְעֵינֵ֖י זִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

ὅδε ἐγὼ ἕστηκα πρὸ τοῦ σὲ ἐκεῖ ἐπὶ τῆς πέτρας ἐν Χωρηβ καὶ πατάξεις τὴν πέτραν καὶ ἐξελεύσεται ἐξ αὐτῆς ὕδωρ καὶ πίεται ὁ λαός μου ἐποίησεν δὲ Μωυσῆς οὕτως ἐναντίον τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ

En ego stabo ibi coram te, supra petram Horeb: percutiésque petram, et exíbit ex ea aqua, ut bibat pópulus. Fecit Móyses ita coram senióribus Israel:

הנני עמד לפניך שׁם על הצור בחורב והכית בצור ויצא ממנו מים ושׁתה העם ויעשׂ כן משׁה לעיני זקני ישׂראל

Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

וַיִּקְרָא֙ שֵׁ֣ם הַמָּק֔וֹם מַסָּ֖ה וּמְרִיבָ֑ה עַל־רִ֣יב ׀ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְעַ֨ל נַסֹּתָ֤ם אֶת־יְהוָה֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הֲיֵ֧שׁ יְהוָ֛ה בְּקִרְבֵּ֖נוּ אִם־אָֽיִן׃ פ

καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου πειρασμὸς καὶ λοιδόρησις διὰ τὴν λοιδορίαν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ διὰ τὸ πειράζειν κύριον λέγοντας εἰ ἔστιν κύριος ἐν ἡμῖν ἢ οὔ

et vocávit nomen loci illíus, Tentátio, propter iúrgium filiórum Israel, et quia tentavérunt Dóminum, dicéntes: Estne Dóminus in nobis, an non?

ויקרא שׁם המקום מסה ומריבה על־ריב בני ישׂראל ועל נסותם את־יהוה לאמר הישׁ יהוה בקרבנו אם־אין

And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

וַיָּבֹ֖א עֲמָלֵ֑ק וַיִּלָּ֥חֶם עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בִּרְפִידִֽם׃

ἦλθεν δὲ Αμαληκ καὶ ἐπολέμει Ισραηλ ἐν Ραφιδιν

Venit autem Amalec, et pugnábat contra Israel in Ráphidim.

ויבא עמלק וילחם עם־ישׂראל ברפידים

Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֤ה אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ֙ בְּחַר לָ֣־נוּ אֲנָשִׁ֔ים וְצֵ֖א הִלָּחֵ֣ם בַּעֲמָלֵ֑ק מָחָ֗ר אָנֹכִ֤י נִצָּב֙ עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ הַגִּבְעָ֔ה וּמַטֵּ֥ה הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּיָדִֽי׃

εἶπεν δὲ Μωυσῆς τῷ Ἰησοῦ ἐπίλεξον σεαυτῷ ἄνδρας δυνατοὺς καὶ ἐξελθὼν παράταξαι τῷ Αμαληκ αὔριον καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἕστηκα ἐπὶ τῆς κορυφῆς τοῦ βουνοῦ καὶ ἡ ῥάβδος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν τῇ χειρί μου

Dixítque Móyses ad Iósue: Elige viros: et egréssus, pugna contra Amalec: cras ego stabo in vértice collis, habens virgam Dei in manu mea.

ויאמר משׁה ליהושׁע בחר לנו אנשׁים וצא הלחם בעמלק מחר אנכי נצב על־ראשׁ הגבעה ומטה האלהים בידי

And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

וַיַּ֣עַשׂ יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר אָֽמַר ל־וֹ֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם בַּעֲמָלֵ֑ק וּמֹשֶׁה֙ אַהֲרֹ֣ן וְח֔וּר עָל֖וּ רֹ֥אשׁ הַגִּבְעָֽה׃

καὶ ἐποίησεν Ἰησοῦς καθάπερ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Μωυσῆς καὶ ἐξελθὼν παρετάξατο τῷ Αμαληκ καὶ Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ Ωρ ἀνέβησαν ἐπὶ τὴν κορυφὴν τοῦ βουνοῦ

Fecit Iósue ut locútus erat Móyses, et pugnávit contra Amalec: Móyses autem et Aaron et Hur ascendérunt super vérticem collis.

ויעשׂ יהושׁע כאשׁר אמר לו משׁה להלחם בעמלק ומשׁה ואהרן וחור עלו אל ראשׁ הגבעה

So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

[בעמלק ומשה אהרן וחור עלו ראש הגבעה ׃ ויעש יהושע כאשר אמר ל׳ו מש]ה## ל#ה##ל##ח##ם

וְהָיָ֗ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יָרִ֥ים מֹשֶׁ֛ה יָד֖וֹ וְגָבַ֣ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְכַאֲשֶׁ֥ר יָנִ֛יחַ יָד֖וֹ וְגָבַ֥ר עֲמָלֵֽק׃

καὶ ἐγίνετο ὅταν ἐπῆρεν Μωυσῆς τὰς χεῖρας κατίσχυεν Ισραηλ ὅταν δὲ καθῆκεν τὰς χεῖρας κατίσχυεν Αμαληκ

Cumque leváret Móyses manus, vincébat Israel: sin autem páululum remisísset, superábat Amalec.

והיה כאשׁר ירים משׁה ידיו וגבר ישׂראל וכאשׁר יניח ידיו וגבר עמלק

And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

וִידֵ֤י מֹשֶׁה֙ כְּבֵדִ֔ים וַיִּקְחוּ־אֶ֛בֶן וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ תַחְתָּ֖יו וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב עָלֶ֑יהָ וְאַהֲרֹ֨ן וְח֜וּר תָּֽמְכ֣וּ בְיָדָ֗יו מִזֶּ֤ה אֶחָד֙ וּמִזֶּ֣ה אֶחָ֔ד וַיְהִ֥י יָדָ֛יו אֱמוּנָ֖ה עַד־בֹּ֥א הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃

αἱ δὲ χεῖρες Μωυσῆ βαρεῖαι καὶ λαβόντες λίθον ὑπέθηκαν ὑπ' αὐτόν καὶ ἐκάθητο ἐπ' αὐτοῦ καὶ Ααρων καὶ Ωρ ἐστήριζον τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐντεῦθεν εἷς καὶ ἐντεῦθεν εἷς καὶ ἐγένοντο αἱ χεῖρες Μωυσῆ ἐστηριγμέναι ἕως δυσμῶν ἡλίου

Manus autem Móysi erant graves: suméntes ígitur lápidem, posuérunt subter eum, in quo sedit: Aaron autem et Hur sustentábant manus eius ex utráque parte. Et factum est ut manus illíus non lassaréntur usque ad occásum solis.

וידי משׁה כבדים ויקחו־אבן וישׂמו תחתיו וישׁב עליה ואהרן וחור תמכו בידיו מזה אחד ומזה אחד ויהיו ידיו אמונה עד־בא השׁמשׁ

But Moses ’ hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

וידי משה] [כבדים ]ו#?י#?ק##ח##ו#?־אב#ן? ו#?[ישי]מ##ו#? תחתי׳ו וישב על##[י׳ה ואהרן וחור תמכו בידי׳ו ]מ#זה [אחד ו]מ##ז#?[ה אח]ד## ויהיו ידי׳ו אמונה עד בוא##[ השמש ׃

וַיַּחֲלֹ֧שׁ יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ אֶת־עֲמָלֵ֥ק וְאֶת עַמּ֖־וֹ לְפִי־חָֽרֶב׃ פ

καὶ ἐτρέψατο Ἰησοῦς τὸν Αμαληκ καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἐν φόνῳ μαχαίρας

Fugavítque Iósue Amalec, et pópulum eius in ore gládii.

ויחלשׁ יהושׁע את־עמלק ואת עמו ויכם לפי־חרב

And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה כְּתֹ֨ב זֹ֤את זִכָּרוֹן֙ בַּסֵּ֔פֶר וְשִׂ֖ים בְּאָזְנֵ֣י יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ כִּֽי־מָחֹ֤ה אֶמְחֶה֙ אֶת־זֵ֣כֶר עֲמָלֵ֔ק מִתַּ֖חַת הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν κατάγραψον τοῦτο εἰς μνημόσυνον ἐν βιβλίῳ καὶ δὸς εἰς τὰ ὦτα Ἰησοῖ ὅτι ἀλοιφῇ ἐξαλείψω τὸ μνημόσυνον Αμαληκ ἐκ τῆς ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν

Dixit autem Dóminus ad Móysen: Scribe hoc ob monuméntum in libro, et trade áuribus Iósue: delébo enim memóriam Amalec sub cælo.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה כתב זאת זכרון בספר ושׂים באזני יהושׁע כי־מחה אמחה את־זכר עמלק מתחת השׁמים

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this [for] a memorial in a book, and rehearse [it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

[ו]י?אמר## י#?[הו]ה## אל־משה## כתב זאת ז#?כרון ב#ספר ושי#?[ם באזני י]ה##ו?שע#[ כי־]מחה# [אמחה את־זכר ע]מ##לק מתחת השמים ׃

וַיִּ֥בֶן מֹשֶׁ֖ה מִזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיִּקְרָ֥א שְׁמ֖וֹ יְהוָ֥ה ׀ נִסִּֽי׃

καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Μωυσῆς θυσιαστήριον κυρίῳ καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ κυρίός μου καταφυγή

Ædificavítque Móyses altáre: et vocávit nomen eius, Dóminus exaltátio mea, dicens:

ויבן משׁה מזבח ויקרא שׁמו יהוה נסי

And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

ויבן[ משה מזבח ויקרא שמ׳ו יהוה נס׳י ׃

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר כִּֽי־יָד֙ עַל־כֵּ֣ס יָ֔הּ מִלְחָמָ֥ה לַיהוָ֖ה בַּֽעֲמָלֵ֑ק מִדֹּ֖ר דֹּֽר׃ פ

ὅτι ἐν χειρὶ κρυφαίᾳ πολεμεῖ κύριος ἐπὶ Αμαληκ ἀπὸ γενεῶν εἰς γενεάς

Quia manus sólii Dómini, et bellum Dómini erit contra Amalec, a generatióne in generatiónem.

ויאמר כי־יד על כסא מלחמה ליהוה בעמלק מדר ודר

For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn [that] the LORD [will have] war with Amalek from generation to generation.
