וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָה֮ אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֒ אֱמֹ֣ר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֗ן נְטֵ֤ה אֶת יָדְ־ךָ֙ בְּמַטֶּ֔ךָ עַל הַ֨־נְּהָרֹ֔ת עַל הַ־יְאֹרִ֖ים וְעַל הָ־אֲגַמִּ֑ים וְהַ֥עַל אֶת הַֽ־צְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

Εἶπεν δὲ Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Εἴσελθε πρὸς Φαραὼ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτόν Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου ἵνα μοι λατρεύσωσιν ·

Dixítque Dóminus ad Móysen: Dic ad Aaron: Exténde manum tuam super flúvios ac super rivos et palúdes, et educ ranas super terram Ægýpti.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה אמר אל־אהרן נטה את ידך במטך על הנהרות ועל היארים ועל האגמים והעל את הצפרדעים על־ארץ מצרים ויאמר משׁה אל־אהרן נטה את ידך במטך ותעל הצפרדע על־ארץ מצרים

And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.

Et exténdit Aaron manum super aquas Ægýpti, et ascendérunt ranæ, operuerúntque terram Ægýpti.

And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.

καὶ ἐξερεύξεται ὁ ποταμὸς βατράχους · καὶ ἀναβάντες εἰσελεύσονται εἰς τοὺς οἴκους σου καὶ εἰς τὰ ταμεῖα τῶν κοιτώνων σου καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν κλινῶν σου, καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς οἴκους τῶν θεραπόντων σου καὶ τοῦ λαοῦ σου, καὶ ἐν τοῖς φυράμασίν σου καὶ ἐν τοῖς κλιβάνοις σου ·

Fecérunt autem et maléfici per incantatiónes suas simíliter, eduxerúntque ranas super terram Ægýpti.

ויעשׂו־כן חרטמי מצרים בלחטיהם ויעלו הצפרדעים על־ארץ מצרים

And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.

וַיִּקְרָ֨א פַרְעֹ֜ה לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֗ן וַיֹּ֨אמֶר֙ הַעְתִּ֣ירוּ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה וְיָסֵר֙ הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים מִמֶּ֖נִּי וּמֵֽעַמִּ֑י וַאֲשַׁלְּחָה֙ אֶת הָ־עָ֔ם וְיִזְבְּח֖וּ לַיהוָֽה׃

καὶ ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς θεράποντάς σου καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν σου ἀναβήσονται οἱ βάτραχοι.

Vocávit autem Phárao Móysen et Aaron, et dixit eis: Oráte Dóminum ut áuferat ranas a me et a pópulo meo, et dimíttam pópulum ut sacríficet Dómino.

ויקרא פרעה למשׁה ולאהרן ויאמר העתירו אל־יהוה ויסר הצפרדעים ממני ומעמי ואשׁלח את העם ויזבחו ליהוה

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֣ה לְפַרְעֹה֮ הִתְפָּאֵ֣ר עָלַי֒ לְמָתַ֣י ׀ אַעְתִּ֣יר לְךָ֗ וְלַעֲבָדֶ֨יךָ֙ וּֽלְעַמְּךָ֔ לְהַכְרִית֙ הַֽצֲפַרְדְּעִ֔ים מִמְּךָ֖ וּמִבָּתֶּ֑יךָ רַ֥ק בַּיְאֹ֖ר תִּשָּׁאַֽרְנָה׃

εἶπεν δὲ Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Εἰπὸν Ἀαρὼν τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου Ἔκτεινον τῇ χειρὶ τὴν ῥάβδον σου ἐπὶ τοὺς ποταμοὺς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς διώρυγας καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἕλη, καὶ ἀνάγαγε τοὺς βατράχους.

Dixítque Móyses ad Pharaónem: Constítue mihi quando déprecer pro te, et pro servis tuis, et pro pópulo tuo, ut abigántur ranæ a te, et a domo tua, et a servis tuis, et a pópulo tuo: et tantum in flúmine remáneant.

ויאמר משׁה אל פרעה התפאר עלי למתי אעתיר לך ולעבדיך ולעמך להכרית הצפרדעים ממך ומבתיך ומעבדיך ומעמך רק ביאר תשׁארנה

And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, [that] they may remain in the river only?

καὶ ἐξέτεινεν Ἀαρὼν τὴν χεῖρα ἐπὶ τὰ ὕδατα Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ἀνήγαγεν τοὺς βατράχους · καὶ ἀνεβιβάσθη ὁ βάτραχος, καὶ ἐκάλυψεν τὴν γῆν Αἰγύπτου.

Qui respóndit: Cras. At ille: Iuxta, inquit, verbum tuum fáciam: ut scias quóniam non est sicut Dóminus Deus noster.

ויאמר למחר ויאמר כדבריך למען תדע כי־אין כיהוה אלהינו

And he said, To morrow. And he said, [Be it] according to thy word: that thou mayest know that [there is] none like unto the LORD our God.

ἐποίησαν δὲ ὡσαύτως καὶ οἱ ἐπαοιδοὶ τῶν Αἰγυπτίων ταῖς φαρμακίαις αὐτῶν, καὶ ἀνήγαγον τοὺς βατράχους ἐπὶ γῆν Αἰγύπτου.

Et recédent ranæ a te, et a domo tua, et a servis tuis, et a pópulo tuo: et tantum in flúmine remanébunt.

And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.

καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Φαραὼ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ εἶπεν Εὔξασθε περὶ ἐμοῦ πρὸς Κύριον, καὶ περιελέτω τοὺς βατράχους ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἐμοῦ λαοῦ, καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ αὐτοὺς καὶ θύσωσιν τῷ κυρίῳ.

Egressíque sunt Móyses et Aaron a Pharaóne: et clamávit Móyses ad Dóminum pro sponsióne ranárum quam condíxerat Pharaóni.

ויצא משׁה ואהרן מעם פרעה ויצעק משׁה אל־יהוה על־דבר הצפרדעים אשׁר־שׂם לפרעה

And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ יְהוָ֖ה כִּדְבַ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיָּמֻ֨תוּ֙ הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים מִן הַ־בָּתִּ֥ים מִן הַ־חֲצֵרֹ֖ת וּמִן הַ־שָּׂדֹֽת׃

εἶπεν δὲ Μωυσῆς πρὸς Φαραώ Τάξαι πρὸς μὲ πότε εὔξωμαι περὶ σοῦ καὶ περὶ τῶν θεραπόντων σου καὶ περὶ τοῦ λαοῦ σου, ἀφανίσαι τοὺς βατράχους ἀπὸ σοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ σου καὶ ἐκ τῶν οἰκιῶν ὑμῶν · πλὴν ἐν τῷ ποταμῷ ὑπολειφθήσονται.

Fecítque Dóminus iuxta verbum Móysi: et mórtuæ sunt ranæ de dómibus, et de villis, et de agris.

ויעשׂ יהוה כדבר משׁה וימתו הצפרדעים מן הבתים ומן החצרות ומן השׂדות

And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν Εἰς αὔριον. εἶπεν οὖν Ὡς εἴρηκας · ἵνα ἴδῃς ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἄλλος πλὴν Κυρίου ·

And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.

καὶ περιαιρεθήσονται οἱ βάτραχοι ἀπὸ σοῦ καὶ ἐκ τῶν οἰκιῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐπαύλεων καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν θεραπόντων σου καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ σου · πλὴν ἐν τῷ ποταμῷ ὑπολειφθήσονται.

Videns autem Phárao quod data esset réquies, ingravávit cor suum, et non audívit eos, sicut præcéperat Dóminus.

וירא פרעה כי היתה הרוחה ויכבד את לבו ולא שׁמע אליהם כאשׁר דבר יהוה

But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Μωυσῆς καὶ Ἀαρὼν ἀπὸ Φαραώ · καὶ ἐβόησεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κύριον περὶ τοῦ ὁρισμοῦ τῶν βατράχων, ὡς ἐτάξατο Φαραώ.

Dixítque Dóminus ad Móysen: Lóquere ad Aaron: Exténde virgam tuam, et pércute púlverem terræ: et sint scíniphes in univérsa terra Ægýpti.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה אמר אל־אהרן נטה את ידך במטך והך את־עפר הארץ ויהי לכנים בכל־ארץ מצרים

And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

ἐποίησεν δὲ Κύριος καθάπερ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς, καὶ ἐτελεύτησαν οἱ βάτραχοι ἐκ τῶν οἰκιῶν καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐπαύλεων καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἀγρῶν ·

Fecerúntque ita. Et exténdit Aaron manum, virgam tenens: percussítque púlverem terræ, et facti sunt scíniphes in homínibus, et in iuméntis: omnis pulvis terræ versus est in scíniphes per totam terram Ægýpti.

ויעשׂו־כן ויט אהרן את ידו במטהו ויך את־עפר הארץ ותהי הכנים באדם ובבהמה כל־עפר הארץ היה כנים בכל־ארץ מצרים

And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

Fecerúntque simíliter maléfici incantatiónibus suis, ut edúcerent scíniphes, et non potuérunt: erántque scíniphes tam in homínibus quam in iuméntis.

ויעשׂו־כן החרטמים בלחטיהם להוציא את הכנים ולא יכלו ותהי הכנים באדם ובבהמה

And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.

ἰδὼν δὲ Φαραὼ ὅτι γέγονεν ἀνάψυξις, ἐβαρύνθη ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσεν αὐτῶν, καθάπερ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος.

Et dixérunt maléfici ad Pharaónem: Dígitus Dei est hic: induratúmque est cor Pharaónis, et non audívit eos sicut præcéperat Dóminus.

ויאמרו החרטמים אל־פרעה אצבע אלהים היא ויחזק לב־פרעה ולא־שׁמע אליהם כאשׁר דבר יהוה

Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This [is] the finger of God: and Pharaoh ’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

Εἶπεν δὲ Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Εἰπὸν Ἀαρών Ἔκτεινον τῇ χειρὶ τὴν ῥάβδον σου καὶ πάταξον τὸ χῶμα τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἔσονται σκνῖφες ἔν τε τοῖς ἀνθρώποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς τετράποσιν καὶ ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου.

Dixit quoque Dóminus ad Móysen: Consúrge dilúculo, et sta coram Pharaóne: egrediétur enim ad aquas: et dices ad eum: Hæc dicit Dóminus: Dimítte pópulum meum ut sacríficet mihi.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה השׁכם בבקר והתיצב לפני פרעה הנה הוא יצא המים ואמרת אליו כה אמר יהוה שׁלח את עמי ויעבדני

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

כִּ֣י אִם אֵינְ־ךָ֮ מְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ אֶת עַמִּ־י֒ הִנְנִי֩ מַשְׁלִ֨יחַ בְּךָ֜ וּבַעֲבָדֶ֧יךָ וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֛ וּבְבָתֶּ֖יךָ אֶת הֶ־עָרֹ֑ב וּמָ֨לְא֜וּ בָּתֵּ֤י מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ אֶת הֶ֣־עָרֹ֔ב וְגַ֥ם הָאֲדָמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֥ם עָלֶֽיהָ׃

ἐξέτεινεν οὖν Ἀαρὼν τῇ χειρὶ τὴν ῥάβδον καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸ χῶμα τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ σκνῖφες ἐν τοῖς ἀνθρώποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς τετράποσιν · καὶ ἐν παντὶ χώματι τῆς γῆς ἐγένοντο οἱ σκνῖφες.

Quod si non dimíseris eum, ecce ego immíttam in te, et in servos tuos, et in pópulum tuum, et in domos tuas, omne genus muscárum: et implebúntur domus Ægyptiórum muscis divérsi géneris, et univérsa terra in qua fúerint.

כי אם אינך משׁלח את עמי הנני משׁלח בך ובעבדיך ובעמך ובבתיך את הערב ומלאו בתי מצרים את הערב וגם האדמה אשׁר־הם עליה

Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms [of flies] upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms [of flies], and also the ground whereon they [are].

ἐποίησαν δὲ ὡσαύτως καὶ οἱ ἐπαοιδοὶ ταῖς φαρμακίαις αὐτῶν ἐξαγαγεῖν τὸν σκνῖφα, καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο · καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ σκνῖφες ἐν τοῖς ἀνθρώποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς τετράποσιν.

והפליתי ביום ההוא את־ארץ גשׁן אשׁר עמי עמד עליה לבלתי היות־שׁם ערב למען תדע כי אני יהוה בקרב הארץ

And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms [of flies] shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I [am] the LORD in the midst of the earth.

ושׂמתי פדות בין עמי ובין עמך למחר יהיה האות הזה ויבא משׁה ואהרן אל פרעה ויאמרו אליו כה אמר יהוה שׁלח את עמי ויעבדני כי אם אינך משׁלח את עמי הנני משׁלח בך ובעבדיך ובעמך ובבתיך את הערב ומלאו בתי מצרים את הערב וגם האדמה אשׁר הם עליה והפליתי ביום ההוא את ארץ גשׁן אשׁר עמי עמד עליה לבלתי היות שׁם ערב למען תדע כי אני יהוה בקרב הארץ ושׂמתי פדות בין עמי ובין עמך למחר יהיה האות הזה

And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm [of flies] into the house of Pharaoh, and [into] his servants ’ houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm [of flies].

ויאמר משׁה לא נכון לעשׂות כן כי תועבת מצרים נזבח ליהוה אלהינו הן נזבח את־תועבת מצרים לעיניהם ולא יסקלנו

And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?

ויאמר משׁה הנה אנכי יצא מעמך והעתרתי אל־יהוה וסר הערב מפרעה ומעבדיו ומעמו מחר רק אל־יסף פרעה התל לבלתי שׁלח את העם לזבח ליהוה

And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD that the swarms [of flies] may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.

And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms [of flies] from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

καὶ εἶπεν Φαραώ Ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω ὑμᾶς, καὶ θύσατε τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, ἀλλ᾽ οὐ μακρὰν ἀποτενεῖτε πορευθῆναι · εὔξασθε οὖν περὶ ἐμοῦ πρὸς Κύριον.
