וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה בֹּ֖א אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת עַמִּ֖־י וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃

Εἶπεν δὲ Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Εἴσελθε πρὸς Φαραὼ καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτῷ Τάδε λέγει Κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν Ἐβραίων Ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου ἵνα μοι λατρεύσωσιν ·

Dixit autem Dóminus ad Móysen: Ingrédere ad Pharaónem, et lóquere ad eum: Hæc dicit Dóminus Deus Hebræórum: Dimítte pópulum meum ut sacríficet mihi.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה בא אל־פרעה ואמרת אליו כה־אמר יהוה אלהי העברים שׁלח את עמי ויעבדני

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

כִּ֛י אִם־מָאֵ֥ן אַתָּ֖ה לְשַׁלֵּ֑חַ וְעוֹדְךָ֖ מַחֲזִ֥יק בָּֽם׃
2
εἰ μὲν οὖν μὴ βούλει ἐξαποστεῖλαι τὸν λαόν μου ἀλλ᾽ ἔτι ἐνκρατεῖς αὐτοῦ,

Quod si adhuc rénuis, et rétines eos:

כי אם־מאן אתה לשׁלח ועודך מחזק בם

For if thou refuse to let [them] go, and wilt hold them still,

הִנֵּ֨ה יַד־יְהוָ֜ה הוֹיָ֗ה בְּמִקְנְךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה בַּסּוּסִ֤ים בַּֽחֲמֹרִים֙ בַּגְּמַלִּ֔ים בַּבָּקָ֖ר וּבַצֹּ֑אן דֶּ֖בֶר כָּבֵ֥ד מְאֹֽד׃
3
ἰδοὺ χεὶρ Κυρίου ἐπέσται ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσίν σου τοῖς ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις, ἔν τε τοῖς ἵπποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς ὑποζυγίοις καὶ ταῖς καμήλοις καὶ βουσὶν καὶ προβάτοις, θάνατος μέγας σφόδρα.

ecce manus mea erit super agros tuos: et super equos, et ásinos, et camélos, et boves, et oves, pestis valde gravis.

הנה יד־יהוה היה במקניך אשׁר בשׂדה בסוסים ובחמרים ובגמלים בבקר ובצאן דבר כבד מאד
3
Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which [is] in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: [there shall be] a very grievous murrain.

וְהִפְלָ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה בֵּ֚ין מִקְנֵ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּבֵ֖ין מִקְנֵ֣ה מִצְרָ֑יִם וְלֹ֥א יָמ֛וּת מִכָּל לִ־בְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל דָּבָֽר׃
4
καὶ παραδοξάσω ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ · οὐ τελευτήσει ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ υἱῶν ῥητόν.

Et fáciet Dóminus mirábile inter possessiónes Israel, et possessiónes Ægyptiórum, ut nihil omníno péreat ex his quæ pértinent ad fílios Israel.

והפלא יהוה בין מקנה ישׂראל ובין מקנה מצרים ולא ימות מכל לבני ישׂראל דבר
4
And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all [that is] the children ’s of Israel.

וַיָּ֥שֶׂם יְהוָ֖ה מוֹעֵ֣ד לֵאמֹ֑ר מָחָ֗ר יַעֲשֶׂ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּ֖ה בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
5
καὶ ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς ὅρον λέγων Ἐν τῇ αὔριον ποιήσει Κύριος τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.

Constituítque Dóminus tempus, dicens: Cras fáciet Dóminus verbum istud in terra.

וישׂם יהוה מועד לאמר מחר יעשׂה יהוה את הדבר הזה בארץ ויבא משׁה ואהרן אל פרעה ויאמרו אליו כה אמר יהוה אלהי העברים שׁלח את עמי ויעבדני כי אם מאן אתה לשׁלח ועודך מחזק בם הנה יד יהוה היה במקניך אשׁר בשׂדה בסוסים ובחמרים ובגמלים בבקר ובצאן דבר כבד מאד והפלא יהוה בין מקנה ישׂראל ובין מקנה מצרים ולא ימות מכל לבני ישׂראל דבר מחר יעשׂה יהוה את הדבר הזה בארץ

And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

וַיַּ֨עַשׂ יְהוָ֜ה אֶת הַ־דָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת וַיָּ֕מָת כֹּ֖ל מִקְנֵ֣ה מִצְרָ֑יִם וּמִמִּקְנֵ֥ה בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֹא־מֵ֥ת אֶחָֽד׃

καὶ ἐποίησεν Κύριος τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο τῇ ἐπαύριον, καὶ ἐτελεύτησεν πάντα τὰ κτήνη τῶν Αἰγυπτίων · ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ οὐκ ἐτελεύτησεν οὐδέν.

Fecit ergo Dóminus verbum hoc áltera die: mortuáque sunt ómnia animántia Ægyptiórum: de animálibus vero filiórum Israel, nihil omníno périit.

ויעשׂ יהוה את הדבר הזה ממחרת וימת כל מקנה מצרים וממקנה בני־ישׂראל לא־מת אחד
6
And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְהִנֵּ֗ה לֹא־מֵ֛ת מִמִּקְנֵ֥ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עַד־אֶחָ֑ד וַיִּכְבַּד֙ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח אֶת הָ־עָֽם׃ פ

ἰδὼν δὲ Φαραὼ ὅτι οὐκ ἐτελεύτησεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ οὐδέν, ἐβαρύνθη ἡ καρδία Φαραώ, καὶ οὐκ ἐξαπέστειλεν τὸν λαόν.

Et misit Phárao ad vidéndum: nec erat quidquam mórtuum de his quæ possidébat Israel. Ingravatúmque est cor Pharaónis, et non dimísit pópulum.

וישׁלח פרעה והנה לא־מת ממקנה בני ישׂראל עד־אחד ויכבד לב פרעה ולא שׁלח את העם
7
And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָה֮ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹן֒ קְח֤וּ לָכֶם֙ מְלֹ֣א חָפְנֵיכֶ֔ם פִּ֖יחַ כִּבְשָׁ֑ן וּזְרָק֥וֹ מֹשֶׁ֛ה הַשָּׁמַ֖יְמָה לְעֵינֵ֥י פַרְעֹֽה׃

Εἶπεν δὲ Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν λέγων Λάβετε ὑμεῖς πλήρεις τὰς χεῖρας αἰθάλης καμιναίας, καὶ πασάτω Μωυσῆς εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἐναντίον Φαραὼ καὶ ἐναντίον τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ,

Et dixit Dóminus ad Móysen et Aaron: Tóllite plenas manus cíneris de camíno, et spargat illum Móyses in cælum coram Pharaóne.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה ואל־אהרן קחו לכם מלוא חפניכם פיח כבשׁן וזרקו משׁה השׁמים לעיני פרעה
8
And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

καὶ γενηθήτω κονιορτὸς ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Αἰγύπτου · καὶ ἔσται ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ τετράποδα ἕλκη, φλυκτίδες ἀναζέουσαι, ἔν τε τοῖς ἀνθρώποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς τετράποσιν καὶ πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου.

Sitque pulvis super omnem terram Ægýpti: erunt enim in homínibus et iuméntis úlcera, et vesícæ turgéntes in univérsa terra Ægýpti.

והיה לאבק על כל־ארץ מצרים והיה על האדם ועל הבהמה לשׁחין פרח אבעבעות בכל־ארץ מצרים
9
And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth [with] blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

וַיִּקְח֞וּ אֶת־פִּ֣יחַ הַכִּבְשָׁ֗ן וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה וַיִּזְרֹ֥ק אֹת֛וֹ מֹשֶׁ֖ה הַשָּׁמָ֑יְמָה וַיְהִ֗י שְׁחִין֙ אֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֔ת פֹּרֵ֕חַ בָּאָדָ֖ם וּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃

καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν αἰθάλην τῆς καμιναίας ἐναντίον Φαραὼ καὶ ἔπασεν αὐτὴν Μωυσῆς εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ ἐγένετο ἕλκη, φλυκτίδες ἀναζέουσαι, ἐν τοῖς ἀνθρώποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς τετράποσιν.

Tulerúntque cínerem de camíno, et stetérunt coram Pharaóne, et sparsit illum Móyses in cælum: factáque sunt úlcera vesicárum turgéntium in homínibus, et iuméntis:

ויקחו את־פיח הכבשׁן ויעמדו לפני פרעה ויזרק אתו משׁה השׁמים ויהי שׁחין אבעבעות פרח באדם ובבהמה

And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth [with] blains upon man, and upon beast.

וְלֹֽא־יָכְל֣וּ הַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֗ים לַעֲמֹ֛ד לִפְנֵ֥י מֹשֶׁ֖ה מִפְּנֵ֣י הַשְּׁחִ֑ין כִּֽי־הָיָ֣ה הַשְּׁחִ֔ין בַּֽחֲרְטֻמִּ֖ם וּבְכָל־מִצְרָֽיִם׃

καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο οἱ φαρμακοὶ στῆναι ἐναντίον Μωυσῆ διὰ τὰ ἕλκη · ἐγένετο γὰρ τὰ ἕλκη ἐν τοῖς φαρμακοῖς καὶ ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου.

nec póterant maléfici stare coram Móyse propter úlcera quæ in illis erant, et in omni terra Ægýpti.

ולא־יכלו החרטמים לעמד לפני משׁה מפני השׁחין כי־היה השׁחין בחרטמים ובכל־מצרים

And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

ἐσκλήρυνεν δὲ Κύριος τὴν καρδίαν Φαραώ, καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσεν αὐτῶν, καθὰ συνέταξεν Κύριος.

Induravítque Dóminus cor Pharaónis, et non audívit eos, sicut locútus est Dóminus ad Móysen.

ויחזק יהוה את־לב פרעה ולא שׁמע אליהם כאשׁר דבר יהוה אל־משׁה

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

Εἶπεν δὲ Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ὄρθρισον τὸ πρωὶ καὶ στῆθι ἐναντίον Φαραώ, καὶ ἐρεῖς πρός αὐτόν Τάδε λέγει Κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν Ἐβραίων Ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου ἵνα λατρεύσωσίν μοι.

Dixítque Dóminus ad Móysen: Mane consúrge, et sta coram Pharaóne, et dices ad eum: Hæc dicit Dóminus Deus Hebræórum: Dimítte pópulum meum ut sacríficet mihi.

ויאמר יהוה אל־משׁה השׁכם בבקר והתיצב לפני פרעה ואמרת אליו כה־אמר יהוה אלהי העברים שׁלח את עמי ויעבדני
13
And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

כִּ֣י ׀ בַּפַּ֣עַם הַזֹּ֗את אֲנִ֨י שֹׁלֵ֜חַ אֶת־כָּל מַגֵּפֹתַ־י֙ אֶֽל לִבְּ־ךָ֔ וּבַעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ וּבְעַמֶּ֑ךָ בַּעֲב֣וּר תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין כָּמֹ֖נִי בְּכָל הָ־אָֽרֶץ׃
14
ἐν τῷ γὰρ νῦν καιρῷ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω πάντα τὰ συναντήματά μου εἰς τὴν καρδίαν σου καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων σου καὶ τοῦ λαοῦ σου, ἵν᾽ εἰδῇς ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ὡς ἐγὼ ἄλλος ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ.

Quia in hac vice mittam omnes plagas meas super cor tuum, et super servos tuos, et super pópulum tuum: ut scias quod non sit símilis mei in omni terra.

כי בפעם הזאת אני שׁלח את־כל מגפתי על לבך ובעבדיך ובעמך בעבור תדע כי אין כמוני בכל הארץ
14
For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that [there is] none like me in all the earth.

כי בפעם הזאת אני שלח את־כל מגפת׳י אל לב׳ך ובעבדי׳ך ובעמ׳ך בעבור תדע כי אין כמ׳ני בכל] [הארץ ׃

כִּ֤י עַתָּה֙ שָׁלַ֣חְתִּי אֶת יָדִ֔־י וָאַ֥ךְ אוֹתְךָ֛ וְאֶֽת עַמְּ־ךָ֖ בַּדָּ֑בֶר וַתִּכָּחֵ֖ד מִן הָ־אָֽרֶץ׃
15
νῦν γὰρ ἀποστείλας τὴν χεῖρα πατάξω σε, καὶ τὸν λαόν σου θανατώσω, καὶ ἐκτριβήσῃ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ·
15
Nunc enim exténdens manum percútiam te, et pópulum tuum peste, peribísque de terra.

כי עתה שׁלחתי את ידי ואכה אתך ואת עמך בדבר ותכחד מן הארץ
15
For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

וְאוּלָ֗ם בַּעֲב֥וּר זֹאת֙ הֶעֱמַדְתִּ֔יךָ בַּעֲב֖וּר הַרְאֹתְךָ֣ אֶת כֹּחִ֑־י וּלְמַ֛עַן סַפֵּ֥ר שְׁמִ֖י בְּכָל הָ־אָֽרֶץ׃
16
καὶ ἕνεκεν τούτου διετηρήθης ἵνα ἐνδείξωμαι ἐν σοὶ τὴν ἰσχύν μου, καὶ ὅπως διαγγελῇ τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ.

Idcírco autem pósui te, ut osténdam in te fortitúdinem meam, et narrétur nomen meum in omni terra.

ואולם בעבור זאת העמדתיך בעבור הראתיך את כחי ולמען ספר שׁמי בכל הארץ
16
And in very deed for this [cause] have I raised thee up, for to shew [in] thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

ἔτι οὖν σὺ ἐνποιῇ τοῦ λαοῦ μου τοῦ μὴ ἐξαποστεῖλαι αὐτούς;

Adhuc rétines pópulum meum, et non vis dimíttere eum?

עודך מסתולל בעמי לבלתי שׁלחם
17
As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

הִנְנִ֤י מַמְטִיר֙ כָּעֵ֣ת מָחָ֔ר בָּרָ֖ד כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא־הָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֨הוּ֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם לְמִן הַ־יּ֥וֹם הִוָּסְדָ֖ה וְעַד־עָֽתָּה׃
18
ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ὕω ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον χάλαζαν πολλὴν σφόδρα, ἥτις τοιαύτη οὐ γέγονεν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ἔκτισται ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης.

En pluam cras hac ipsa hora grándinem multam nimis, qualis non fuit in Ægýpto a die qua fundáta est, usque in præsens tempus.

הנני ממטיר כעת מחר ברד כבד מאד אשׁר לא־היה כמהו במצרים למיום היסדה ועד־עתה
18
Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

וְעַתָּ֗ה שְׁלַ֤ח הָעֵז֙ אֶֽת מִקְנְ־ךָ֔ וְאֵ֛ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְךָ֖ בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה כָּל הָ־אָדָ֨ם וְהַבְּהֵמָ֜ה אֲשֶֽׁר־יִמָּצֵ֣א בַשָּׂדֶ֗ה וְלֹ֤א יֵֽאָסֵף֙ הַבַּ֔יְתָה וְיָרַ֧ד עֲלֵהֶ֛ם הַבָּרָ֖ד וָמֵֽתוּ׃

νῦν οὖν κατάσπευσον συναγαγεῖν τὰ κτήνη σου καὶ ὅσα σοί ἐστιν ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ · πάντες γὰρ οἱ ἄνθρωποι καὶ τὰ κτήνη ὅσα σοί ἐστιν ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ καὶ μὴ εἰσέλθῃ εἰς οἰκίαν, πέσῃ δὲ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὰ ἡ χάλαζα, τελευτήσει.

Mitte ergo iam nunc, et cóngrega iuménta tua, et ómnia quæ habes in agro: hómines enim, et iuménta, et univérsa quæ invénta fúerint foris, nec congregáta de agris, ceciderítque super ea grando, moriéntur.

Send therefore now, [and] gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; [for upon] every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; [and] the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth [is] the LORD’S.
