וַיִּגַּע֙ הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י וּבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֶּעָרִ֑ים וַיֵּאָסְפ֥וּ הָעָ֛ם כְּאִ֥ישׁ אֶחָ֖ד אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ ס

Καὶ ἔφθασεν μὴν ἕβδομος καὶ οἱ Ἰσραὴλ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν, καὶ συνήχθη λαὸς ὡς ἀνὴρ εἷς εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ.

Iamque vénerat mensis séptimus, et erant fílii Israel in civitátibus suis: congregátus est ergo pópulus quasi vir unus in Ierúsalem.

וַיָּקָם֩ יֵשׁ֨וּעַ בֶּן־יֽוֹצָדָ֜ק וְאֶחָ֣יו הַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים וּזְרֻבָּבֶ֤ל בֶּן־שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵל֙ וְאֶחָ֔יו וַיִּבְנ֕וּ אֶת־מִזְבַּ֖ח אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לְהַעֲל֤וֹת עָלָיו֙ עֹל֔וֹת כַּכָּת֕וּב בְּתוֹרַ֖ת מֹשֶׁ֥ה אִישׁ הָ־אֱלֹהִֽים׃

καὶ ἀνέστη Ἰησοῦς τοῦ Ἰωσεδὲκ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν τὸ θυσιαστήριον θεοῦ Ἰσραήλ, τοῦ ἀνενέγκαι ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ ὁλοκαυτώσεις κατὰ τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν νόμῳ Μωυσῆ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ θεοῦ.

Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as [it is] written in the law of Moses the man of God.

וַיָּכִ֤ינוּ הַמִּזְבֵּ֨חַ֙ עַל מְכ֣וֹנֹתָ֔י־ו כִּ֚י בְּאֵימָ֣ה עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם מֵעַמֵּ֖י הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת ויעל עָלָ֤יו עֹלוֹת֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה עֹל֖וֹת לַבֹּ֥קֶר וְלָעָֽרֶב׃

καὶ ἡτοίμασαν τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀνέβη ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ ὁλοκαύτωσις τῷ κυρίῳ τὸ πρωὶ καὶ εἰς ἑσπέραν.

וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֛וּ אֶת־חַ֥ג הַסֻּכּ֖וֹת כַּכָּת֑וּב וְעֹלַ֨ת י֤וֹם בְּיוֹם֙ בְּמִסְפָּ֔ר כְּמִשְׁפַּ֖ט דְּבַר־י֥וֹם בְּיוֹמֽוֹ׃

καὶ ἐποίησαν τὴν ἑορτὴν τῶν σκηνῶν κατὰ τὸ γεγραμμένον, καὶ ὁλοκαυτώσεις ἡμέραν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἐν ἀριθμῷ ὡς κρίσις, λόγον ἡμέρας ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ·

וְאַחֲרֵי כֵ֞ן עֹלַ֤ת תָּמִיד֙ וְלֶ֣חֳדָשִׁ֔ים וּלְכָל־מוֹעֲדֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה הַמְקֻדָּשִׁ֑ים וּלְכֹ֛ל מִתְנַדֵּ֥ב נְדָבָ֖ה לַיהוָֽה׃

καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο ὁλοκαυτώσεις ἐνδελεχισμοῦ, καὶ εἰς τὰς νουμηνίας καὶ εἰς πάσας ἑορτὰς τὰς ἡγιασμένας, καὶ παντὶ ἑκουσιαζομένῳ ἑκούσιον τῷ κυρίῳ.

Et post hæc holocáustum iuge, tam in caléndis quam in univérsis solemnitátibus Dómini, quæ erant consecrátæ, et in ómnibus in quibus ultro offerebátur munus Dómino.

מִיּ֤וֹם אֶחָד֙ לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י הֵחֵ֕לּוּ לְהַעֲל֥וֹת עֹל֖וֹת לַיהוָ֑ה וְהֵיכַ֥ל יְהוָ֖ה לֹ֥א יֻסָּֽד׃

וַיִּ֨תְּנוּ־כֶ֔סֶף לַחֹצְבִ֖ים וְלֶחָרָשִׁ֑ים וּמַאֲכָ֨ל וּמִשְׁתֶּ֜ה וָשֶׁ֗מֶן לַצִּֽדֹנִים֙ וְלַצֹּרִ֔ים לְהָבִיא֩ עֲצֵ֨י אֲרָזִ֤ים מִן הַ־לְּבָנוֹן֙ אֶל־יָ֣ם יָפ֔וֹא כְּרִשְׁי֛וֹן כּ֥וֹרֶשׁ מֶֽלֶךְ־פָּרַ֖ס עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ פ

καὶ ἔδωκαν ἀργύριον τοῖς λατόμοις καὶ τοῖς τέκτοσιν, καὶ βρώματα καὶ ποτὰ καὶ ἔλαιον τοῖς Σηδαμεὶν καὶ τοῖς Σωρεὶν ἐνέγκαι ξύλα κέδρινα ἀπὸ τοῦ Λιβάνου πρὸς θάλασσαν Ἰόππης, κατ᾽ ἐπιχώρησιν Κύρου βασιλέως Περσῶν ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς.

Dedérunt autem pecúnias látomis et cæmentáriis: cibum quoque, et potum, et óleum Sidóniis Tyriísque, ut deférrent ligna cédrina de Líbano ad mare Ioppe, iuxta quod præcéperat Cyrus rex Persárum eis.

וּבַשָּׁנָ֣ה הַשֵּׁנִ֗ית לְבוֹאָ֞ם אֶל־בֵּ֤ית הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ לִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִ֑י הֵחֵ֡לּוּ זְרֻבָּבֶ֣ל בֶּן־שְׁ֠אַלְתִּיאֵל וְיֵשׁ֨וּעַ בֶּן־יֽוֹצָדָ֜ק וּשְׁאָ֥ר אֲחֵיהֶ֣ם ׀ הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְהַלְוִיִּ֗ם וְכָל הַ־בָּאִים֙ מֵהַשְּׁבִ֣י יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם וַיַּעֲמִ֣ידוּ אֶת הַ־לְוִיִּ֗ם מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה לְנַצֵּ֖חַ עַל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת בֵּית־יְהוָֽה׃ פ

Καὶ ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ δευτέρῳ τοῦ ἐλθεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἐν μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ, ἤρξατο Ζοροβαβὲλ τοῦ Σαλαθιὴλ καὶ Ἰησοῦς τοῦ Ἰωσεδὲκ καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι τῶν ἀδελφῶν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευεῖται καὶ πάντες οἱ ἐρχόμενοι ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ, καὶ ἔστησαν τοὺς Λευείτας ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα Κυρίου.

Anno autem secúndo advéntus eórum ad templum Dei in Ierúsalem, mense secúndo, cœpérunt Zoróbabel fílius Saláthiel, et Iósue fílius Iósedec, et réliqui de frátribus eórum sacerdótes, et Levítæ, et omnes qui vénerant de captivitáte in Ierúsalem, et constituérunt Levítas a vigínti annis et supra, ut urgérent opus Dómini.

Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.

וַיַּעֲמֹ֣ד יֵשׁ֡וּעַ בָּנָ֣יו וְ֠אֶחָיו קַדְמִיאֵ֨ל וּבָנָ֤יו בְּנֵֽי־יְהוּדָה֙ כְּאֶחָ֔ד לְנַצֵּ֛חַ עַל־עֹשֵׂ֥ה הַמְּלָאכָ֖ה בְּבֵ֣ית הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים בְּנֵי֙ חֵֽנָדָ֔ד בְּנֵיהֶ֥ם וַאֲחֵיהֶ֖ם הַלְוִיִּֽם׃ ס

וְיִסְּד֥וּ הַבֹּנִ֖ים אֶת־הֵיכַ֣ל יְהוָ֑ה וַיַּעֲמִידוּ֩ הַכֹּהֲנִ֨ים מְלֻבָּשִׁ֜ים בַּחֲצֹֽצְר֗וֹת וְהַלְוִיִּ֤ם בְּנֵֽי־אָסָף֙ בַּֽמְצִלְתַּ֔יִם לְהַלֵּל֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֔ה עַל־יְדֵ֖י דָּוִ֥יד מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

καὶ ἐθεμελίωσαν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον Κυρίου · καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐστολισμένοι ἐν σάλπιγξιν καὶ οἱ Λευεῖται υἱοὶ Ἀσὰφ τοῦ αἰνεῖν τὸν κύριον ἐπὶ χεῖρας Δαυεὶδ βασιλέως Ἰσραήλ.

וַֽ֠יַּעֲנוּ בְּהַלֵּ֨ל וּבְהוֹדֹ֤ת לַֽיהוָה֙ כִּ֣י ט֔וֹב כִּֽי לְ־עוֹלָ֥ם חַסְדּ֖וֹ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְכָל הָ־עָ֡ם הֵרִיעוּ֩ תְרוּעָ֨ה גְדוֹלָ֤ה בְהַלֵּל֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה עַ֖ל הוּסַ֥ד בֵּית־יְהוָֽה׃ ס

καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν ἐν αἴνῳ καὶ ἀνθομολογήσει τῷ κυρίῳ Ὃτι ἀγαθόν, ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Ἰσραήλ. καὶ πᾶς λαὸς ἐσήμαινον φωνὴν μεγάλην αἰνεῖν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ θεμελιώσει οἴκου Κυρίου.

Et concinébant in hymnis, et confessióne Dómino: Quóniam bonus, quóniam in ætérnum misericórdia eius super Israel. Omnis quoque pópulus vociferabátur clamóre magno in laudándo Dóminum, eo quod fundátum esset templum Dómini.

And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because [he is] good, for his mercy [endureth] for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

וְרַבִּ֡ים מֵהַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְהַלְוִיִּם֩ וְרָאשֵׁ֨י הָאָב֜וֹת הַזְּקֵנִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר רָא֜וּ אֶת הַ־בַּ֤יִת הָֽרִאשׁוֹן֙ בְּיָסְד֔וֹ זֶ֤ה הַבַּ֨יִת֙ בְּעֵ֣ינֵיהֶ֔ם בֹּכִ֖ים בְּק֣וֹל גָּד֑וֹל וְרַבִּ֛ים בִּתְרוּעָ֥ה בְשִׂמְחָ֖ה לְהָרִ֥ים קֽוֹל׃

καὶ πολλοὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευειτῶν καὶ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν οἱ πρεσβύτεροι οἵ εἴδοσαν τὸν οἶκον τὸν πρῶτον ἐν θεμελιώσει αὐτοῦ, καὶ τοῦτον τὸν οἶκον ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς αὐτῶν, ἔκλαιον φωνῇ μεγάλῃ, καὶ ὄχλος ἐν σημασίᾳ μετ᾽ εὐφροσύνης τοῦ ὑψῶσαι ᾠδήν.

Plúrimi étiam de sacerdótibus et Levítis, et príncipes patrum, et senióres, qui víderant templum prius cum fundátum esset, et hoc templum in óculis eórum, flebant voce magna: et multi vociferántes in lætítia, elevábant vocem.

וְאֵ֣ין הָעָ֗ם מַכִּירִים֙ ק֚וֹל תְּרוּעַ֣ת הַשִּׂמְחָ֔ה לְק֖וֹל בְּכִ֣י הָעָ֑ם כִּ֣י הָעָ֗ם מְרִיעִים֙ תְּרוּעָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֔ה וְהַקּ֥וֹל נִשְׁמַ֖ע עַד לְמֵ־רָחֽוֹק׃ פ

καὶ οὐκ ἦν λαὸς ἐπιγινώσκων φωνὴν σημασίας τῆς εὐφροσύνης ἀπὸ τῆς φωνῆς τοῦ κλαυθμοῦ, ὅτι λαὸς ἐκραύγασεν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ, καὶ ἠκούετο ἕως ἀπὸ μακρόθεν.

Nec póterat quisquam agnóscere vocem clamóris lætántium, et vocem fletus pópuli: commístim enim pópulus vociferabátur clamóre magno, et vox audiebátur procul.
