וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֔וּ צָרֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה וּבִנְיָמִ֑ן כִּֽי־בְנֵ֤י הַגּוֹלָה֙ בּוֹנִ֣ים הֵיכָ֔ל לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ θλίβοντες Ἰουδὰ καὶ Βενιαμὶν ὅτι οἱ υἱοὶ τῆς ἀποικίας οἰκοδομοῦσιν οἶκον τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ Ἰσραήλ ·

וַיִּגְּשׁ֨וּ אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶ֜ל וְאֶל־רָאשֵׁ֣י הָֽאָב֗וֹת וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ לָהֶם֙ נִבְנֶ֣ה עִמָּכֶ֔ם כִּ֣י כָכֶ֔ם נִדְר֖וֹשׁ לֵֽאלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם ולא ׀ אֲנַ֣חְנוּ זֹבְחִ֗ים מִימֵי֙ אֵסַ֤ר חַדֹּן֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר הַמַּעֲלֶ֥ה אֹתָ֖נוּ פֹּֽה׃

καὶ ἤγγισαν πρὸς Ζοροβαβὲλ καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἄρχοντας τῶν πατριῶν, καὶ εἶπαν αὐτοῖς Οἰκοδομήσομεν μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν, ὅτι ὡς ὑμεῖς ἐκζητοῦμεν τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν, καὶ αὐτῷ ἡμεῖς θυσιάζομεν ἀπὸ ἡμερῶν Ἀσαρεαθὼν βασιλέως Ἀσσοὺρ τοῦ ἐνέγκαντος ἡμᾶς ὧδε.

καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς Ζοροβαβὲλ καὶ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν πατριῶν τοῦ Ἰσραήλ Οὐχ ἡμῖν καὶ ὑμῖν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν, ὅτι ἡμεῖς ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ οἰκοδομήσομεν τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ἡμῶν, ὡς ἐνετείλατο ἡμῖν Κῦρος βασιλεὺς Περσῶν.

Nunc ígitur notum sit regi, quia si cívitas illa ædificáta fúerit, et muri eius instauráti, tribútum, et vectígal, et ánnuos réditus non dabunt, et usque ad reges hæc noxa pervéniet.

ἵνα ἐπισκέψηται ἐν βιβλίῳ ὑπομνηματισμοῦ τῶν πατέρων σου, καὶ εὑρήσεις καὶ γνώσῃ ὅτι πόλις ἐκείνη πόλις ἀποστάτις, καὶ κακοποιοῦσα βασιλεῖς καὶ χώρας, καὶ φυγαδεῖα δούλων ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ἀπὸ ἡμερῶν αἰῶνος · διὰ ταῦτα πόλις αὕτη ἠρημώθη.

ut recénseas in libris historiárum patrum tuórum, et invénies scriptum in commentáriis: et scies quóniam urbs illa, urbs rebéllis est, et nocens régibus et provínciis, et bella concitántur in ea ex diébus antíquis: quam ob rem et cívitas ipsa destrúcta est.

מְהוֹדְעִ֤ין אֲנַ֨חְנָה֙ לְמַלְכָּ֔א דִּ֠י הֵ֣ן קִרְיְתָ֥א דָךְ֙ תִּתְבְּנֵ֔א וְשׁוּרַיָּ֖ה יִֽשְׁתַּכְלְל֑וּן לָקֳבֵ֣ל דְּנָ֔ה חֲלָק֙ בַּעֲבַ֣ר נַהֲרָ֔א לָ֥א אִיתַ֖י לָֽךְ׃ פ
