וַיִּזְכֹּ֤ר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶת־נֹ֔חַ וְאֵ֤ת כָּל הַֽ־חַיָּה֙ וְאֶת־כָּל הַ־בְּהֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ בַּתֵּבָ֑ה וַיַּעֲבֵ֨ר אֱלֹהִ֥ים ר֨וּחַ֙ עַל הָ־אָ֔רֶץ וַיָּשֹׁ֖כּוּ הַמָּֽיִם׃

Καὶ ἐμνήσθη ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Νῶε, καὶ πάντων τῶν θηρίων καὶ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν καὶ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ πάντων τῶν ἑρπετῶν ὅσα ἦν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ · καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ὁ θεὸς πνεῦμα ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, καὶ ἐκόπασεν τὸ ὕδωρ.

Recordátus autem Deus Noe, cunctorúmque animántium, et ómnium iumentórum, quæ erant cum eo in arca, addúxit spíritum super terram, et imminútæ sunt aquæ.

ויזכר אלהים את־נח ואת־כל החיה ואת־כל הבהמה אשׁר אתו בתבה ויעבר אלהים רוח על הארץ וישׁכו המים

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that [was] with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

וַיִּסָּֽכְרוּ֙ מַעְיְנֹ֣ת תְּה֔וֹם וַֽאֲרֻבֹּ֖ת הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וַיִּכָּלֵ֥א הַגֶּ֖שֶׁם מִן הַ־שָּׁמָֽיִם׃
2
καὶ ἀπεκαλύφθησαν αἱ πηγαὶ τῆς ἀβύσσου καὶ οἱ καταράκται τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ συνεσχέθη ὁ ὑετὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ,

Et clausi sunt fontes abýssi, et cataráctæ cæli: et prohíbitæ sunt plúviæ de cælo.

ויסכרו מעינות תהום וארבות השׁמים ויכל הגשׁם מן השׁמים
2
The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

וַיָּשֻׁ֧בוּ הַמַּ֛יִם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָ֖רֶץ הָל֣וֹךְ וָשׁ֑וֹב וַיַּחְסְר֣וּ הַמַּ֔יִם מִקְצֵ֕ה חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת יֽוֹם׃
3
καὶ ἐνεδίδου τὸ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς · ἐνεδίδου τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἠλαττονοῦτο μετὰ πεντήκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ἡμέρας.

Reversǽque sunt aquæ de terra eúntes et redeúntes: et cœpérunt mínui post centum quinquagínta dies.

וישׁבו המים מעל הארץ הלכו ושׁבו ויחסרו המים מקץ חמשׁים ומאת יום
3
And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

וַתָּ֤נַח הַתֵּבָה֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י בְּשִׁבְעָה־עָשָׂ֥ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ עַ֖ל הָרֵ֥י אֲרָרָֽט׃
4
καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἡ κιβωτὸς ἐν μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ, ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός, ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ Ἀραράτ.

Requievítque arca mense séptimo, vigésimo séptimo die mensis, super montes Arméniæ.

ותנח התבה בחדשׁ השׁביעי בשׁבעה־עשׂר יום לחדשׁ על הרי הררט

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

וְהַמַּ֗יִם הָיוּ֙ הָל֣וֹךְ וְחָס֔וֹר עַ֖ד הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָֽעֲשִׂירִ֑י בָּֽעֲשִׂירִי֙ בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ נִרְא֖וּ רָאשֵׁ֥י הֶֽהָרִֽים׃

τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἠλαττονοῦτο ἕως τοῦ δεκάτου μηνός · ἐν δὲ τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ μηνί, τῇ πρώτῃ τοῦ μηνός, ὤφθησαν αἱ κεφαλαὶ τῶν ὀρέων.

At vero aquæ ibant et decrescébant usque ad décimum mensem: décimo enim mense, primo die mensis, apparuérunt cacúmina móntium.

והמים היו הלכו וחסרו עד חדשׁ העשׂירי בעשׂירי באחד לחדשׁ נראו ראשׁי ההרים

And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth [month], on the first [day] of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

וַֽיְהִ֕י מִקֵּ֖ץ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֑וֹם וַיִּפְתַּ֣ח נֹ֔חַ אֶת־חַלּ֥וֹן הַתֵּבָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה׃

Καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας ἠνέῳξεν Νῶε τὴν θυρίδα τῆς κιβωτοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν,

Cumque transíssent quadragínta dies, apériens Noe fenéstram arcæ, quam fécerat, dimísit corvum:

ויהי מקץ ארבעים יום ויפתח נח את־חלון התבה אשׁר עשׂה

And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:

וַיְשַׁלַּ֖ח אֶת הָֽ־עֹרֵ֑ב וַיֵּצֵ֤א יָצוֹא֙ וָשׁ֔וֹב עַד־יְבֹ֥שֶׁת הַמַּ֖יִם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃
7
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὸν κόρακα τοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ · καὶ ἐξελθὼν οὐχ ὑπέστρεψεν ἕως τοῦ ξηρανθῆναι τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.

qui egrediebátur, et non revertebátur, donec siccaréntur aquæ super terram.

וישׁלח את הערב ויצא יצא ושׁב עד־יבשׁת המים מעל הארץ

And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת הַ־יּוֹנָ֖ה מֵאִתּ֑וֹ לִרְאוֹת֙ הֲקַ֣לּוּ הַמַּ֔יִם מֵעַ֖ל פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὴν περιστερὰν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.

Emísit quoque colúmbam post eum, ut vidéret si iam cessássent aquæ super fáciem terræ.

וישׁלח את היונה מאתו לראות הקלו המים מעל פני האדמה

Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;

וְלֹֽא־מָצְאָה֩ הַיּוֹנָ֨ה מָנ֜וֹחַ לְכַף רַגְלָ֗־הּ וַתָּ֤שָׁב אֵלָיו֙ אֶל הַ־תֵּבָ֔ה כִּי־מַ֖יִם עַל־פְּנֵ֣י כָל הָ־אָ֑רֶץ וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח יָדוֹ֙ וַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָ וַיָּבֵ֥א אֹתָ֛הּ אֵלָ֖יו אֶל הַ־תֵּבָֽה׃

καὶ οὐχ εὑροῦσα ἡ περιστερὰ ἀνάπαυσιν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῆς ἀνέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, ὅτι ὕδωρ ἦν ἐπὶ παντὶ προσώπῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς · καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς ἑαυτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν.

Quæ cum non invenísset ubi requiésceret pes eius, revérsa est ad eum in arcam: aquæ enim erant super univérsam terram: extendítque manum, et apprehénsam íntulit in arcam.

ולא מצא היונה מנוח לכף רגלה ותשׁב אליו אל התבה כי־מים על־פני כל הארץ וישׁלח את ידו ויקחה ויבא אתה אליו אל התבה

But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters [were] on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

וַיָּ֣חֶל ע֔וֹד שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים וַיֹּ֛סֶף שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת הַ־יּוֹנָ֖ה מִן הַ־תֵּבָֽה׃

καὶ ἐπισχὼν ἔτι ἡμέρας ἑπτὰ ἑτέρας πάλιν ἐξαπέστειλεν τὴν περιστερὰν ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ.

Exspectátis autem ultra septem diébus áliis, rursum dimísit colúmbam ex arca.

ויחל עוד שׁבעת ימים אחרים ויסף שׁלח את היונה מן התבה

And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;

וַתָּבֹ֨א אֵלָ֤יו הַיּוֹנָה֙ לְעֵ֣ת עֶ֔רֶב וְהִנֵּ֥ה עֲלֵה־זַ֖יִת טָרָ֣ף בְּפִ֑יהָ וַיֵּ֣דַע נֹ֔חַ כִּי־קַ֥לּוּ הַמַּ֖יִם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃
11
καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἡ περιστερὰ τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν, καὶ εἶχεν φύλλον ἐλαίας κάρφος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῆς · καὶ ἔγνω Νῶε ὅτι κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.

At illa venit ad eum ad vésperam, portans ramum olívæ viréntibus fóliis in ore suo: intelléxit ergo Noe quod cessássent aquæ super terram.

ותבא אליו היונה לעת ערב והנה עלי זית טרף בפיה וידע נח כי־קלו המים מעל הארץ
11
And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth [was] an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

וַיִּיָּ֣חֶל ע֔וֹד שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים וַיְשַׁלַּח֙ אֶת הַ־יּוֹנָ֔ה וְלֹֽא־יָסְפָ֥ה שׁוּב אֵלָ֖י־ו עֽוֹד׃
12
καὶ ἐπισχὼν ἔτι ἡμέρας ἑπτὰ ἑτέρας πάλιν ἐξαπέστειλεν τὴν περιστεράν, καὶ οὐ προσέθετο τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι πρὸς αὐτὸν ἔτι.

Exspectavítque nihilóminus septem álios dies: et emísit colúmbam, quæ non est revérsa ultra ad eum.

ויחל עוד שׁבעת ימים אחרים וישׁלח את היונה ולא־יספה שׁובה אליו עוד

And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.

וַֽ֠יְהִי בְּאַחַ֨ת וְשֵׁשׁ־מֵא֜וֹת שָׁנָ֗ה בָּֽרִאשׁוֹן֙ בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ חָֽרְב֥וּ הַמַּ֖יִם מֵעַ֣ל הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיָּ֤סַר נֹ֨חַ֙ אֶת־מִכְסֵ֣ה הַתֵּבָ֔ה וַיַּ֕רְא וְהִנֵּ֥ה חָֽרְב֖וּ פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃

Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νῶε, τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου, μιᾷ τοῦ μηνός, ἐξέλειπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς · καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν Νῶε τὴν στέγην τῆς κιβωτοῦ, καὶ ἴδεν ὅτι ἐξέλειπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς.

Igitur sexcentésimo primo anno, primo mense, prima die mensis, imminútæ sunt aquæ super terram: et apériens Noe tectum arcæ, aspéxit, vidítque quod exsiccáta esset superfícies terræ.

ויהי באחת ושׁשׁ־מאות שׁנה בראישׁון באחד לחדשׁ חרבו המים מעל הארץ ויסר נח את־מכסה התבה וירא והנה חרבו פני האדמה

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first [month], the first [day] of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

וּבַחֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י בְּשִׁבְעָ֧ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים י֖וֹם לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ יָבְשָׁ֖ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ס

ἐν δὲ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ, ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός, ἐξηράνθη ἡ γῆ.

Καὶ εἶπεν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νῶε λέγων.

Locútus est autem Deus ad Noe, dicens:

וידבר אלהים אל־נח לאמר

And God spake unto Noah, saying,

צֵ֖א מִן הַ־תֵּבָ֑ה אַתָּ֕ה וְאִשְׁתְּךָ֛ וּבָנֶ֥יךָ וּנְשֵֽׁי בָנֶ֖י־ךָ אִתָּֽךְ׃

Ἔξελθε ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ, σὺ καὶ ἡ γυνή σου καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν σου μετὰ σοῦ,
16
Egrédere de arca, tu et uxor tua, fílii tui et uxóres filiórum tuórum tecum.

צא מן התבה אתה ואשׁתך ובניך ונשׁי בניך אתך
16
Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons ’ wives with thee.

כָּל הַ־חַיָּ֨ה אֲשֶֽׁר אִתְּ־ךָ֜ מִכָּל־בָּשָׂ֗ר בָּע֧וֹף וּבַבְּהֵמָ֛ה וּבְכָל הָ־רֶ֛מֶשׂ הָרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל הָ־אָ֖רֶץ הוצא אִתָּ֑ךְ וְשָֽׁרְצ֣וּ בָאָ֔רֶץ וּפָר֥וּ וְרָב֖וּ עַל הָ־אָֽרֶץ׃

καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία ὅσα ἐστὶν μετὰ σοῦ, καὶ πᾶσα σὰρξ ἀπὸ πετεινῶν ἕως κτηνῶν, καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐξάγαγε μετὰ σοῦ · καὶ αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.

Cuncta animántia, quæ sunt apud te, ex omni carne, tam in volatílibus quam in béstiis et univérsis reptílibus, quæ reptant super terram, educ tecum, et ingredímini super terram: créscite et multiplicámini super eam.

וכל החיה אשׁר אתך מכל־בשׂר בעוף ובבהמה ובכל הרמשׂ הרמשׂ על הארץ הוציא אתך ושׁרצו בארץ ופרו ורבו על הארץ

Bring forth with thee every living thing that [is] with thee, of all flesh, [both] of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.

וַיֵּ֖צֵא־נֹ֑חַ וּבָנָ֛יו וְאִשְׁתּ֥וֹ וּנְשֵֽׁי בָנָ֖י־ו אִתּֽוֹ׃

καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Νῶε καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ·

Egréssus est ergo Noe, et fílii eius: uxor illíus, et uxóres filiórum eius cum eo.

ויצא־נח ובניו ואשׁתו ונשׁי בניו אתו

And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons ’ wives with him:

כָּל הַֽ־חַיָּ֗ה כָּל הָ־רֶ֨מֶשׂ֙ וְכָל הָ־ע֔וֹף כֹּ֖ל רוֹמֵ֣שׂ עַל הָ־אָ֑רֶץ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם יָצְא֖וּ מִן הַ־תֵּבָֽה׃

καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη καὶ πᾶν πετεινὸν καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς κατὰ γένος αὐτῶν ἐξήλθοσαν ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ. ⸆

Sed et ómnia animántia, iuménta, et reptília quæ reptant super terram secúndum genus suum, egréssa sunt de arca.

וכל החיה וכל העוף וכל הרמשׂ הרמשׂ על הארץ למשׁפחותיהם יצאו מן התבה

Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, [and] whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.

וַיִּ֥בֶן נֹ֛חַ מִזְבֵּ֖חַ לַֽיהוָ֑ה וַיִּקַּ֞ח מִכֹּ֣ל ׀ הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה הַטְּהוֹרָ֗ה וּמִכֹּל֙ הָע֣וֹף הַטָּהֹ֔ר וַיַּ֥עַל עֹלֹ֖ת בַּמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
20
Καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Νῶε θυσιαστήριον τῷ θεῷ, καὶ ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν καθαρῶν, καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ὁλοκάρπωσιν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον.

Ædificávit autem Noe altáre Dómino: et tollens de cunctis pecóribus et volúcribus mundis, óbtulit holocáusta super altáre.

ויבן נח מזבח ליהוה ויקח מכל הבהמה הטהרה ומכל העוף הטהור ויעל עלות במזבח
20
And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

וַיָּ֣רַח יְהוָה֮ אֶת־רֵ֣יחַ הַנִּיחֹחַ֒ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל לִבּ֗־וֹ לֹֽא־אֹ֠סִף לְקַלֵּ֨ל ע֤וֹד אֶת הָֽ־אֲדָמָה֙ בַּעֲב֣וּר הָֽאָדָ֔ם כִּ֠י יֵ֣צֶר לֵ֧ב הָאָדָ֛ם רַ֖ע מִנְּעֻרָ֑יו וְלֹֽא־אֹסִ֥ף ע֛וֹד לְהַכּ֥וֹת אֶת־כָּל־חַ֖י כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִֽׂיתִי׃

καὶ ὠσφράνθη Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας, καὶ εἶπεν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς διανοηθείς Οὐ προσθήσω ἔτι τοῦ καταράσασθαι τὴν γῆν διὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων, ὅτι ἔγκειται ἡ διάνοια τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπιμελῶς ἐπὶ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐκ νεότητος · οὐ προσθήσω οὖν ἔτι πατάξαι πᾶσαν σάρκα ζῶσαν καθὼς ἐποίησα.

Odoratúsque est Dóminus odórem suavitátis, et ait: Nequáquam ultra maledícam terræ propter hómines: sensus enim et cogitátio humáni cordis in malum prona sunt ab adolescéntia sua: non ígitur ultra percútiam omnem ánimam vivéntem sicut feci.

וירח יהוה את־ריח הניחח ויאמר יהוה אל לבו לא אוסיף עוד לקלל את האדמה בעבור האדם כי יצר לב האדם רע מנעריו ולא אוסיף עוד להכות את־כל־חי כאשׁר עשׂיתי

And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man ’s sake; for the imagination of man ’s heart [is] evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

עֹ֖ד כָּל־יְמֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ זֶ֡רַע וְ֠קָצִיר וְקֹ֨ר וָחֹ֜ם וְקַ֧יִץ וָחֹ֛רֶף וְי֥וֹם וָלַ֖יְלָה לֹ֥א יִשְׁבֹּֽתוּ׃
22
