כָּרַ֥ע בֵּל֙ קֹרֵ֣ס נְב֔וֹ הָיוּ֙ עֲצַבֵּיהֶ֔ם לַחַיָּ֖ה וְלַבְּהֵמָ֑ה נְשֻׂאֹתֵיכֶ֣ם עֲמוּס֔וֹת מַשָּׂ֖א לַעֲיֵפָֽה׃

Ἔπεσε Βήλ, συνετρίβη Ναβώ, ἐγένετο τὰ γλυπτὰ αὐτῶν εἰς θηρία καὶ τὰ κτήνη · αἴρετε αὐτὰ καταδεδεμένα ὡς φορτίον κοπιῶντι

Confráctus est Bel, contrítus est Nabo: facta sunt simulácra eórum béstiis et iuméntis, ónera vestra gravi póndere usque ad lassitúdinem.

קָרְס֤וּ כָֽרְעוּ֙ יַחְדָּ֔ו לֹ֥א יָכְל֖וּ מַלֵּ֣ט מַשָּׂ֑א וְנַפְשָׁ֖ם בַּשְּׁבִ֥י הָלָֽכָה׃ ס

ἐκλελυμένῳ καὶ πεινῶντι, οὐκ ἰσχύοντι ἅμα, οἳ οὐ δυνήσονται σωθῆναι ἀπὸ πολέμου, αὐτοὶ δὲ αἰχμάλωτοι ἤχθησαν

הַזָּלִ֤ים זָהָב֙ מִכִּ֔יס וְכֶ֖סֶף בַּקָּנֶ֣ה יִשְׁקֹ֑לוּ יִשְׂכְּר֤וּ צוֹרֵף֙ וְיַעֲשֵׂ֣הוּ אֵ֔ל יִסְגְּד֖וּ אַף־יִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּֽוּ׃

οἱ συμβαλλόμενοι χρυσίον ἐκ μαρσιππίου καὶ ἀργύριον ἐν ζυγῷ · στήσουσιν ἐν σταθμῷ καὶ μισθωσάμενοι χρυσοχόον ἐποίησαν χειροποίητα, καὶ κύψαντες προσκυνοῦσιν αὐτοῖς.

αἴρουσιν αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τοῦ ὤμου καὶ πορεύονται · ἐὰν δὲ θῶσιν αὐτό, ἐπὶ τοῦ τόπου αὐτοῦ μένει, οὐ μὴ κινηθῇ · καὶ ὃς ἐὰν βοήσῃ πρὸς αὐτόν, οὐ μὴ εἰσακούσῃ, ἀπὸ κακῶν οὐ μὴ σώσῃ αὐτόν.

Μνήσθητε ταῦτα καὶ στενάξατε, μετανοήσατε, οἱ πεπλανημένοι, ἐπιστρέψατε τῇ καρδίᾳ,

καλῶν ἀπ᾽ ἀνατολῶν πετεινὸν καὶ ἀπὸ γῆς πόρρωθεν περὶ ὧν βεβούλευμαι, ἐλάλησα καὶ ἤγαγον, ἔκτισα καὶ ἐποίησα, ἤγαγον αὐτὸν καὶ εὐόδωσα τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ.

ἤγγισα τὴν δικαιοσύνην μου, καὶ τὴν σωτηρίαν τὴν παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ οὐ βραδυνῶ · δέδωκα ἐν Σειὼν σωτηρίαν τῷ Ἰσαὴλ εἰς δόξασμα.

Prope feci iustítiam meam, non elongábitur, et salus mea non morábitur. Dabo in Sion salútem, et in Israel glóriam meam.
