רְדִ֣י ׀ וּשְׁבִ֣י עַל־עָפָ֗ר בְּתוּלַת֙ בַּת־בָּבֶ֔ל שְׁבִי לָ־אָ֥רֶץ אֵין־כִּסֵּ֖א בַּת־כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים כִּ֣י לֹ֤א תוֹסִ֨יפִי֙ יִקְרְאוּ לָ֔־ךְ רַכָּ֖ה וַעֲנֻגָּֽה׃

Κατάβηθι, κάθισον ἐπὶ γῆν, παρθένος θυγάτηρ Βαβυλῶνος · κάθισον εἰς τὴν γῆν, θυγάτηρ Χαλδαίων, ὅτι οὐκέτι προστεθήσῃ κληθῆναι ἁπαλὴ καὶ τρυφερά.

νῦν δὲ ἥξει ἐξέφνης ἐπὶ σὲ ἐν τῇ φαρμακίᾳ σου, ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι τῶν ἐπαοιδῶν σου σφόδρα,

Vénient tibi duo hæc súbito in die una, sterílitas et vidúitas: univérsa venérunt super te, propter multitúdinem maleficiórum tuórum, et propter durítiam incantatórum tuórum veheméntem.

τῇ ἐλπίδι τῆς πονηρίας σου. σὺ γὰρ εἶπας Ἐγώ εἰμι, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἑτέρα · γνῶθι, ἡ σύνεσις τούτων ἔσται καὶ ἡ πορνία σου σοὶ αἰσχύνη · καὶ εἶπας τῇ καρδίᾳ σου Ἐγώ εἰμι, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἑτέρα.

Et fidúciam habuísti in malítia tua, et dixísti: Non est qui vídeat me: sapiéntia tua et sciéntia tua hæc decépit te. Et dixísti in corde tuo: Ego sum, et præter me non est áltera.

οὗτοι ἔσονταί σοι βοήθεια · ἐκοπίασας ἐν τῇ μεταβολῇ ἐκ νεότητος, ἄνθρωπος καθ᾽ ἑαυτὸν ἐπλανήθη · σοὶ δὲ οὐκ ἔσται σωτηρία.
