וַיַּ֥עַן אִיּ֗וֹב וַיֹּאמַֽר׃

Καὶ δὴ οἶδα ὅτι ἐκ χειρός μου ἔλεγξίς ἐστιν καὶ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ βαρεῖα γέγονεν ἐπ᾽ ἐμῷ στεναγμῷ.

Nunc quoque in amaritúdine est sermo meus, et manus plagæ meæ aggraváta est super gémitum meum.

τίς δ᾽ ἄρα γνοίη ὅτι εὕροιμι αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλθοιμι εἰς τέλος;

אֶעֶרְכָ֣ה לְפָנָ֣יו מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּ֝פִ֗י אֲמַלֵּ֥א תוֹכָחֽוֹת׃

εἴποιμι δὲ ἐμαυτοῦ κρίμα, τὸ δὲ στόμα μου ἐμπλήσαι ἐλέγχων ·

γνῴην δὲ ἰάματα μοι ἐρεῖ, αἰσθοίμην δὲ τίνα μοι ἀπαγγελεῖ.

καὶ ἐν πολλῇ ἰσχύι ἐπελεύσεταί μοι · εἶτα ἐν ἀπειλῇ μοι οὐ χρήσεται.

εἰς γὰρ πρῶτα πορεύσομαι, καὶ οὐκ ἔτι εἰμί, τὰ δὲ ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτοις, τί οἶδα;

οἶδεν γὰρ ἤδη ὁδόν μου, διέκρινεν δέ με ὥσπερ τὸ χρυσίον.
