וַיְדַבֵּ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה בְּהַ֥ר סִינַ֖י לֵאמֹֽר׃

Καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σεινὰ λέγων

Locutúsque est Dóminus ad Móysen in monte Sínai, dicens:

וידבר יהוה אל־משׁה בהר סיני לאמר

And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶל־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם כִּ֤י תָבֹ֨אוּ֙ אֶל הָ־אָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י נֹתֵ֣ן לָכֶ֑ם וְשָׁבְתָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ שַׁבָּ֖ת לַיהוָֽה׃

Λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς Ἐὰν εἰσέλθητε εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι ὑμῖν, καὶ ἀναπαύσεται ἡ γῆ ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι ὑμῖν σάββατα τῷ κυρίῳ.

Lóquere fíliis Israel, et dices ad eos: Quando ingréssi fuéritis terram quam ego dabo vobis, sabbatízes sábbatum Dómino.

דבר אל־בני ישׂראל ואמרת אליהם כי תבאו אל הארץ אשׁר אני נתן לכם ושׁבתה הארץ שׁבת ליהוה

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.

שֵׁ֤שׁ שָׁנִים֙ תִּזְרַ֣ע שָׂדֶ֔ךָ וְשֵׁ֥שׁ שָׁנִ֖ים תִּזְמֹ֣ר כַּרְמֶ֑ךָ וְאָסַפְתָּ֖ אֶת תְּבוּאָתָֽ־הּ׃
3
ἓξ ἔτη σπερεῖς τὸν ἀγρόν σου, καὶ ἓξ ἔτη τεμεῖς τὴν ἄμπελόν σου καὶ συνάξεις τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς ·

Sex annis seres agrum tuum, et sex annis putábis víneam tuam, colligésque fructus eius:

שׁשׁ שׁנים תזרע שׂדך ושׁשׁ שׁנים תזמר כרמך ואספת את תבואתה
3
Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;

וּבַשָּׁנָ֣ה הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗ת שַׁבַּ֤ת שַׁבָּתוֹן֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָאָ֔רֶץ שַׁבָּ֖ת לַיהוָ֑ה שָֽׂדְךָ֙ לֹ֣א תִזְרָ֔ע וְכַרְמְךָ֖ לֹ֥א תִזְמֹֽר׃
4
τῷ δὲ ἔτει τῷ ἑβδόμῳ σάββατα ἀνάπαυσις ἔσται τῇ γῇ, σάββατα τῷ κυρίῳ · τὸν ἀγρόν σου οὐ σπερεῖς καὶ τὴν ἄμπελόν σου οὐ τεμεῖς,

séptimo autem anno sábbatum erit terræ, requietiónis Dómini: agrum non seres, et víneam non putábis.

ובשׁנה השׁביעית שׁבת שׁבתון יהיה לארץ שׁבת ליהוה שׂדך לא תזרע וכרמך לא תזמר

But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

אֵ֣ת סְפִ֤יחַ קְצִֽירְךָ֙ לֹ֣א תִקְצ֔וֹר וְאֶת־עִנְּבֵ֥י נְזִירֶ֖ךָ לֹ֣א תִבְצֹ֑ר שְׁנַ֥ת שַׁבָּת֖וֹן יִהְיֶ֥ה לָאָֽרֶץ׃
5
καὶ τὰ αὐτόματα ἀναβαίνοντα τοῦ ἀγροῦ σου οὐκ ἐκθερίσεις καὶ τὴν σταφυλὴν τοῦ ἁγιάσματός σου οὐκ ἐκτρυγήσεις · ἐνιαυτὸς ἀναπαύσεως ἔσται τῇ γῇ.

Quæ sponte gignet humus, non metes: et uvas primitiárum tuárum non cólliges quasi vindémiam: annus enim requietiónis terræ est:

ואת ספחי קציריך לא תקצר ואת־ענבי נזיריך לא תבצר שׁנת שׁבתון יהיה לארץ
5
That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: [for] it is a year of rest unto the land.

וְ֠הָיְתָה שַׁבַּ֨ת הָאָ֤רֶץ לָכֶם֙ לְאָכְלָ֔ה לְךָ֖ וּלְעַבְדְּךָ֣ וְלַאֲמָתֶ֑ךָ וְלִשְׂכִֽירְךָ֙ וּלְתוֹשָׁ֣בְךָ֔ הַגָּרִ֖ים עִמָּֽךְ׃
6
καὶ ἔσται τὰ σάββατα τῆς γῆς βρώματά σοι καὶ τῷ παιδί σου καὶ τῇ παιδίσκῃ σου καὶ τῷ μισθωτῷ σου καὶ τῷ παροίκῳ τῷ προσκειμένῳ πρὸς σέ ·

sed erunt vobis in cibum, tibi et servo tuo, ancíllæ et mercenário tuo, et ádvenæ qui peregrinántur apud te:

והיתה שׁבת הארץ לכם לאכלה לך ולעבדיך ולאמתיך ולשׂכיריך ולתושׁביך הגרים עמך

And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,

וְלִ֨בְהֶמְתְּךָ֔ וְלַֽחַיָּ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּאַרְצֶ֑ךָ תִּהְיֶ֥ה כָל תְּבוּאָתָ֖־הּ לֶאֱכֹֽל׃ ס

καὶ τοῖς κτήνεσίν σου καὶ τοῖς θηρίοις τοῖς ἐν τῇ γῇ σου ἔσται πᾶν τὸ γένημα αὐτοῦ εἰς βρῶσιν.

ולבהמתך ולחיה אשׁר בארצך תהיה כל תבואתה לאכל

And for thy cattle, and for the beast that [are] in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.

וְסָפַרְתָּ֣ לְךָ֗ שֶׁ֚בַע שַׁבְּתֹ֣ת שָׁנִ֔ים שֶׁ֥בַע שָׁנִ֖ים שֶׁ֣בַע פְּעָמִ֑ים וְהָי֣וּ לְךָ֗ יְמֵי֙ שֶׁ֚בַע שַׁבְּתֹ֣ת הַשָּׁנִ֔ים תֵּ֥שַׁע וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים שָׁנָֽה׃

Καὶ ἐξαριθμήσεις σεαυτῷ ἑπτὰ ἀναπαύσεις ἐτῶν, ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἑπτάκις · καὶ ἔσονταί σοι ἑπτὰ ἑβδομάδες ἐτῶν ἐννέα καὶ τεσσεράκοντα ἔτη.

Numerábis quoque tibi septem hebdómadas annórum, id est, sépties septem, quæ simul fáciunt annos quadragínta novem:

וספרת לך שׁבע שׁבתות שׁנים שׁבע שׁנים שׁבע פעמים והיו לך ימי שׁבע שׁבתות השׁנים תשׁע וארבעים שׁנה
8
And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֞ שׁוֹפַ֤ר תְּרוּעָה֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִעִ֔י בֶּעָשׂ֖וֹר לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ בְּיוֹם֙ הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים תַּעֲבִ֥ירוּ שׁוֹפָ֖ר בְּכָל אַרְצְ־כֶֽם׃

καὶ διαγγελεῖτε σάλπιγγος φωνῇ ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ ὑμῶν, ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ, τῇ δεκάτῃ τοῦ μηνός · τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ ἱλασμοῦ, διαγγελεῖτε σάλπιγγι ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ ὑμῶν.

et clanges búccina mense séptimo, décima die mensis, propitiatiónis témpore, in univérsa terra vestra.

והעברת שׁופר תרועה בחדשׁ השׁביעי בעשׂור לחדשׁ ביום הכפורים תעבירו שׁופר בכל ארצכם

Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth [day] of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

וְקִדַּשְׁתֶּ֗ם אֵ֣ת שְׁנַ֤ת הַחֲמִשִּׁים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּקְרָאתֶ֥ם דְּר֛וֹר בָּאָ֖רֶץ לְכָל יֹשְׁבֶ֑י־הָ יוֹבֵ֥ל הִוא֙ תִּהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם וְשַׁבְתֶּ֗ם אִ֚ישׁ אֶל אֲחֻזָּת֔־וֹ וְאִ֥ישׁ אֶל מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֖־וֹ תָּשֻֽׁבוּ׃

καὶ ἁγιάσατε τὸ ἔτος τὸ πεντηκοστὸν ἐνιαυτόν, καὶ διαβοήσετε ἄφεσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς πᾶσιν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν αὐτήν · ἐνιαυτὸς ἀφέσεως σημασία αὕτη ἔσται ὑμῖν, καὶ ἀπελεύσεται εἷς ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν κτῆσιν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν πατρίδα αὐτοῦ ἀπελεύσεσθε.

Sanctificabísque annum quinquagésimum, et vocábis remissiónem cunctis habitatóribus terræ tuæ: ipse est enim iubilǽus. Revertétur homo ad possessiónem suam, et unusquísque rédiet ad famíliam prístinam:

וקדשׁתם את שׁנת החמשׁים שׁנה וקראתם דרור בארץ לכל ישׁביה יובל הוא תהיה לכם ושׁבתם אישׁ אל אחזתו ואישׁ אל משׁפחתו תשׁובו
10
And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout [all] the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

יוֹבֵ֣ל הִ֗וא שְׁנַ֛ת הַחֲמִשִּׁ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה תִּהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם לֹ֣א תִזְרָ֔עוּ וְלֹ֤א תִקְצְרוּ֙ אֶת סְפִיחֶ֔י־הָ וְלֹ֥א תִבְצְר֖וּ אֶת נְזִרֶֽי־הָ׃

ἀφέσεως σημασία αὕτη, τὸ ἔτος τὸ πεντηκοστὸν ἐνιαυτὸς ἔσται ὑμῖν · οὐ σπερεῖτε, οὐδὲ ἀμήσετε τὰ αὐτόματα ἀναβαίνοντα αὐτῆς, καὶ οὐ τρυγήσετε τὰ ἡγιασμένα αὐτῆς ·

quia iubilǽus est, et quinquagésimus annus. Non serétis neque metétis sponte in agro nascéntia, et primítias vindémiæ non colligétis,

יובל הוא שׁנת החמשׁים שׁנה תהיה לכם לא תזרעו ולא תקצרו את ספחיה ולא תבצרו את נזיריה
11
A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather [the grapes] in it of thy vine undressed.

כִּ֚י יוֹבֵ֣ל הִ֔וא קֹ֖דֶשׁ תִּהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם מִן הַ֨־שָּׂדֶ֔ה תֹּאכְל֖וּ אֶת תְּבוּאָתָֽ־הּ׃

ὅτι ἀφέσεως σημασία ἐστίν, ἅγιον ἔσται ὑμῖν · ἀπὸ τῶν πεδίων φάγεσθε τὰ γενήματα αὐτῆς.

כי יובל הוא קדשׁ תהיה לכם מן השׂדה תאכלו את תבואתה

For it [is] the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

בִּשְׁנַ֥ת הַיּוֹבֵ֖ל הַזֹּ֑את תָּשֻׁ֕בוּ אִ֖ישׁ אֶל אֲחֻזָּתֽ־וֹ׃

ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῆς ἀφέσεως σημασίᾳ αὐτῆς ἐπανελεύσεται εἰς τὴν κτῆσιν αὐτοῦ.

וְכִֽי־תִמְכְּר֤וּ מִמְכָּר֙ לַעֲמִיתֶ֔ךָ א֥וֹ קָנֹ֖ה מִיַּ֣ד עֲמִיתֶ֑ךָ אַל־תּוֹנ֖וּ אִ֥ישׁ אֶת אָחִֽי־ו׃

ἐὰν δὲ ἀποδῷ πρᾶσιν τῷ πλησίον σου, ἐὰν καὶ κτήσῃ παρὰ τοῦ πλησίον σου, μὴ θλιβέτω ἄνθρωπος τὸν πλησίον ·

Quando vendes quíppiam civi tuo, vel emes ab eo, ne contrístes fratrem tuum, sed iuxta númerum annórum iubilǽi emes ab eo,

וכי תמכר ממכר לעמיתך או קנה מיד עמיתך אל־תונו אישׁ את אחיו
14
And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest [ought] of thy neighbour ’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

בְּמִסְפַּ֤ר שָׁנִים֙ אַחַ֣ר הַיּוֹבֵ֔ל תִּקְנֶ֖ה מֵאֵ֣ת עֲמִיתֶ֑ךָ בְּמִסְפַּ֥ר שְׁנֵֽי־תְבוּאֹ֖ת יִמְכָּר לָֽ־ךְ׃

κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ἐτῶν μετὰ τὴν σημασίαν κτήσῃ παρὰ τοῦ πλησίον, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ἐνιαυτῶν γενημάτων ἀποδώσεταί σοι.

et iuxta supputatiónem frugum vendet tibi.

במספר שׁנים אחר היובל תקנה מאת עמיתך במספר שׁני־תבואת ימכר לך

According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, [and] according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:

לְפִ֣י ׀ רֹ֣ב הַשָּׁנִ֗ים תַּרְבֶּה֙ מִקְנָת֔וֹ וּלְפִי֙ מְעֹ֣ט הַשָּׁנִ֔ים תַּמְעִ֖יט מִקְנָת֑וֹ כִּ֚י מִסְפַּ֣ר תְּבוּאֹ֔ת ה֥וּא מֹכֵ֖ר לָֽךְ׃

καθότι ἂν πλεῖον τῶν ἐτῶν πληθύνῃ τὴν ἔνκτησιν αὐτοῦ, καὶ καθότι ἂν ἔλαττον τῶν ἐτῶν ἐλαττονώσῃ τὴν κτῆσιν αὐτοῦ · ὅτι ἀριθμὸν γενημάτων αὐτοῦ οὕτως ἀποδώσεταί σοι.

Quanto plures anni remánserint post iubilǽum, tanto crescet et prétium: et quanto minus témporis numeráveris, tanto minóris et émptio constábit: tempus enim frugum vendet tibi.

לפי רב השׁנים תרבה מקנתו ולפי מעט השׁנים תמעיט מקנתו כי מספר תבואת הוא מכר לך

According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for [according] to the number [of the years] of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.

וְלֹ֤א תוֹנוּ֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת עֲמִית֔־וֹ וְיָרֵ֖אתָ מֵֽאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

μὴ θλιβέτω ἄνθρωπος τὸν πλησίον, καὶ φοβηθήσῃ Κύριον τὸν θεόν σου · ἐγώ εἰμι Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν.

Nolíte afflígere contribúles vestros, sed tímeat unusquísque Deum suum, quia ego Dóminus Deus vester.

ולא תונו אישׁ את עמיתו ויראת מאלהיך כי אני יהוה אלהיכם

Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I [am] the LORD your God.

וַעֲשִׂיתֶם֙ אֶת חֻקֹּתַ֔־י וְאֶת מִשְׁפָּטַ֥־י תִּשְׁמְר֖וּ וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם אֹתָ֑ם וִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֥ם עַל הָ־אָ֖רֶץ לָבֶֽטַח׃

Καὶ ποιήσετε πάντα τὰ δικαιώματά μου καὶ πάσας τὰς κρίσεις μου, καὶ φυλάξασθε καὶ ποιήσετε αὐτά, καὶ κατοικήσετε πεποιθότες ·

Fácite præcépta mea, et iudícia custodíte, et impléte ea: ut habitáre possítis in terra absque ullo pavóre,

ועשׂיתם את חקותי ואת משׁפטי תשׁמרו ועשׂיתם אתם וישׁבתם על הארץ לבטח

Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

וְנָתְנָ֤ה הָאָ֨רֶץ֙ פִּרְיָ֔הּ וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖ם לָשֹׂ֑בַע וִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֥ם לָבֶ֖טַח עָלֶֽיהָ׃
19
καὶ δώσει ἡ γῆ τὰ ἐκφόρια αὐτῆς, καὶ φάγεσθε εἰς πλησμονήν, καὶ κατοικήσετε πεποιθότες ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς.

et gignat vobis humus fructus suos, quibus vescámini usque ad saturitátem, nullíus ímpetum formidántes.

ונתנה הארץ פריה ואכלתם לשׁבע וישׁבתם לבטח עליה
19
And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

וְכִ֣י תֹאמְר֔וּ מַה־נֹּאכַ֤֖ל בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַשְּׁבִיעִ֑ת הֵ֚ן לֹ֣א נִזְרָ֔ע וְלֹ֥א נֶאֱסֹ֖ף אֶת תְּבוּאָתֵֽ־נוּ׃
20
ἐὰν δὲ λέγητε Τί φαγόμεθα ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ ἑβδόμῳ τούτῳ ἐὰν μὴ σπείρωμεν μηδὲ συναγάγωμεν τὰ γενήματα ἡμῶν;
20
Quod si dixéritis: Quid comedémus anno séptimo, si non sevérimus, neque collegérimus fruges nostras?

וכי תאמרו מה־נאכל בשׁנה השׁביעית הן לא נזרע ולא נאסף את תבואתינו
20
And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:

וְצִוִּ֤יתִי אֶת בִּרְכָתִ־י֙ לָכֶ֔ם בַּשָּׁנָ֖ה הַשִּׁשִּׁ֑ית וְעָשָׂת֙ אֶת הַ־תְּבוּאָ֔ה לִשְׁלֹ֖שׁ הַשָּׁנִֽים׃

καὶ ἀποστέλλω τὴν εὐλογίαν μου ὑμῖν ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ ἕκτῳ, καὶ ποιήσει τὰ γενήματα αὐτῆς εἰς τὰ τρία ἔτη.

Dabo benedictiónem meam vobis anno sexto, et fáciet fructus trium annórum:

וצויתי את ברכתי לכם בשׁנה השׁשׁית ועשׂתה את תבואתה לשׁלשׁ השׁנים

Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

וּזְרַעְתֶּ֗ם אֵ֚ת הַשָּׁנָ֣ה הַשְּׁמִינִ֔ת וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖ם מִן הַ־תְּבוּאָ֣ה יָשָׁ֑ן עַ֣ד ׀ הַשָּׁנָ֣ה הַתְּשִׁיעִ֗ת עַד־בּוֹא֙ תְּב֣וּאָתָ֔הּ תֹּאכְל֖וּ יָשָֽׁן׃

καὶ σπερεῖτε τὸ ἔτος τὸ ὄγδοον, καὶ φάγεσθε ἀπὸ τῶν γενημάτων παλαιά · ἕως τοῦ ἔτους τοῦ ἐνάτου, ἕως ἂν ἔλθῃ τὸ γένημα αὐτῆς, φάγεσθε παλαιὰ παλαιῶν.

seretísque anno octávo, et comedétis véteres fruges usque ad nonum annum: donec nova nascántur, edétis vétera.

וזרעתם את השׁנה השׁמינית ואכלתם מן התבואתה ישׁן עד השׁנה התשׁעית עד בא תבואתה תאכלו ישׁן

And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat [yet] of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat [of] the old [store].

וְהָאָ֗רֶץ לֹ֤א תִמָּכֵר֙ לִצְמִתֻ֔ת כִּי לִ֖־י הָאָ֑רֶץ כִּֽי־גֵרִ֧ים וְתוֹשָׁבִ֛ים אַתֶּ֖ם עִמָּדִֽי׃

וחשׁב עם קנהו משׁנת המכר לו עד שׁנת היובל והיה כסף ממכרו במספר שׁנים כימי שׂכיר יהיה עמו

And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.
